Wow last day of August, summer is flying by All the girls have finally stepped into high gear and are flourishing although in years past at this time of season my girls have always been further along. I guess this means a later harvest this year? Wondering if other growers are experiencing the same pattern. Sept.1 and average temps have started to drop during the day and the morning dew has reared its ugly head once again. This will probably be the case from here on in. Going to try my best to keep the girls from staying wet throughout the day. Sept.3 noticed some powdery mildew on my Godfather OG #1 in front of the wall. Made up a concoction of 1 litre of milk to 3 litres of water and gave her a good spray after the sun went down. Also sprayed the rest of my girls as a preventative. Hopefully this will help manage the problem. Sept. 6 this week has been quite windy most days and my Godfather OG blew over landing on top of Trainwreck #1 and breaking 2 lower colas OUCH! 👺 My fault for having Godfather to close Trainwreck

I need to share a secret about Black Widow. This report is about the second nut. The first one I soaked 17 days earlier. On day 13, it really slowed down after the transfer, so I just left it in the sun under the strawberry plant. Now it's been through two prunings and one nitrogen deficiency (the main stem was very red). I put it in a DWC bucket. It throws roots beautifully. What I've learned about DWC: Use it only after 1–2 weeks of rooting. In hot weather, enzymes really help deal with flowering. With them, pH stays stable at 5.9 even at +28°C. The solution stays clean. Also, Hesi Root helps the roots survive the scorching heat (temps around +29°C, close to critical +30). And a CO₂Bag – without it, growth would stall. She drinks little by little. Speaking of simplicity: my DWC runs on 15 liters of solution, using the simplest setup – an AquaPot for about 22 EUR, including the air pump. That's it. And the real simplicity is in the base Hesi line: one bottle for veg, one for bloom. Compare that to Canna – they need two bottles for each stage. Minimalism wins. In the background – the second widow, which this report is about. She's flawless and planted in 15L of coco (Simplex Coco and UGRO RHIZA). Mixed in once: Powder Feeding Bio Grow 3 g/L and Bio Bloom 4 g/L. The second one is already throwing flowers and slowing down in growth. The first one, on hydro, I switched to 12/12 several weeks later, so she's in no hurry. I'm happy to have the chance to try the full HESI HYDRO kit on coco at +29°C and on DWC without chillers, for about 330 EUR, no pH controllers or solution meters. I like minimalism, and it makes me happy when I can make it work in growing too. I missed one week – may the doctor forgive me.

12/25/2023-Germination Day 1 Merry X-mas 2023 I decided to start a run of SolFIre Gardens Hoodz Candyz S1. I am going to do a cup filled with RO water a touch of Hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 24-48 hours until I see tap root then I am going to put it into a rapid rooter.. Tap root Down and put it about 1/4 of the say down the Rapid rooter. I made some modifications to my basket on this run.. I have taken a few Pods that I use for my cloning machine and decided that I am going to try and use them as sure plants, so that I can take my water right up to the bottom of the basket this time and see if these can make my planting more consistent.   12/26/2023-Germination Day 2 Tap root achieved Planting Commencing 12/27/2023-Germination Day 3 Misted the dome lightly misted the rapid rooter and added a little water to the bottom of the pan to encourage root growth to the pan. 12/28/2023-Germination Day 4 Ground Hogs day 12/29/2023- Germination Day 5 She is up, she has broken surface, I misted the root riot, and around the bottom of the tray to try and entice root growth down rapidly. 12/31/2023- Germination Day 6 Ground Hogs Day 1/1/2024-Germination Day 7 HAPPY NEW YEARS!!.. I did it I planned it out so my planting day would fall on New Years and it worked.. Yay!!! 1/2/2024- Germination Day 8 Since the roots are not to the water yet, I am pouring one cup of water lightly on the hydroton around the lady to try and encourage root growth down to the water.. 1/3/2024- Germination Day 9 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. 1/4/2024- Germination Day 10 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. I will just continue to top feed until roots are in the water.. Shouldn't be more than a few more days. 1/5/2024- Germination Day 11 Ground Hogs day, will continue until roots hit the water. I am going to change the water Sunday and kick off Week 1, I will just continue to top feed until roots are in the water.. Now we are going to week four, the plants have started to really vegetate, I have seen rapid growth in cannabis and other plants before, however, this strain is growing very large at a tremendous pace. I am having no issues so far, I am doing very light training and I started using pH down, as the plants ingest the nutrients the pH is rapidly rising. I hope to preserve perfect pH within the next week and continue on. I have been adding a gallon of water every three days to keep the reservoir at the right level. The plants are receiving a constant PPM of 400. Not only am I seeing five-finger leaves but I am also seeing seven-finger leaves. The plants are looking very healthy and there are no issues at all so far. I have Started to train the plants and started mainlining, I have also slightly defoliated the plant. This Plant is overgrowing the free seed from seedsmen. ( in hindsight I have never gotten any good free seeds from seedsmen) Science: There are a few ideas in this grow journal that I am toying with. The first idea is putting low-voltage conduction through the roots of the plants, I strongly believe that stimulating the the roots with electricity will induce larger and stronger vegetation. The other idea is blasting the plants with low decibel sound waves. We will see. There is another idea I have with string LED lights. However, I'm going to keep some of my secret sauce to myself.

HARVEST@DAY84!!! Took way longer than i expected to finish but it was worth it i was going actually going to give it a couple more days to wait for some more brown trichomes but she started to get a few nanna's so i cut her down. i could not tell how chunky the buds really were underneath all of the leaves. thiccness from the main colas all the way down and alot of frost. Smells heavenly. chemical and gassiness. Will absolutely be growing the rest of the seeds i have next time around. She was more sensitive to the light and i topped her a little early are my only complaints. i didnt have a big enough scale so couldnt weigh her wet. will post dried weight. its a nice yeild for me being my first grow. she smells dank Super happy!!!!

All is great with my ladies this week the buds are fattening up nicely I got alot of bud sites and they are all developing beautifully the 2 plants that were approximately a week behind are also now fully flowering thankfully The extractors are working hard keeping the humidity low temps are around 28.5 lights on and humidity is 42 they are drinking more and they are getting the full recommended monkey nutrients and the Zues pro 600 is on 100% finally. Let's hope the ladies keep improving Stay blessed 💚

This was a great grow, learning new plants and genetics, Spliff seed is very solid and you can expect the same consistency each seed. I want to grow them all and see if they all fall into place with their signature work!

13 Jun 2021 Continuing to flush my DarkStar Kush probably for another week at least. If I were following my original plan, I would be cutting her down today and starting the harvest. However, the runoff is still colored (not as much as it was, but still), and the TDS runoff was higher today than yesterday by almost 200 ppm. I’ve added new pics for this new week to show how she’s changing colors later in her life. She’s begging to be harvested, but I want to smoke her and not her nutrients! I’ve already waited this long, what’s another week or so. 🤷‍♂️ Oh well. I gave her a gallon of water chilled to 49.2 degrees F, and gave her 20 drops of pH DOWN which adjusted the pH from its initial 8.2 to a final pH of 6.7. The TDS going in was 76 ppm. Runoff pH was 6.3, and TDS runoff was 1740 ppm (up from 1462 ppm yesterday). Tent temperature was 82 degrees F, and humidity was 42%. 14 Jun 2021 Continuing with the flush today. Feeding a gallon of 45.5 degree F water with nothing more than 22 drops (gtts) of pH DOWN to make it just right. Initial pH was 8.4, and adjusted down to 6.4. The TDS going in was 85 ppm. Runoff pH was also 6.4, and TDS runoff was 1377 ppm. Working in the right direction at least. TDS runoff yesterday was 1740 ppm, so a reduction of 363 ppm today, but still a ways to go. Tent temperature was 82 degrees F and humidity was 47%. She’s looking more and more ready for harvest each day! Uploaded some pics of her colorful foliage today along with some new trichome pics. They’re almost all cloudy/milky with some amber interspersed here and there. Come on flush!! Do your job! 😜 16 Jun 2021 Went out of town on a day trip yesterday, so no watering was done, but I’m back today to continue the flush. The tent temperature was 81 degrees F, and humidity was 43%. Thought I’d start off backwards today in my note from the norm. I gave a gallon of cold water (51 degrees F) with 20 drops of pH DOWN to adjust the initial pH of 8.2 to 6.5. The TDS going in was 83 ppm. Runoff pH was also 6.5, which to me is promising, and the TDS runoff was 814 ppm. That’s a decrease of 563 ppm since the last watering/flush on the 14th. Hopefully in just a couple of days I’ll be able to start the harvest because she is READY!! I took more trichome pics today which were marvelous! They are perfect (to my untrained and inexperienced eye)! Hopefully I’m just days away!! 17 Jun 2021 Continuing the flush another day. The TDS runoff is still decreasing a little bit every day. Today I’ll be uploading a video instead of a bunch of pics. I already have a lot for this week, so I figured I’d do something different. I’m still giving chilled, and properly pH’ed fresh water. Nothing else. So, today I gave a gallon of H2O chilled to 51F. The initial pH was 8.4, so I added 22 drops (1ml) of pH DOWN to adjust it to 6.4. The TDS going in was 85 ppm. Runoff pH was 6.5, and TDS was 758 ppm. There is a 56 ppm decrease from yesterday, and I was hoping for much more, but it is what it is. I’ll keep going till it is better till harvest. Looking at the plant, it’s losing several leaves that are just drying up and falling off. Not a lot, but about as much as should be expected at this stage. The plant, trichomes, and buds are ready for harvest, but I want to make sure that I get all the nutrients out before I do it. Thankfully, I’m a patient person! 19 Jun 2021 I’ve been doing the flush for 2 weeks now, and the TDS runoff is still measuring 647 ppm. Honestly, I don’t know what the level should be for the harvest, but I’m getting to the point where I just want to go ahead and do it. Her buds are looking awesome, and many of the sugar leaves have turned dark purple, but she’s losing a lot of her bigger leaves. None of the ones around any buds, so I’m not concerned with it that much. However, I don’t want the trichomes to get more amber. The vast majority are milky, which is what I’m looking for with only a smattering of amber here and there. She’s just right!! Anyway, I gave a gallon of water at 48.7F with an initial pH of 8.3. I added 21 drops (1ml) of pH DOWN to adjust it to 6.7. The TDS going in was 71 ppm. Runoff pH was also 6.7 (it has consistently been the same or just a decimal point off from that going in for the last week or so). The runoff TDS was 647 ppm as noted above. Tent temperature was 84F, and humidity was 48%.

Hola cultivadores. No había podido actualizar antes por problemas personales pero aquí estamos denuevo. La planta se agiganta poco a poco, ya, de aprecia una mayor cantidad de pelos. Se añadió Bud Candy para agilizar los azúcares y estos sean absorbidos por la planta. De igual manera se subió la dosis de Bio-Bloom y de Fish-Mix.

*ADVISE NEEDED* The day before yesterday I discovered a huge error in my system. I placed filter material in the feed-throughs of the breeding boxes. This is to prevent the roots from growing together over time. However, what I caused with that is very difficult to explain. The bottom line is that the distribution of food and circulation was actually not good at all. This also explained the differences in the water temperature, but also PH and EC values. That is now completely under control because it now runs stably for 2 days. However, you can see that the records have had a bad start. I am thinking about starting over. Week 3. Week 2 was looking for the correct settings for my system. I found out that the temperature in the bins is quite different. When I set the water chiller to 19 degrees, it all flows fine into the first container. There it rises about 0.5 degrees per bin. The margin of the chiller is about 1 degrees, causing too many fluctuations in the system, with tray 1 becoming too cold and the last one too cold. I solved this by shielding the box at the inlet of the tent with heat-protective foil. I also put a fan on the water chiller. If that catches on, the entire loft heats up, whith more fluctiations. However, I have enough space to measure very precisely and I am getting more and more control. I think the brown leaves were the cause of much too hot water. Since I have the water temperature under control, I see that the new leaves are growing nicely. Moreover, since yesterday (13-5) I received the nutrition. 10 days late. I just finish the root scheme I think. That is still 3 days a 70 mm per day combined with BioBizz Heaven. I tried to take some pictures of the roots and some close ups. I hold the lid with my left hand and with my right hand I try to take a picture zoomed in (max). While the wind makes the roots dance past my lens😵 Something different than usual ... Hope you like it. If you see something that needs to be addressed, let us know. It is my first breeding so there will undoubtedly go wrong. This week I also connected the water reservoir with which I can flush the entire system at once. With this I also control the Ph in the system. Will post photos soon.

I’ve almost reached the end of this journey. My caution has kept me one step behind, but it has paid off in terms of scent and aroma. I think the harvest window will open a bit later — probably at the end of next week. For now, I’m not seeing any amber trichomes. This first experience with RQS F1 genetics has been very positive so far. The plants have always been strong, vigorous, and full of life. Everything went smoothly. They stayed compact in size but were productive and very consistent in expressing their phenotype. Milky Way has also proven to be an excellent variety — it has developed trichomes that look like the bristles of a brush.

***UPDATE*** ITS CHOPPIN DAY!! Late in day 87 I was going for macros. Made the decision while seeing MANY yellow trichomes that Wedding Glue from FastBuds is DONE! Attaching pics to the beginning of the weeks uploads. She sure turned out pretty asf didn't she? Lights out occurs in like 30min, and I'm going to work through the dark period stripping the large fans off. Utilizing my green Christmas lights hung up above lol. May turn light on low for a quick pic before chopping/hanging. Next update will be harvest! 2 Girls 1 Cup week 12? Hopefully the finish is this week... My my my how WG has fattened up the last 2 weeks. Trying to get some good macros since it's too hard to hold the scope to my phone and focus everything. Probably better for the existing trics too since they're not being touched. Day 84- these trics are taking their sweet time to ripen. Was considering picking up some GHE Ripen to speed the process up.. especially because a local shop is closing and everything is 40% off. Let's keep it simple this run. I'll get some additives for the next grow to enhance GHE's perfected formulas of macro/micros in the Flora series. An update on the "sample" I clipped from WG the other day. It's not dried/cured proper. Actually been sitting in a brown bag with the outlet of the tent blowing on it lol. Can taste some vanilla in it through the chlorophyll and shit still in the flowers. VERY heady effect that hits me like a friggin wave. Creativity and energy uplifted for sure.
