I love these last stages! The girls are still stretching but I decided to give them a defoliation a week early. If you look back on last week you can see how bushy they have gotten so there was a definite need to get some light to the lower bud sites. I can definitely start to smell the familiar gassy aroma coming through now so may be time to get the fan and carbon filter cranked up. I will be top amending the soil again at some point this coming week but as for now I have just been feeding with water and liquid seaweed. I've had a few compliments from friends on the good health of the plants this time round compared to previous grows when the Sour Diesels had nutrient issues, not helped by the Coco medium I was using. I'll be sticking to this choice of soil and organic nutrients with the results I'm getting so far! I mean, look at those pistils!! 😁 I love that I've had 93 views on this diary so far! Beginning of week.. Both have some gorgeous flowers.. Purples are already coming out on both. Both are flooding with complex aromas.. ETHOS Cookies is doing great.. Mandarin Cookies is gonna make it to harvest, I'm sure.. So excited! Mid week.. I love how they both are giving off nice purples on the calyces already! Both smell so amazing! It makes me tear up with joy! Not sure when I should start flushing! ETHOS says that you count 9 weeks from flip to 12/12.. Not pistils forming.. Cuz you know, you need to factor in the transition time.. 1 - 2 weeks.. Sometimes 3! But I am super excited to harvest these lovely ladies!!! Next day... Ok.. So the runoff issue has gotten worse for the Mandarin Cookies.. Obviously, with all the def. you can see.. At least 3 that I can see right away.. Calcium.. Potassium.. Phosphorous.. Maybe even a slight Magnesium def. in there too.. Kinda hard to pinpoint when there is multiple showing, yet I am feeding PLENTY of all of them.. She should have no issues.. The runoff pH is now coming out at about 4.9 - 5.2, depending on a good or bad day, I guess.. I have just been puttinf it in at 6.3 every time.. Sometimes (alot now) I get a salt build-up between feedings.. I like to feed, water, feed, water.. Now I need to feed, water, water, feed, water, water... It's really bothering the shit outta me lol.. But the ETHOS Cookies is pretty close to peing on point.. Going in: 6.3 pH.. Runoff: 5.8 - 5.7.. Still in a decent range.. No signs of issues on any leaves.. They are both making some gorgeous nugs tho! Stackin calyces and trichomes lile crazy! And now they are really fattening up! I am so ready for this run to be over and let this medium dry out reeeeally good.. And take it out back Ol' Yeller style.. Yup.. That sounds like a plan.. I have PLENTY of NEW coco coir bricks and perlite that I have been hoarding.. Just like I do with my genetics 😄.. But I feel like you can never have enough.. And I plan on growing cannabis in coco coir till someone takes me out back Ol' Yeller style! End of week.. They are both showing about 50% turned pistils.. The ETHOS Cookies is a little further along.. Not by much.. But the trichomes on the Mandarin Cookies seem a little further along.. Word.. They are both going to be epic smokes for sure! So I believe I will just give both of them small feedings just to get them through the week, then I should be good to start flushing.. On to the next week!...

The F.S is the densest plant I have ever grown leafs are bigger than hands. HASNT pre flowered yet. Site is slow so i stop typing

All good :) very frosty and smells so good. She‘s so happy. At day 35 end of week 4 approaching week 5, i flush her to remove salt buildups since i didn’t had runoff the entire grow ever. She has crazy 2.6EC run off the ph is on the spot though. So lets see how will she react after heavy flush with runoff 1.6EC by week 5. i am now lowering my nuts half of the manufacturers recommendation.

*****Week 17 growth – March 27 to Apr 2, 2021 – Week 8 flower ****** We are in the first full week of flush now. Color change time and more swelling😃👍 GDP x GSC should have some purple in her......there certainly is in both. I have missed CL1 though, due to my actions. Pushing the nutes and lights is showing signs this week and both are fox tailing now. CL2 is holding it together though better than CL1........she said F you and shot her tips way up. Tails coming up the side of the bud as well, not excessive but they are prominent. They feel dense, yeah I squished a couple😏, so they should still have a good finish. CL2 is the looker right now and will have more dense buds I suspect but CL1 is showing that she can make some chunky LARGE buds if given what she wants.......without excess🙂 Frost levels on both girls is very high and looking sparkly😎 Aromas have been coming out more now and I pick up sweet and kind of floral......F I don’t know fully on these ones right now but it’s freaking good......smells like good weed!!! Running these both again I think. I was going to let CL1 go but color isn’t everything....CL1 should have fatter buds and I think she deserves another chance👍 CL2 is a given she will be run another time as well🔥❄️ 🔥❄️🔥❄️🔥 The girls are drinking well with being watered almost everyday. Moving into the phase of letting the pots dry right out before adding more water to ensure they are finishing all the nutrients in the media. Again, really just keeping them watered when they want it and taking pictures at this point😎 Little more detail….. Mar 27/21, Day 50 - 4L plain water at 6.0pH - Mar 28/21, Day 51 - 4L watering today with RO water. - 30ppm and 6.1pH Mar 29/21, Day 52 - cold in the tent today so turned the heater back on to brin up to 77 degrees. It was holding at 74, a little low. - nothing watered. Mar 30/21, Day 53 - 4L watering with tap water at 5.8pH - Mar 31/21, Day 54 - watered late in the day with only 3L of RO water - 25ppm and 6.1 pH Apr 1/21, Day 55 - dry out day Apr 2/21, Day 56 - light power reduced again and down to 300 watts. - plain water with tap. - 3L each 280ppm and 6.1pH Through week 8 and going into 9 now. Still some nutrient to keep working on in the leaves......give them a little more time💪

Another cold wet week. Witnessed the spiderlings band together for a few days, web making at night. Then one day the wind picked up and they all disbanded, stretched out their silk and flew away all over my yard. It was such an incredible experience to watch! I should have an army of Orb weavers come flower time. Did another top dress of compost mixed with 70/30 Gaia Green AP/PB, maybe 20Tbsp. When I pulled back the mulch I got to see all the soil creatures and roots consuming the material, this really does help build extra root zone over time. Minor defoliating, I'm keeping nodes 1, removing 2 and final top at 3 (next week) to keep her spaced, then let her stretch and trellis. Should all help fill in the canopy.
