Im experimenting a little with this grow. The plants at the front of the grow have been completely deleafed of all fan leaves not attached to bud sites. I did this about a week ago. The remaining plants will be left to the normal pruning.

Greetings, fellow growers! Week 5 has brought us to a pivotal moment in our Anesia pheno hunt journey as we embark on the transformative process of topping our thriving beauties. Let's delve into the world of topping and explore the magic behind this essential technique. Topping is a fundamental aspect of plant training, involving the removal of the apical meristem, or main growth tip, to encourage lateral growth and bushier plant development. By snipping away the topmost growth, we redirect the plant's energy towards the lower branches, stimulating new growth and increasing overall yield potential. It's like giving our plants a strategic haircut, with the promise of fuller, more abundant foliage in return. But topping isn't just about increasing yield – it's also about promoting a more balanced and uniform canopy, ensuring that light penetration is maximized and no precious photons go to waste. With each well-placed snip, we're sculpting our plants into lush green masterpieces, ready to flourish under the glow of our Future of Grow LED lights. Speaking of lights, maintaining optimal environmental conditions is key to our plants' success. That's why we've raised our TDS to 420 and adjusted our pH to a precise 5.8 using our trusty Blue Lab Guardian monitor. This advanced monitoring system allows us to keep a close eye on nutrient levels and pH fluctuations, ensuring that our plants receive the perfect balance of nutrients for optimal growth and health. It's like having a guardian angel watching over our garden, guiding us towards horticultural excellence. And let's not forget the satisfying sight of water droplets glistening on freshly topped plants. These tiny droplets are more than just a visual treat – they serve as a gentle reminder of our care and attention to detail, ensuring that our plants receive the hydration they need to recover and thrive. It's a moment of zen in the midst of our bustling garden, a testament to the beauty of nature and the joys of cultivation. With each passing week, our Anesia pheno hunt grows more exciting, and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Stay tuned for more updates, more growth, and more green goodness as we continue to cultivate joy and growth together in our Green Oasis! I had alot of Fun with this Grow, and a lot of Growers, had a Story about the Strawaberry Cough. Thank you all for sharing that with me!!! I learned alot about the heritage of this Strain and its appearing in Movies and Music. Mr. Kushman itself had a great Story about Strawberry Cough, and how he got them as a Present But back to the Grow fast Germinating, Germiating Rate 100 Percent, fast grower, and then the Journey began...... One Pheno turned out with Cottoncandylike Buds , The other Pheno with Fistsized Dense Buds Booth showed a wonderful Scent, and they were a Pleasure to look One Plant is still growing Thank you @Miister_lee , for the opportunity to grow them And LEGALIZE WORLDWIDE

Sensi seeds Jack herer 7 Weeks of flowering completed 31st March 2020 Mission Jack herer is getting closer and closer to completion with every day that passes. Luckily there has been no more mold on any of the buds and maybe that is because I have drastically changed my watering schedule to only once a week this is to keep the moisture at a mininum so that mold isn't likely to grow. The one feed I do give her is a 10 litre mix of water containing Ozi tonic @10mls Litre , because the weather has been quite wet and much cooler she doesnt seem to be needing any extra watering anyway which is a bonus. Other than that I don't have anything else to report this week Take care everybody and thanks for reading my diary update . šŸ‘

Started giving the girls 1 hour a night at sub 60. By end of week it's up to 2 but will not exceed this. Added top dressings of azomite, sea kelp and greensand. Phi=1.618 The ratio or proportion, determined by Phi (1.618 …) was known to the Greeks as the ā€œdividing a line in the extreme and mean ratioā€ and to Renaissance artists as the ā€œDivine Proportionā€ It is also called the Golden Section, Golden Ratio and the Golden Mean. e = 2.718 The ā€œeā€ symbol in maths represents Euler’s number which is approximately equal to 2.718 It is considered as one of the most important numbers in mathematics. It is an irrational number and it cannot be represented as a simple fraction. THORIUM Thorium, at atomic number 90, is one of the rarest elements. 232Th is a primordial nuclide, having existed in its current form for over ten billion years; it was formed during the r-process, which probably occurs in supernovae and neutron star mergers. These violent events scattered it across the galaxy. The letter "r" stands for "rapid neutron capture", and occurs in core-collapse supernovae, where heavy seed nuclei such as 56Fe rapidly capture neutrons, running up against the neutron drip line, as neutrons are captured much faster than the resulting nuclides can beta decay back toward stability. Neutron capture is the only way for stars to synthesize elements beyond iron because of the increased Coulomb barriers that make interactions between charged particles difficult at high atomic numbers and the fact that fusion beyond 56Fe is endothermic. Because of the abrupt loss of stability past 209Bi, the r-process is the only process of stellar nucleosynthesis that can create thorium and uranium; all other processes are too slow and the intermediate nuclei alpha decay before they capture enough neutrons to reach these elements. Histogram of estimated abundances of the 83 primordial elements in the Solar system Estimated abundances of the 83 primordial elements in the Solar system, plotted on a logarithmic scale. Thorium, at atomic number 90, is one of the rarest elements. In the universe, thorium is among the rarest of the primordial elements, because it is one of the two elements that can be produced only in the r-process (the other being uranium). POTASSIUM Potassium 40 is a radioisotope that can be found in trace amounts in natural potassium, is at the origin of more than half of the human body activity: undergoing between 4 and 5,000 decays every second for an 80kg man. Along with uranium and thorium, potassium contributes to the natural radioactivity of rocks and hence to the Earth heat. This isotope makes up one ten-thousandth of the potassium found naturally. In terms of atomic weight, it is located between two more stable and far more abundant isotopes (potassium 39 and potassium 41) that make up 93.25% and 6.73% of the Earth total potassium supply respectively. With a half-life of 1,251 billion years, potassium 40 existed in the remnants of dead stars whose agglomeration has led to the Solar System with its planets. Potassium 40 has the unusual property of decaying into two different nuclei: in 89% of cases beta-negative decay will lead to calcium 40, while 11% of the time argon 40 will be formed by electron capture followed by gamma emission at an energy of 1.46 MeV. This 1.46 MeV gamma ray is important, as it allows us to identify when potassium 40 decays. The beta electrons leading to calcium, however, are not accompanied by gamma rays, have no characteristic energies and rarely make it out of the rocks or bodies that contain potassium 40. Beta-minus decay indicates a nucleus with too many neutrons, electron capture a nucleus with too many protons. How can potassium 40 simultaneously have too many of both? The answer reveals one of the peculiarities of the nuclear forces. Everyone has roughly 140g of potassium = 0.016 grams of Potassium 40 = 5.643ounces The charge radius is a fundamental property of the atomic nucleus. Although it globally scales with the nuclear mass as A1/3, the nuclear charge radius also exhibits appreciable isotopic variations that are the result of complex interactions between protons and neutrons. Indeed, charge radii reflect various nuclear structure phenomena such as halo structures6, shape staggering7, shape coexistence8, pairing correlations9,10, neutron skins11, and the occurrence of nuclear magic numbers5,12,13. The term ā€˜magic number’ refers to the number of protons or neutrons corresponding to completely filled shells. In charge radii, a shell closure is observed as a sudden increase in the charge radius of the isotope just beyond magic shell closure, as seen, for example, at the well-known magic numbers N = 28, 50, 82 and 126 (refs. 5,12–14). In the nuclear mass region near potassium, the isotopes with proton number Z ā‰ˆ 20 and neutron number N = 32 are proposed to be magic on the basis of an observed sudden decrease in their binding energy beyond N = 32 (refs. 2,3) and the high excitation energy of the first excited state in 52Ca (ref. 1). Therefore, the experimentally observed a strong increase in the charge radii of calcium4 and potassium5 isotopes between N = 28 and N = 32, and in particular the large radius of 51K and 52Ca (both having 32 neutrons), have attracted substantial attention. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41567-020-01136-5.pdf ā€œA cat has 9 livesā€ ā€œOn cloud 9ā€ ā€œDressed to the ninesā€ To go ā€œthe whole nine yardsā€ ā€œA stitch in time saves nineā€ ā€œNine-nessā€ seems to be synonymous with the maximum, with the furthest extent of what’s possible. With fullness, completion, and when every effort has been exhausted. In the ancient world (which is, let’s face it, is where numbers and their spiritual power were understood SO much more than they are today) the number 9 resonated with sacred structure, and the furthest limitations of this world, before human experience meets the Divine. Perhaps more than any other, the number nine had an extra special significance, which spread far and wide. It features across pretty much all cultures, worldwide, rippling through culture, mythology, history, law and time. Nine is the central number in the ancient Celtic tradition. Nine expresses through the triple Goddess (see Number 3) and in myths of the nine Celtic maidens, or sorceresses. In fact, stories of nine mystical women presiding over nature spread from England, Ireland and Wales, to Scandinavia, Iceland and even as far as Kenya. Even today, it’s tradition for nine groups of nine men to dance around Beltane fires. The limit of winter (which is what Beltane Almost all of the mythological tales from around the world have patterns of the number 9 weaving throughout. The Northern European sagas tell of Odin, who rules over the nine Norse worlds. His trial, to win the secrets of wisdom for mankind, was to hang on the Yggdrasil tree for nine days. Demeter, the Greek Goddess of the Earth searched for nine days for her daughter Persephone (who was in the underworld with Hades). Demeter is often depicted holding nine pieces of corn. Once recovered, Persephone was obliged to spend three months per year below the ground, and nine months above. Native American, Mayan and Aztec myths tell of a total of nine cosmic levels (and many of the temples comprise 9 stories). And in ancient China, nine was the most auspicious number of divine power: the Chinese had nine sacred rites, nine social laws, nine classes of officials in the government and built nine-story pagodas. In astrology, the planet Mars vibrates to the frequency of the nine. The ninth sign of the Zodiac is Sagittarius (where the Sun sails from November 22nd – December 21st) In Tarot, card number nine is the Hermit. In Hinduism, nine is the number of Brahma. In the Greek Sagas, the city of Troy was under siege for nine years.

Thank you to all that have helped me along this journey. All of the answers, tips, comments, likes, and other diaries have been so very motivating to me. I originally started this diary only for my own reference but I'm so pleased to have learned that others have found it helpful or interesting, for whatever reason. If you're curious about equipment see the germination page and if you have questions feel free to drop me a line. So, without further ado: Jan 19 Day 105 Harvest day! šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰ Not really knowing how to tackle the situation, I started by cutting all of the fan leaves I was able to reach. Then, I cut each branch working from the perimeter inward - which due to the way she grew, was essentially the same as working from the bottom branches of the meristem to the top. Each branch was cut, cleaned, and handled individually before moving on to the next. Decided to wet-trim most of the branches, leaving 4 fairly untouched (only fan leaves were removed). Will be interested to see the differences, if any. They're all drying/hanging near the grow tent ~45%RH, 72F (22C). It isn't completely dark though, as some light is escaping the tent into the closet where they are hanging. I'm hoping this isn't terrible but I'll be keeping my eye on them. The process took the better part of an evening but I was cautiously learning, taking breaks, and generally being fairly slow. I'm sure I'll be faster and more confident next time. Jan 27 Day 113 Drying is complete, I think. Branches were hung and dried for 8 days in a consistent 68F (20C) 40% RH. They were determined to be dried after hearing a snap when bending (not breaking) large stems and buds felt dry to touch. Sugar leaves bordering on crispy while buds still had some give / fluffiness. The flowers from previously manicured branches were relatively easily plucked. However, the dry trimming process for the unmanicured branches proved to be a bit of a pain. They have been placed in a pyrex container to cure. I'm hoping flavors and aromas that are currently lacking will develop in time. šŸ¤ž --- Stats --- Veg time: ~45 days. Flowering time: ~60 days. Height ~18in., ~46cm. Main Bud Length: ~9in., 23cm. Harvested 16 Hangable branches and a few extra medium/small buds. Bud Wet Weight, with stems: 242g, ~8.5oz. Larf/Popcorn Sugar-leaf Wet Weight (not counted above): 18g, ~0.6oz. Leaf/Waste Wet Weight: 38g, ~1.3oz. Drying time: 8 days. Dried Weight with Stems: 70g, ~2oz. Trimmed and Dried Total Bud Weight: 50g, ~1.75oz. --- Thoughts in hindsight --- Firstly, I can't believe I haven't tried growing sooner. So rewarding in so many ways! My initial hope was to harvest an oz., so I am obviously quite happy we could surpass that mark by a good margin. This is a testament to the plant more than me of course, as I was completely inexperienced and was purposefully as hands-off as I could be comfortable with throughout her growth. I can only imagine things will improve with time. Paper-towel germination seems to be prone to more stress for myself and arguably the seedling as well. Floating in 1% H2O2 solution seems to be ideal for me. I made bad soil choices. This mixture seemed to be too dense, leading to some watering/strangulation issues mid-growth. My 2nd grow consisting of mostly coco coir seems healthier and seems easier to maintain proper hydration. Coco might also be reusable while this soil definitely seems spent now. I didn't respect pH at first and initial testing was eye-opening. That said, after simply testing water and fertilizer readings a few times, I gradually felt more comfortable with guestimating during most feedings, only testing sporadically later in her life cycle. This seemed to be fine and was a bit of a relief after early testing proved tedious every feed. I've been happy with Better-Gro orchid fertilizer. This is of course contrary to most advice, which I admit is probably for good reason. That said though, I didn't notice any major toxicities or deficiencies during her grow. So, these products seem to have worked for me and are so much more affordable than cannabis-specific fertilizers. I was quite weary about not having cal-mag, but this never seemed to be an issue in this particular case. However, I'll be keeping a similar eye on my 2nd grow in coco, which I understand may need it. Training and pruning is important. This plant was quite bushy and wild likely resulting in quite a bit of unnecessary larf/popcorn. Not to mention the additional time needed to trim when harvesting. Also regarding training, pipe cleaners can leave noticeable cuts in the stem they hold. Thickly coated flexible garden wire would likely be ideal. I need to get a loupe or magnifying attachment for the phone. Digital zoom with shaky hands is not great for checking trichomes and my 3x magnifying glass just doesn't cut it. I cannot speak toward potency or yield without more experience, but simply for the sake of a greener hue, I think I could've harvested her a week earlier. Because I left a few branches untended during dry, I was able to experience both the wet and dry trimming processes. Unless keeping leaves for extra humidity during drying, I seem to prefer wet trimming as the still supple leaves were easier to remove with less bud handling. I'll add more thoughts if/when they come. Thank you again for stopping by! šŸ‘‹

I'm very happy with the outcome, outdoors this time around. It's my largest plant to date and it smokes great! I randomly gave this strain a try as it's packed with great genetics and it did not disappoint. It grew large considering the time it had to grow. It was constrained by a medium amount of sun light per day (4-6hrs) and it's pot size (40L) the roots were tightly packed I used bio fertilizers Bio buzz grow Peruvian seabird guano and organic potassium for veg Biobizz bloom top max compost teas in flower It smokes and taste great already. I chopped Oct 1st Thanks for tuning in!

|»» LOG DISCLAIMER: Not intended as a grow guide. Grow log entries are usually posted 3 weeks later and are for my learning reference. ««| Introduction - Week 18 Summary - Ensign's log, stardate 17559.9, Another pretty epic week in the garden! Growth has been healthy and wow the canopy is getting stacked for the beginning of flower. Heady OG managed to reach the grow light so super-cropped the canopy once more. Also lollipopped and defoliated the under canopy. Cleaned the best I could, but can’t reach TKO (in the back of the tent) so mainly cleaned Heady OG. Both are still recovering which could mean growth is starting to prioritize bud development over vegetative growth. Bud sites are already starting to swell up nicely! The veg tent has been thriving and growth has been all around healthy! Watered the spare Heady OG clone and transplanted the rooted mother cuttings into solo cups. Onwards to next week Ensign! But what about outdoor growing? --- As far as how I determine flowering, --- My personal logic and opinion is that nature does not change immediately. So I usually don’t count the beginning stretch phase as part of flowering. If anything, I think of it as the end of veg. --- The stretch phase usually lasts between 14-21 days. As far as day one of flower development, this is different with every pheno. --- Anyways! --- Plan to clean the main tent tonight. While still in early flower, the under canopy needs to be defoliated. - [19:05]: Checked on the 4x4 tent. --- Wow the tent is raging with growth! --- Both Heady OG and TKO are swelling up with bud growth! --- Okay! A week further and have started the flowering. I write this a couple of days later, with now more knowlegde about revegging and can conclude I started too flower too early. Especially the big plant, which was still not completely revegged. On the upside, I got to learn lots about revegging, also to know that it might take weeks for the plants to make the switch again and produce buds :(, should have waited few more weeks for revegging done. So wet on with defoliating, the left plant on the pictures I still have to do and trained budsites more sideways and some leaftucking, strategic defoliage on top. We shall see. The plants are not happy and im going to feed them some Biobizz Alg-A-Mic to help them destress and ease the suffering, thankfully @styliaga gave me some. I will do another update after coming feed and recovery. As a tip if you ever go re-veg a plant: let them finish the process. I can see the monster growth of lots of micro budsites developping in the canopy. Hopefully with enough time they will develop into a sea of chunky danky goodness. The lights I put a little higher, for saey, while Im adjusting the dimmer to full, to let them acclimatise to the full light. No light points yet after two days, not even the leafs curling up like in the beginning. Some things go well...
