Both phenotypes reached maturity beautifully, wrapped in dense, resin-coated buds that carry the unmistakable aroma of sweetness and spice. 🌱 From Seed to Harvest — A Journey in Full Bloom Our Lava Cake journey began from seed with two unique phenotypes, both full of potential and personality. Week after week, through careful nutrition, TrolMaster monitoring, and endless observation, we watched them evolve. From the early stages of vegetative vigor, through the lush canopy of mid-flower, and even through the challenges of heat and bud rot, these girls showed true resilience. Each setback taught something — about balance, airflow, humility, and the living rhythm of nature. Both plants were ultimately harvested with respect and gratitude. ⸻ ✂️ Harvest & Trimming After about two weeks of slow drying at 60°F / 60% RH, the branches began to snap — a sure sign the moisture was just right. Each plant was trimmed by hand, carefully and patiently, letting every calyx, pistil, and trichome tell its own story. The buds were dense, sticky, and heavily frosted — a trimmer’s delight. Finger hash collected along the way was pure gold, rich in aroma and bursting with terpenes. Each snip of the scissors felt like sculpting something sacred. Both plants were dried whole, allowing for slower moisture migration and a smoother final cure. ⸻ 🌿 On Trichomes and Harvest Timing We chose to harvest when most trichomes were cloudy, with only a few still clear and very few amber. This moment — just before full amber maturity — is where potency meets flavor at its peak. Why cloudy trichomes? Because that’s when cannabinoids like THC and terpenes are at their maximum activity. Too early, and you lose potency; too late, and THC starts converting into CBN, giving a heavier, sleepier effect. Cloudy trichomes deliver a balanced high — euphoric yet grounding — capturing the essence of the strain in its full potential. ⸻ 🌸 Aroma, Taste & Effects The Lava Cake lives up to her name and lineage. Ok folks, gunna be one armed for another 6 weeks so I'm just the conductor the true heroes will go unseen. Everything is alive atleast, had a scare yesterday as things got so dried out everything went limp but an hour after feed turned back around. Noticed some yellowing and other coloring coming thru on alot of leaves so I bumped ppm up a little bit this last feed. They dont look like they have a deficiency, it's weird, they look beautiful but with a premature fade almost. I really like Green Buzz' line up/regiment I just have to dial it in which isnt easy since it's a multi strain crop and various size plants. It's very easy to use and makes me feel good knowing it's not poison. Did a minor leaf strip around the tent just to make things fit better. I'll copy and paste this to the diaries for the rest of the crop per usual but go into a little more detail on each plant individually. Pics and vids were taken on day 28 of flower. I'm trying to keep up with these as best I can from start to finish, the flip date was 6.10.19, today is 7.9.19. Not much to report on these ones, they are growing pretty straight forward and doing very well. They have a great bud structure and #2 looks like it might have some fatties. Cant pick up the scent yet but the frost is comin. My girl took all the pics, I took the vids and she took pics of me takin the vids and it gives a better indication of the size of the plants/tent. I'm 6'1 165 soakin wet for reference

Hello. This is the end of week 4 and the beginning of week 5 of veg. They have got over their repotting shock and are taking off. Getting some good sized leaves coming out now. Hoping to get them out in the greenhouse by the end of the month, but it's too cold out there overnight. I've been using essential oils for a few weeks now, and I'm liking it. I had a recurring spider mite thing going for the last few months. In my cloning box, I would find a small patch of them and I would buy good bugs to combat pest bugs. But they keep coming back. I was just trying to keep my medical grow clean. No insecticides no pesticides no fungicides no herbicides. And I would buy more bugs. I saw it as never ending... So I was looking into something different to combat the pest with. The site I got those pages from seems to be gone. But I was look up essential oils to see what other sites said about them. Like I said, I'm liking it. I feel like I've got a sense of control back over the pests and don't mind the smell either, and the plants seem to don't mind it. There no awful smell or messy greasy feeling I find after I've sprayed insecticidal soap, and the essential oils aren't poisonous either. I can put a drop in my mouth with no effect. It evaporates off the leaves in a few days and it's pleasant to use There's some for pests and others for mold and fungus. I find 8 to 10 drops is enough unless you've got an infestation. Anyway... Like I said... I feel like I've got my sense of control back... Feels Good.... Look into it.. Give it a try...! I'll be using it in my garden this year. I was in contact with UKHTA Seeds last week and they said they don't mind if I give away my contest winnings of a 50% off code. Trimmed out some, flushed and replenished the nutrients- looking at 3/4 more weeks until it’s done I think! Plant seems very healthy- and dense! I can see needing proper airflow in harvest will be important. Any insight on Hindu mints/kush afghani strains hit me up!

So heute wird geerntet, nach knapp 10 Wochen geht ein wunderbarer Grow zu Ende. Ich stelle die Kleine erstmal für 72 std abgedunkelt ins Zelt. Danach werde ich sie von überflüssigen Blätter befreien, die Sugarleafs werden separat entfernt, da sie eingefroren werden fürs Bubblehash. Daraufhin werde ich diesmal die Pink Rozay nur unten kappen und als Ganzes ins Zelt hängen, ansonsten hatte ich im ein trockennetz benutzt. Updates folgen :) Happy Growing und euch allen alles gut und viel Glück bei euren Projekten Harvest Update Nach knapp 8 Tagen war sie soweit, die Pink Zozay Auto war endlich trocken und bereit für die Terplock Bags, ich hab alle Buds von den Stielen getrennt und die Spitzen der Sugar Leafs beschnitten und die letzten größeren Blätter enfernt. Sie riecht ziemlich streng nach Orange, einfach lecker und hat ein dry Gewicht von 76 Gramm So jetzt erstmal für mindestens ne Woche fermentieren und dann kommt das schönste, der Smoke Bericht :) Lets Go

Tak tento týden opravdu šílený vedra kytičky se tam dusily v 30 stupních někdy i 32 no ale alespoň vlhkost vzduchu klesla. Už mám na cestě CO2 pytlík, ten tomu snad trochu pomůže . Pravá je nějak opožděná a podložil jsem jí aby se trochu vyrovnala výška i když ten jeden vršek má abnormálně vysoký, no počítám s tím že budu muset ventilátor a světlo trochu přemístit takže ventilátor dám na box na otvor zvenčí jako komín a světlo přidělám až ke stropu boxu čímž získám dalších cca 15 cm. Chlastaj teda denně už skoro 3 l zálivky. Jinak se holkám pěkně daří jen sem tam teda u spodku uschnul nějaký list který jsem teda odtrhnul nebo odpad sám ale to je zřejmě tím jak mám teď nastavený odtah na poměrně silný prúvan a dost rychle to protahuje tím boxem vzduch.

31.03. D31 Settling into the system. The plants are now fully established in the Autopot setup, which has been activated. Growth is starting to accelerate as the roots take advantage of the constant water supply. All tops have been taken, and structure is beginning to form. Some leaves showed slight signs of low humidity stress over the past days (around 30–35%), affecting transpiration and leading to a more compact growth pattern. Humidity has now been stabilized at ~55%, and the plants are already responding positively. A close eye is being kept on potential thrips activity — if confirmed, biological control (nematodes) will be applied early. Overall, everything is on track. Control the environment. The plants will follow 04.04. D35 Everything on track. The plants are responding well and overall development is strong and consistent. Today’s work focused on opening up the structure: LST applied to spread the canopy and improve light penetration, along with light defoliation to clean up inner growth. No complications so far. Healthy growth. Good response to training. From here on, it’s all about shaping an even canopy and guiding the structure. Steady progress.

Day 96, 15th of December 2020: Hi! A bit late I was on holiday I usually start the week with the first day but now with the last one. Similar to my Runtz Gum (same breeder Original Sensible Seeds).... Amazing strong appearance middle streching nice buds.... Looking like a scarecrow... Nice quality I am totally satisfied no issue now in the end some brown points apleared on the fan leaves which is totally normal aprt from that she is so healthy. She could be cut now but need to wait till I get back from my Christmas holiday again... By the way I am going on holiday again and back on 28th of December so after harvest starts The 7th weeks starts with tomorrow 16th of December.... Only flushing and no more nutritient will be used. Soon full report comes. Lamp is the same 11 hours on and 13 off.... The last 4 days she will get 4 days darkness and only ventilation will be working no even more water ;)

Día 36. Al final me pude desahcer de la plaga de mosquitas. Usé Phitonat plus foliar y puse BTI en el depósito. Fue casi instantáneo con ambas cosas. Las plantas estan empezando a engordar bastante. Se las vé muy bien. Las de variedad Polaris están haciendo cogollos densos y grandes. Mientras que las Tropicana estan con flores pequeñas más distribuidas en la rama. Creo que la Polaris va a dar la sorpresa. La semana pasada decidí no usar EMRO y cuando cambié el depósito, había bastantes restos de raices que van cayendo. Así que volví a poner, pars convertir esas raices en azucar para las plantas. Cada cez falta menos y tengo incertidumbre sobre lo que va a pasar. La Polaris tiene una floración levemente más corta en teoría. Así que es probable que las Tropicana se coman 2 semanas de lavado de raíces cuando toque.

@FAST_BUDS, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. I’ve been flushing the plants for a week now. The colas have definitely gotten fatter from last week. It’s looking like I’ll be harvesting in 1 more week. Pretty much all the trichomes are milky and I’m starting to get amber ones.
