I decided this week to start adding nutrients at a very low dose at 1/8th of the recommended dose. I'm quite happy with how growth is progressing so far. There is a slight deformation in one of the first leaves but i'm not worried about it at this stage.

It’s week 5 of flowering, and things are looking fantastic! The adjusted nutrients for the coco substrate have clearly made a difference, as both plants are thriving and continue to develop thick layers of trichomes. ✨ Interestingly, the non-LST plant is starting to show some unique color variations, which is surprising given that both are from the same strain. This unexpected twist adds a bit of excitement, and I’m curious to see how it will develop over the next few weeks. When it comes to scent, the differences are striking! The LST variant has a bold and distinct Lemon Haze aroma—zesty and citrusy 🍋💨 while the non-LST plant gives off a fruity-sweet smell that’s incredibly rich and inviting. 🍓🍭 Unfortunately, my camera broke this week, and now I’m dealing with some low-quality pictures. 📷😔 While it’s frustrating not to capture the plants in their full glory, I’ll do my best to document their progress as clearly as possible. Overall, both plants are doing great, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they turn out in the final stretch! 💚

Hello GD Crew!!! I’m glad to finally be back with a new diary. A LOT has happened since my last diary. The large room I was using back then got infested with spider mites. For a while I thought I had them beat, but they came back with a vengeance. So I thoroughly cleaned my 2x4 tent and set it up in the opposite side of the house. However, that part of the house is also now my new man cave and was under construction until a few months ago (its still not completely done yet, but close enough). I have also switched back to LED lighting. I’m using a pair of Spider Farmer SF1000’s (100w) LED’s. I was using a 315w CMH fixture but felt I was getting better results with my old blurple ViparSpectra’s (both of which have died). Also, it was getting too hot in the tent with the CMH. To be completely honest the best weed I’ve ever grown was using a 1000w HPS, but that could possible melt a 2x4 tent and I’d be tripping circuit breakers all the time again. After a lot of research it looked like the Spider Farmer SF1000’s were the best bang for the buck in the LED market these days. They have the right components (Samsung LM301B diodes and MeanWell drivers) and have great specs. I was able to purchase them on Amazon Prime Day for $129/each (USD). For soil I’m using Coast of Main Stonington Blend Grower’s Mix. I had been previously trying to amend and reuse old soil or mix old soil 50/50 with new soil and in retrospect that was a mistake. The PH was totally unpredictable as were what nutrients were available or deficient. I felt like I was always trying to fix soil problems and one thing would lead to another. So, from now on its fresh soil in every pot. I’m using 3 gallon pots with self watering reservoirs at the bottom. In addition to the Coast of Main Stonington Blend I’m also using Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. I filled the 3 gallon pots with the Coast of Main Stonington Blend first, then dig out a hole in the middle about the size of a grapefruit and filled that hole with the Sungro Black Gold Seedling Mix. Then I planted the seeds about knuckle deep in the middle of the Seedling Mix. This seemed to work great, both pots had small seedlings appear in 5 days. This diary will focus primarily on FastBuds BlackBerry, but I am also growing a DinaFem Critical+ Auto at the same time. I’ve grown both of these strains a few times in the past with mixed results. But, I’m hoping this grow will be far greater than those in the past. My plan is to allow the Coast of Main Stonington Blend act as the ‘super soil’ it is supposed to be and not add any additional nutrients. I will however be adding RealGrowers Recharge on a regular basis (I love that stuff, it really makes a difference) and will probably also add some CalMag once in a while. But that’s all. Additionally, I do not plan on doing much training with these girls. I will LST bend them over at a 45 degree angle around the time they hit their flowering stretch, but that’s all. Bending at a 45 degree angle gives better exposure to lower branches and allows those lower branches to produce larger tops. Hoping for the best!!! Please feel free to comment and follow. I kept tucking those branches pretty hard and mad a decent canopy. Though I may have over done It and now my forest is pretty bush. Day 10 of flower, Im gonna defoliate and maybe lollipop a bit in the next few days and then add next layer of trellis to use as support. Started adding Canna Boost. Other than that, I fixed my calmag issue by switching to tap water, but Im not feeding nutrients at full strength since I have pretty hard tap water.

Beginning of week.. Forgot to update end of last week.. but here she is!... So this week she should still be stretching and (hopefully) the slowdown should be the following week.. she is doing good.. water, feed, water, feed, etc. But not daily.. I do water, feed, skip, water, feed, skip, etc. I do that so the day after feeding 1 gal., she gets a day to dry out. Then I water 1.25 gal. to help rinse salts and build-up.. then feed the next day again.. so she isnt left too long without a feeding.. but I'm sure things would be fine if I watered/fed daily.. just a bit of a hassle for me now.. collecting rainwater and cutting it with 25% crappy tap water works great.. but a hassle lol.. she is happy and so am I! You can see in the pics that the stiples are turning purple are red.. just the stiples.. not the leaves.. not the pistils.. also noticed that on my last run with ETHOS Cookies and Mandarin Cookies.. pretty.. hopefully she will be very colorful! Almost mid week.. Wow.. literally no trichomes yesterday but this morning they are damn near on every bud site! Wow.. rubbing trichomes and sniffing gives me such joy and a hint of what to expect at harvest.. very sweet so far.. yessss! So excited! Mid week... Stretching quite a bit but she shouldn't get too much out of control. Running the WAKYME J-2000 at roughly 60% power and 12" - 14" above the canopy. She is receiving 1000 micromols at the center and about 550/600 micromols around the edges and corners are getting about 500 - 550 micromols.. entire plant is getting GREAT PAR! She is stretching so much that every 2 - 3 days, I need raise the light quite a bit.. I'd say she is stretching about 4 - 6 inches every 2 - 3 days. Fucking incredible, in my opinion. rubbing the trichomes.. aw man.. rubbing those GORGEOUS trichomes and getting a wiff of what she should be producing in the very near future is just mind blowing how complex and strong ETHOS terpenes are (at least the 3 that I have grown out). I couldn't be any happier with this strain.. or any ETHOS strain! ETHOS Genetics is easily in the top 5 of cannabis breeders, if not number 1.. I've got the OG Kush Autoflower waiting to be germinated soon.. can't wait to see what that girl can do, as well. It will be my first autoflower from ETHOS.. pics of her look EPIC AS FUCK!.. Anyways.. I'm just abusing my keyboard right now thanks to some Mandarin Cookies from ETHOS genetics.. super complex terpenes as well.. Mid week.. She got herself a good feeding today. The runoff pH has been coming out about .3 - .4 higher than going in.. the watering before today I went ahead and watered at 5.8.. runoff came out at 6.3.. perfecto! Today, went in at 6.2 and runoff came out 6.2... dos perfectos! Aye! So far, this girl is not disappointing at all! So much trochomes production just in the last 24 - 48 hours! Smells so freaking amazing!.. should be pretty fruity! I can't wait!!! End of week.. I've been kinda tweaking the nutes a bit.. I can see all the nute burn (trying to avoid overfeeding) but still trying to transition from grow to bloom.. actually, I thinkI can go to full on bloom now. She isnt stretching as much anymore. She had slowed quite a bit.. but perfectly lol.. so yeah.. gonna stop feeding grow nutes at this point.. and also cut out the MYCO+ because its only used in veg and transition. I'm going to add in some FloraNectar to make up for the molasses that was in the MYCO+.. no bloom boosters.. at least right now. Runoff is coming out perfectly.. sometimes it may drift to 6.5 but it has never gone out of range (6.5+).. if it stays at 6.5 for too long I end up watering/feeding at 5.8 at couple times and its back down to 6.1 or 6.2.. other than that.. no issues! On to the next week!...

The buds did seem a little airy and fluffy after dry trim. Granted they were full of trichomes, although i do wish they were more dense. The plant did spend its last 5 weeks of flower outdoors in the greenhouse so possibly the extreme heat could have been the culprit. She is full of dark ember orange/red hairs and has super bag appeal. The smoke is smooth with a high that just smacks you about half way through the joint. The smoke was smooth and the high was very indica dominant with an initial hour of cerebal pleasure proceeding the later heavy high . Very unique and wonderful smell as she cures. The high is very strong and clear minded. Its good for an evening smoke in my opinion. Can be a heavy high but without the couch lock.

5/28 Leaves are looking a lot better now that they have some room to spread themselves apart, no signs of furthering nutrient problems or overwatering issues. 5/29 Noticed what I'm pretty sure is a potassium deficiency. Freaked me out at first but the browning tips looks exactly like the picture I see online. It's not very widespread so I cut the effected leaves off, I'm hopeful it's residual effects of the insanely high ec. Regardless of the issues the plant is still growing really well and I was able to tie down a main branch around the entire pit almost except one area, but that ended up making it easier to water. 5/30 Potassium deficiency has spread a little but not much. Even though I watered till runoff yesterday (as I always try to do) the plant was dry and light today, so I watered her with nutrient solution at about 1.3 EC and runoff was about 2.2, little too high 6/1 Calcium toxicity. Shows as brown reddish spots and can present as potassium, manganese, iron etc deficiencies which is exactly what I've been seeing. There was quite a few leaves showing the blackish rust color so I cut them all and watered with nute solution at ~.72 EC. Will see if the problem continues to develop, however judging by the color of the growing shoots she is still growing quickly. 6/2 I found a couple of leaves that had evidence of damage but they were so hard to find I could very well have missed them the other days. I cut all effected leaves I could find off again, and will check tomorrow. Rearranged the plants a little to avoid this one from getting blasted by space heater. Untangled all growing shoots. 6/3 Found I think two or three effected leaves, mostly already effected leaves that I had just cut the currently effected blades off of the other days, and one leaf that looked too far damaged to be new damage but I will remain vigilant. Watered clean water, runoff ~1.75EC, almost where I want it.

Good growth this week but I think she is still in Veg mode.... I hope I have not made a big mistake not FIMing her or any of the others in the tent. She is easily the tallest of all four.

31 days into flower, I have slowly upped the cf to 1.8 since my last post, I have added a bit of Cal/Mag and upped the pk and treacle. My lights will come on as I am writing this, so we will see soon if yesterdays biggest feed to date has had any adverse effects. Video is my run off left to stand in shopvac over night. As you can see it is 'Alive' and bubbling away. What is going on does not smell like yeast or Vinegar, it smells like 'Clean fresh Compost'. So I expect the runoff is producing CO2 and Methane. CO2 is good, roots can absorb it. With the Methane there is possibly some Ethylene being produced, which may have some very positive benefits as far as plant chemistry and suppression of masculine traits? The gases bubbling off the runoff 'Soup' would not be difficult to Identify with a couple of wash bottles and a few readily available reagents. I ain't got the time, or the kit. There are definitely a few different organisms at play here as you can see different structured plaques forming on the water surface, and different foams forming with the bubbles. Just took photo's, everything looks good except Blue Sherbalato, Developed a kink in top leaf, that could be a couple of things, I shall work it out. (highered light a bit, dropped c/f, pushed cola away from light centre, and I shall let this pot dry out a touch, it has been happy till now.) Every thing else is looking OK, all got a touch of tip burn. Canna Coco sometimes does not have enough N for grow, and almost always too much N in flower so I expect a bit of tip burn especially in high calyx to leaf hybrids. The plants are using around 2 litres of water + food per day with a slight + or - on c/f with first runoff. Ph going in at 5 to 5.5. First runoff is 6.8 I will keep watering till runoff hits 5.8 or lower so it usually takes between 3 and 4 litres of nutes. per day. Hate being this wasteful with nutes , not enough going on in the garden to use it all out there yet, so down the drain it goes. I have thought about re-circulation, if I was bigger and running clones maybe. The Blue Sherbalato has shown me I got to start treating these plants as individuals and tailor their treatment accordingly. The GTH have changed their smell, the Lemon is still there but fuel and floor polish is becoming more dominant in 3 of the plants. My plants are in 10 litres of Coco in 15 litre felt pots rolled down. Maltezerz, Orangesicle GTH 1, . plus the Scott's OG will run out of pot space so I will top them up to the 15 litre. Got to make decisions on the cuts of these plants soon. I hate culling plants before the parent has finished its cycle.

Stretch her out a lil to let the light in. The smell is starting to be prenouced, gassy, cheesey, berry, funky cant wait.

Week 4 Last week was good gave the last defoliation for day 21. Adding a higher feed for her.
