PhinolaGreen The Eternity Cup 2026 is coming up, and I've decided on Cherry Cola RF3 from Fastbuds. I'm doing the strain 2x to see what phenos I get. The seed germinates in water for me and then goes back wrapped in kitchen paper. After that, the seedling moves into the pot, more info to follow 😊

PhinolaGreen 3rd week Things are slowly starting to happen. I still need to practice my technique a bit. I've noticed that I did something differently with the other ladies, but whatever, I'll just try it out this way for now. Hulkberry, Cinderella, etc. aren't showing any signs that they want to flower yet 🤷🏻‍♂️ I hope I can practice a bit more with Cherry Cola RF3 and the others. My VPD is once again not worth mentioning, over 2. 🤭 Have a great weekend!

PhinolaGreen Week 6 The switch to Bloom is in full swing, I'm going to change the light to Veg/Bloom soon. Just added a bit of nutrients with extra Calmag and yeah, everything else looks good so far I think 😊

PhinolaGreen 7th week I don't quite understand why it's turning yellow so quickly. The drain had a pH of 6.5, so it can't be that. It's also getting Calmag now, well I'll keep an eye on it 😊 Since my Boost from Hesi is running low, I've decided to switch to Advanced Nutrients Additive and will be changing my setup long-term 😄 I'm slowly getting a handle on the Mg deficiency; it definitely doesn't look as bad as in the pictures, and I feel like it's gratefully accepting the two extra doses of CalMag.

PhinolaGreen 8th week She looks good so far, I've adjusted the feeding plan a bit and I think it should be enough now to avoid necrosis. The buds are already damn firm in structure for bud formation despite the early stage. Crazy how she's coming along 😁 I'm looking forward to making her again later and then I'll let her grow normally, let's see how she develops then 😊

PhinolaGreen Harvest It's time, today I harvested the Cherry Cola RF3 Auto from Fastbuds on day 67. In my opinion, it's ready, so it's now hanging to dry. 😌

Regarding the topic: why is it turning yellow so quickly? In the first 3 weeks of flowering, I would definitely still add some Veg nutrients as well. The demand for nitrogen is still high during flowering. I suspect you've just neglected N a bit in the last few weeks.

@Automatics_Gourmets, thanks to your pictures I've also understood that the CCRF3 is really pulling through and it's not just because of the training. It suddenly turned around for you guys too. I think it looks better since I gave it Calmag. I'll definitely order some Epsom salt 👍🏻

Terp1 commented6mo ago
@PhinolaGreen, CalMag helps because it has enough Mg in it, and that probably works too. But I wouldn't overdo it with the Cal, because your CC clearly doesn't show any Cal deficiency. That would result in necrotic spots. So the optimal solution would most likely be Epsom salt.
PhinolaGreen
PhinolaGreen commented6mo ago
@Terp1, she definitely has necrotic spots on the leaves, but in the early stage. That's why I think the CalMag from yesterday has already helped. I think Epsom salt is a good solution for all the other plants too, and I'll just add that in 😉

The buds look great! Awesome grow. Will you give an update on the taste and effect after drying and curing?
PhinolaGreen
PhinolaGreen commented6mo ago
@Santemjocko, hey thanks. Of course, I'll keep testing that over the next few weeks and then write an update 😉

Ok. Then CalMag. The nasty thing about calcium and magnesium deficiency is that it only shows up 7-14 days after it starts. That's why it usually comes on suddenly and severely. You can't completely get rid of the damage, but the upper and new growth needs to look good. Under LED, I also learned that it's best to start adding CalMag (in my case, Epsom salt) in intervals one week before switching to flowering. If you use CalMag, you generally don't need Epsom salt anymore.

PhinolaGreen commented6mo ago
@Terp1, oh good to know. Could I also snack on the Epsom salt for my MG household? I’ll definitely get some since a grower from the community reported something similar to you and he enriches the water with MG and it’s been better for him since. We live in the same city and there are only 3 wells in the city, all with roughly the same values.
Terp1
Terp1 commented6mo ago
@PhinolaGreen, I don't think Epsom salt (actually bath salt without additives) is meant for snacking. But I'm not exactly sure. It's magnesium sulfate, exactly the element our favorite plants need as an Mg source. It also works as a foliar spray directly on the leaves. It's also in CalMag, and if that's enough to prevent the damage, then you don't need it additionally. Too much Cal (if Cal is already more than sufficient in the tap water) would, for example, exclude potassium... and that's important for bud building. But if you shouldn't have any more problems with CalMag, then you've hit the mark. Just needs 1-2 runs of experience.

@Terp1, I just wanted to give a quick update. I applied Calmag from Biobizz twice with a 4-day interval, and she got normal nutrients again. Now things are going better, and the leaves are fresh green again 😊

Mine did the exact same thing. My buds are tuning a beautiful pink to purple colour. I’ve probably got another 2-3 weeks until harvest

Hi BUD-dy. I'm running the CCRF3 right now, currently in week 6, buds are forming no zero trichome production yet. Did yours start late or was there a certain point where she piled them on?
PhinolaGreen
PhinolaGreen commented6mo ago
@SpliffDoc, hey, that looks good on your end 👍🏻 It really picks up from week 6, for me it only started blooming from week 6. Just let it do its thing, you probably just got a pheno that takes 10-11 weeks, it was already done in week 9.
