Hey guys . My cutting heating broke 3-4 weeks ago, which was fixed immediately and everything went wonderfully. Now, 3 days ago, the central heating broke down in the entire room, so that at night I only have temperatures of around 13 degrees :-( . One or the other lady is slowly starting to see a phosphorus blockage, as this can no longer be absorbed at temperatures below 15 degrees, like many other nutrients :-( . A friend looked at the heating yesterday and came to the conclusion that a real company had to do it, which is by no means possible for a stranger to enter my room. I quickly ordered heating mats for all the boxes so that the ladies could at least get warm feet. That's all I have this winter full can do . Let's hope everything will be fine 🙏🏻. As soon as the heating mats are attached in the coming days, I will post them in the pictures. Now for the update. Despite the severe cold, the ladies are still doing well and have made good progres . The ladies only had to be watered once this week, each time with 1 l, because it absorbs the water very slowly because of the cold and I don't want to overwater it. I took every single plant in the pot to take a close look at their roots. These are snow white and look very healthy 🙏🏻. It was also the last time neem oil sprayed so that the last trips are finally gone. Otherwise everything was checked and a lot of planning was done, like I do with the heating mats. Since a friend had the same problem in one winter and the heating mats got 10 degrees plus on the pots, I am very confident that it will at least bring something for the last cold month 😃 🙏🏻. Hello growmies! Welcome to week five of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! The girls are all at different early flowering stages, but they are only days apart from each other. I have a bit of a quandary now though, as I am no longer following the nutrient schedule as these plants are too fast for it. So I am unsure whether to start PK warrior or not yet. I have also realised I have probably underfed them in the last week or so, which to be honest isn't a big deal for me right now as they are already waaaaaaaaaaay bigger than expected. Let's talk about that a moment. This strain has an average height of 50-70cm. I wonder if those numbers were for soil grows? It seems for coco you will get even bigger plants. Case in point these six girls measured at 3pm 24/7 day 30 as follows: Plant 1: 111cm Plant 2: 99cm Plant 3: 90cm Plant 4: 89cm Plant 5: 85cm Plant 6: 84cm Plant 3 appears to have stopped stretching and is the most advanced into flower. Plant 4 is right behind it and has slowed down but not yet stopped stretching. Plant 2 is next in terms of flowering development her stretch is slowing. Plant 5 is still stretching rapidly and is coming to the end of preflower. No concern really at 85cm she has some room yet. Plant 6 is still stretching rapidly and is still in preflower. Slightly concerned despite her 84cm stature as she has been the most beefy looking plant all along, so I am expecting her to grow a good bit more. Plant 1 is still stretching rapidly and is still in preflower. Extremely very concerned about this one. The light is about as high as it can go. 111cm!! I have scoured the internet and the tallest Epsilon F1 I have found was 95cm. It's great that she is so happy this plant, but if she gets much taller I'm going to have to super crop her main cola. Whatever happens I am starting to dream of smashing my yield target out of the park, these girls are all impressive. Hard to believe they are just 30 days old. Plant 1: 126cm Plant 2: 107cm Plant 3: 93cm Plant 4: 94cm Plant 5: 97cm Plant 6: 96cm Plants 3 and 4 have stopped stretching now and are fully into flower. At 93cm and 94cm respectively, by the end of flower these girls may hit 1m but they wont go much more than that. Plant 2 looks to have just about stopped as well. It might go another 10cm overall. Plant 5 is still stretching but I think not much more. Plant 6 is still stretching and I am still expecting quite a bit of growth from her. Then there is plant 1. 126cm and still stretching. It has now grown beyond the height of the light. I hope it can somehow finish itself before it hits the top of the tent. I mean the secondary colas are over 1m already. It is a great shame this giant plant doesn't have more horizontal space to itself, either way it is absolutely shocking to see. I really do not want to super crop her, but am out of options. This grow, incidentally, constitutes the first and last time that I let any indoor cannabis plant go untrained. With basically 4 x 4 x 4 of usable space, training my plants is not really optional - and now you can all see why. This "50-70cm" strain has rapidly outgrown my space. RQS it may be time to revisit the height claims on this strain. Just saying. ### Week 5 Day 6 01:00 28/7 Rearranged the tent and photographed. I have been regularly rotating the plants and periodically moving them around. My problem is now plant one has already hit the top of the tent and there is no easy way to give it anymore space... still not sure what I am supposed to do but it's fine for now... tried to capture the problem with the photos. As well as plant 1, plant 6 looks like it's going to keep going for a good bit yet, and plant 2 is still putting a bit of height on. I took plenty of photos today to try and capture the essence of the jungle. It is quite unbelievable what these plants have done. I just cannot stop looking at them, they are magnificent. I have not fed for 4 days, will probably feed later I am just trying to slow them down a bit by not feeding them. It doesn't seem to be working. ### Week 5 Day 6 23:00 28/7 Defoliated heavily all plants. Fertigated 2l each. Removed some more lower side growth off the smallest plant (plant 3) to make space. Might leave it a few days before I photograph again. Plants 2, 3, and 4 are all well into flowering now, plant 5 is not far behind them, but plants 1 and 6 are still in preflower. :( What is really remarkable right now is the difference in colour between the plants further into flower vs the plants still in preflower. Esta bonita cepa ha estirado mucho estos tres dias que lleva a 12/12 horas de luz. Mide unos 53 centimetros y esta ramificado muy bien para mi gusto.

Al ser la variedad con más predominancia sativa de las tres que habian estas fueron cortadas un poco antes de tiempo y los tricomas en su mayoria eran todo cristalinos, apenas habian unos pocos lechosos o ámbar y muchos de color morado xd. No obstante una vez pasados los dias huele bién, sabe bién y buen efecto. No sabria describir el sabor pero tiende a Kush. fácil de cultivar y como pudo verse hace o puede hacer unas bonitas porras.

Purtroppo causa infestazione di insetti le piante hanno avuto una vegetativa lenta e di conseguenza sono entrate in fioritura che erano alte 20cm.Penso che la mia avventura con le autofiorenti termina qua. Piante troppo delicate. Bisogna essere perfetti i primi 20/25 giorni e probabilmente non lo sono ancora.Si torna alle femmine per ora e in futuro si partirà da semi regolari di banche semi serie!!! Well she seems to be getting along very well for her 4th week in flower. Nothing exciting done this week i keep feeding her about 5 litres of water with 30ml canna A and 30ml canna B with a ph of 6.3 on average water schedule about every 24hours.

Great strain, germinated after 24h in a glass water and came out of the cocosproutpad after like one day and a half later, started a bit slow because of overwatering (extreme heatwave here) but managed to recover very well. A nice fast growing plant in vegative stage with lots of big fanleaves and a pretty bushy under area. Transferred to flowering really fast and then had a little bit of stunt in growth, I expected her bigger but this has a lot to do with my growing conditions and overall temperature and air. Buds kick in really nice and start showing frost early and thickening buds around week 4 of 5. She can handle nutrients like a boss. Not one single sign of nutrientburn throughout the entire grow. The final 4 weeks were pretty tough to keep her happy since I had a lack of light, no good airflow and lots of rain. Also bugs and some budrot but I can't blame the plant for that. She fought her way through it and delivered nice buds. Not too compact but it's an outdoor grow. After 10weeks of flowering she looked done for me. I will grow her again next year and do better. Learned a lot on my first Growdiary experience 😊 Will update with smokereport and total weight/outcome after curing. Trying to dial their veg in. Nutes may be too old or too high. Changed with 4ml CaMg per gallon of RO water. The rest is MaxiGrow. Ever since adding rockwool to the grow, I have struggled. I don't have the dry back timed right yet. I moved my fan to dry the top of the pot surface instead of in the root zone or at the canopy height. After about 10 days I dumped out the rockwool and have replaced with hydroton. My initial though on using rockwool was to give the roots more space during late life stages. My experience has been with hydroton and I notice that the roots eventually get bound because the hydroton is a durable material and will not crush or compact. Rockwool on the other hand will compress when squeezed so I was hoping that in the late life stages the roots would compress the rockwool and make more room in the pots. The issue was dryback. If I used chunks instead of croutons, this may help but the other reason I used them was because I had them here already. If anyone is trying to slow their dryback down, they should consider adding 10% volume of croutons to hold moisture in the medium a bit longer. Notice anything different? They are starting to adapt to their new media. Hopefully by next week I can get them to perk up. One plant has looked better than the other three. I have no idea what these plants need to “perk up”. Possibly a different grower. If a grape terpine wasn’t in the end results I would have culled these long ago. Hopefully they perk up when we get to flower. 3 look ,,,, meh, the fourth is descent. Trimmed all four back down to 12” tall. Flower next week.

Flower day 22, I hope the stretch is finally over.. these girls are giants! So far they have just been given P.H water and 1 top dress of some Dr Forest bloom 2-8-4 dry amendments mixed with some bokashi, canna pro soil and some worm castings that I watered in using molasses. Loving how easy this grow is going, hopefully it stays that way until harvest :)

This brings the Journal up to speed. So going to start the 48 hour FLush this upcoming Sunday as well as going to move it to 48 hours of light insted of 48 hours of darkness. Then straight into the Freeze dryer to bring it down to 60% humidity in the bud and then to the curing jars. Going to be Timber 2 days into Week 9 of FLower. 1/20/2023 Week 8 (Day 5)- Flower- Day 107 overall T - 2 days until start 48 hour Flush T - 2 days until Start 48 hours of Light T - 4 days until TIMBER!!! 1/22/2023 Week 8 (Day 7) -FLower- Day 109 Overall Flush Day and 48 hours of Light. I subscibe to Dr. Bruce Bugbee's suggestion that production is under light instead of under darkness so I no longer do 48 hours of Darkness, I go 48 hours of light before Chop, sending my plants on a marathon run before I Cut. Chopped her two days into week 14. What else. Buds. There are a lot of them. And they are quite large. And they look like they will require little effort to trim. What more can I wish for? I am a very happy man. Upd 1: Trimming is SO SIMPLE! Not much sticking out to begin with, because of the amazing bud structure and me plucking most bud node fans. Solid nugs which are not bothered by anything, so pulling smaller sub-bud fans is very simple too, while the buds are what I would call moist. I'll call this Moist Trim 😄 ✂️✂️✂️ Went for the best trimming tools available on the market (well at least my research concluded so) and LOVING every minute of trimming with the B-500SRF. Why would I or anyone else use something less suitable or less comfortable for such a delicate and long job is beyond me, except if you cannot afford one right now, in which case I wish you to experience it one day. Fiskars are also very good in therms of the blades, coating and cutting ability and precision, but the spring is just too stiff, like way, way to stiff for something that is to be used for hours on end. One might argue that such spring force helps overcome resin buildup, but please just rinse your instrument regularly in an appropriate solvent (ethy, iso, whatever — consider you instrument materials as well) and wipe it after. Why would you let significant amounts of resin to accumulate on such a gentle and precise tool? Kinda defeats the purpose?
