June 22: morning foliar spray with Extreme Blend and FPJ made from cannabis tops and brown sugar. June 23: bit of a rough day today. I broke one ot the main stems this morning while trying to bend it a bit. It had grown to the point where I should be supercropping and not just using LST to get the 8 colas properly separated. Need to buy some proper floral tape and the only thing I could find in a hurry was clear packing tape. Not ideal but might still work. Or I’m down two colas. Also found a caterpillar in the act of munching on the leaves which mostly explains the minor leaf damage. Not a big deal and she is looking good for the solstice time of year. June 24: now have floral tape (great $5 grow tip) so I supercropped and taped the undamaged stem. This keeps all 8 grow tips at same height so one doesn’t take apical dominance. This way all should grow evenly. The broken stem looks like it will recover. Watered for first time since rain with molasses, Cal-Mag and Nature’s Source. June 25: morning foliar spray with FPJ and potassium silicate. Started another lazy compost tea in 5 gallon bucket. Two handfuls compost, molasses, Extreme Blend, kelp extract, bit of vinegar to get pH to about 7, and a bit of Dr Bronners peppermint soap to help solubilize things (surfactant or wetting agent). Also decided to add a handful of shredded coco coir to give the bacteria some media to grow on (“fiber”). Leave 24-36 h to incubate. June 26: looks good…used compost tea after 27C day. June 28: replaced clear plastic with floral tape. Five days to heal well enough to re-tape. Removed lower growth tips as part of the manifolding to focus growth on the 8 top spots for now.

Day28: sign of flowering, BB3 still small but growing. Slowly increasing water and fertilizers. This week it’s time for some early flower defoliation/lollipopping. Day30: bouncing back from defoliation.

They’re off and running, I may need to fill two of the pots with a bit more substrate as I ran out towards the end. Otherwise, they’re feeding and growing well.

They’re fattening up a lot now, they all drink really slow but they’re still packing on and look happy. It feels like I’m gonna kill them because I’m only watering about once a week. Humidity is getting to be a problem. Getting a dehumidifier soon, if you have any recs lmk I’m still kinda lost. Too many options and I’m not sure any of them even work. I’m getting the first few whiffs here and there, smell’s starting and everything looks frosty. The oils smell like fresh fruit and cream, some have a cookie-ish rub to em. Every day I get more excited to see what they do in the end!

Well I found out that she is having a bit of Cal Mag defficiency thats why the leaves are getting too yellow and fast. But so far so good. I hope she stays all good. I think this week she will be ready to harvest.

Week 2 of the flowering phase flew by 🌱💨. Unfortunately, I may have overdone it with potassium or kept the water level too high – the classic signs of clawing leaves were evident. Thankfully, they seem to be recovering now and are back under control 💪🍃. My IR night experiment is showing clear results 🌌: The plants exposed to infrared radiation at night stretched significantly more. This might be especially beneficial for this indica-dominant strain as it leads to better canopy distribution, improved airflow, and reduced risks of mold and disease. Plus, the light distribution is much more efficient now, which I’m excited to see pay off. On the downside, my Orange Sherbert turned hermaphroditic 😔. It’s hard to pinpoint the cause – overfertilization seems unlikely since I’m using only organic nutrients. I suspect it might be linked to an E-field experiment I’ve been running. To confirm this theory, I’ll conduct a new grow with a similar strain next year to see if the electric field negatively impacts cannabis development. Stay tuned for updates! Leider habe ich wohl etwas zu viel Kalium gegeben oder den Wasserstand zu hoch gehalten – die typischen Anzeichen von Adlerkrallen waren sichtbar. Zum Glück scheinen sich diese jetzt zurückzubilden und sind wieder unter Kontrolle 💪🍃. Mein IR-Nachtexperiment zeigt bereits deutliche Ergebnisse 🌌: Die Pflanzen, die nachts mit Infrarotstrahlung bestrahlt wurden, haben deutlich stärker gestretcht. Das ist besonders bei dieser indica-dominanten Sorte wahrscheinlich von Vorteil, da es zu einer besseren Verteilung des Blätterdachs führt. Dadurch verbessert sich die Luftzirkulation, das Risiko von Schimmel und Krankheiten wird minimiert, und die Lichtverteilung wird effizienter. Ich bin gespannt, wie sich das weiter auswirkt! Leider hat meine Orange Sherbert gezwittert 😔. Woran das genau liegt, kann ich schwer sagen. Eine Überdüngung halte ich für unwahrscheinlich, da ich nur biologischen Dünger verwendet habe. Ich vermute, dass mein E-Feld-Experiment eine Rolle spielt. Um das zu bestätigen, werde ich nächstes Jahr einen neuen Durchlauf mit einer ähnlichen Sorte machen und prüfen, ob das elektrische Feld tatsächlich eine ungünstige Rückentwicklung der Pflanze verursacht. (Batch#1)Nothing much to report this week. All plants are growing steadily and healthy.Most plants doubled in size and grew wider.

Having to constantly move the ties as each branch keeps pulling in closer together , keeping on top of defoliation starting to get a weak smell when opening the tent overall plants healthy

As of day 14, I am happy (although a little worried) about how the grow is going. Growth continues to be somewhat strong and new growth seems to be healthy, but the issue that affected the lower leaves has left me a little spooked. It has continued to the second set of leaves to a limited degree. I have mostly eradicated the fungus gnats who moved in from some houseplants so that is a plus. Poor transplanting technique could have also damaged the roots, as the issues became most apparent after potting up to 1 gallon containers. Although I have been very careful to PH my nutrients after mixing, I realize I was not PHing at every fertigation and may have missed some early swings upwards in my watering reservoir so I am now being more diligent making sure the PH is consistently under 6.2. I am hoping that these actions will have fixed whatever issue was occurring, but if there is anything I may have missed please let me know! I have a expanded the timelapse to contain all the growth up to day 14, and will continue to re-edit it for every week. Thanks for reading, and happy growing! Day 16: began LST to expose/encourage the new branches. There has been plenty of healthy new growth, so I suspect that the leaf issues were due to temporary PH fluctuations in my watering reservoir that went undetected. Thank you to those who answered my grow question! 👍 Day 17: FIMed the Blue Dream'matic, which has been growing strongly. I went a little more aggressive because in the past I have messed the technique up by getting mostly leaf instead of the new node of growth. Hopefully it goes well this time! Day 18: more LST will wait as my smaller plant Staples do not have enough hold, when I transplant to 5g pots I will continue. Day 20: a few lower leaves continue to show the browning. I will transplant at day 21 which will give me a chance to check the roots, and I will be adding h202 to my watering bucket to prevent pH swings due to bacteria (which I believe has caused the issue). The plant is still growing vigorously and is branching well post FIM.

This girl is so ready god flowering, she’s responding well to all training and continues to move out as wide as she can but now show does start to get taller.

Week 3 for the solo is officially complete. She's been growing with no trouble. Root development has been excellent. As you can see, I decided to mainline. Seeing as she's in a solo cup, I'm not too worried about stunting. I'm horrible at measuring the water intake, but the cup needs to be watered daily. It's as lite as a feather everyday.

Plants have bounced back and it’s starting to smell great! My soil grows are killing it. The sugar leaves are getting frosty!
