Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. Plenty growth shown on most plants, unfortunately we lost 3 to slugs ate every node on the plants so they been pulled. Will put some autos in replace of them. Topped a few this week to try get them bushed out. Had a good feed of grow, hopefully this slug pellets will keep them at bay and they will be stress free. That’s all this week! Happy growing🌱

Feb 14, 2018: Seems my fears were unfounded, I'm not seeing any spots of mildew and I think in 4 days I would see something if it was there. Water with plain water, just ph'd nothing else added. staked up a couple of the buds, all the other palnts are managing to hold each other up, the fan leaves seem to grow into each other so the canopy is a solid moving mass. When the oscillating fan hits the colas the whole canopy sways slightly. For future grow I plan to have more space between plants, and will need a screen/net to hold everything up. Feb 12,13 2018: Watered with 10ml/Gal Tiger Bloom, 10ml/Gal Big Bloom, 2tsp blackstrap molasses, 1ml Cal-Mag per gallon. Ph'd to 6.5 ish. Lost my SD card so didn't get any photos 2/12, but took some with my phone on day 73, and then found my SD card. High quality photos are back tomorrow mourning. Feb 11, 2018: Had a bit of a freak out, thought i had spotted a couple PM spots forming, think it was just the leaves resinous sticky. After the scare decided to do some major cleanup of old leaves and ALL dead leaves, i know it wont help fight PM, but added a small 6" fan circulating air below canopy. Humidity has been constant due to running a dehumidifier so it stays between 45-50 lights on and off.

I think I’m a little short on nitrogen, busy to fix the problem. Kings and Dj’s gold doing well, only have the problem with the Barney’s. The color is not dark green but getting whiter. Curly top leaves but soft, not to dry not to whet. Start giving plagron alga bloom sinds today 25% more then the alga grow.

the girls are struggling a little bit. One is yellowing because its about to flower, but one is just not growing much and the other is very lanky.

The temperatures, humidity, height, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Coop Poop, Feather Meal, and Soluble Kelp are ml/gallon of soil top dressed. Everything else listed in nutrients is ml/gallon of water fed to plants without checking the solution Ph. Day 1 we had a high temperature of 73°. It was sunny, cool, and a dry 35% humidity. The girls are super happy. I'm adding 100ml coop poop top dressed to each pot today. About midweek I'll hit them with potassium. Day 2 we had a high temperature of 74°F. I watered about 5 gallons of well water. The nights are super cool and the pm is coming back. Day 3 we had a high temperature of 79°F with clear sunny skies. The temperature at night has been pretty low. Last night 41°F and tonight 44°F. Day 4 we had a high temperature of 84°F with sunny skies. The humidity is tipping back up but still below 80%. These girls are doing great. They are getting about 2 hours less sunshine than the other fastbuds I'm growing. It's definitely keeping these girls behind and affecting production. I treated with biofungicide today. Day 5 we had a high temperature of 87°F with partly cloudy skies. I watered about 5 gallons. Day 6 we had a high temperature of 80°F. Skies were cloudy and we have a hurricane now tropical depression about to hit. I watered about 5 gallons. No rain yet. Day 7 we had a high temperature of 72°F. Skies were overcast and there was a drizzling mist all day. Humidity was 110% for at least 24 hours. The girls seemed to be fine. There's more rain in the forecast and I'm hoping we miss it. This week was a success. The girls really started smelling loud and very citrus. Like really orangy smelling tang. These really have an awesome nose. The weather is being a little bit tuff. Other than that a great week.

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.
