On day 10, I transferred the buds to the HerbDryer since I needed to free up space in the drying cabinet for two other plants. When I made the switch, I did a light trim, and I finished the final trim when I placed them in jars for curing. As for the smell, it’s definitely strong and noticeable. You can clearly pick up berry and herbal aromas. After curing, the smoke quality and smell will improved . In terms of yield, it was a bit below expectations—only 36g dry. The top buds have good density, but the lower buds are quite airy and loose. That being said, I wasn’t expecting a big yield anyway, especially since it only had 12 hours of light during flowering. When you open the bag, the aroma spreads quickly, and it's easy to tell that you've been handling it. After smoking, your room will smell great, but not overwhelmingly so—it fades after a little while, hahaha! Overall, I’m satisfied for now… Now it’s just a matter of waiting for a better cure to enjoy it at its fullest! 🔥🌿

Week 8 begins! Grandaddy Bruce is doing great, nice buds super frosty, sticky, heavy and dense. I continue to be impressed by this light and how this plant has grown under it.

Well, this week has been eventful. What started with a fly deciding to lay eggs in my buckets with larvae swimming around and chilling on my roots turned into a bit of a disaster. I used very weak H2O2 (diluted 3% solution). To try and clean infestation, the roots didn’t like it, even though the actual concentration of H2O2 was probs less than 0.25%. Lesson learned 🙃 It has given some of them a touch of root rot (this is an assumption because I can’t figure out what else it could have been). So growth has stunted a lot. Just before the bug problem, I increased EC to 1.1, this was probably another mistake, the smaller girls at the back with a smaller root mass got massive lock out, potassium, mag and calcium by the looks of it, coupled with a few not so well timed PH swings out of the 5.5-6.5 range gave me a lot to combat this week. But, life goes on, they’re still alive (just about)... As this is probably the hardest curve ball I’ve had thrown at me since I started growing canna, I have cut back the EC to 0.56 to allow them to heal. Probably wrongly decided to top them all as they were growing past 7th node, either it’s gonna pay off, or I’ll be posting harvest details of 0g by this time next week 👽 I am on a stay at home holiday from work for the next 3 weeks, so looks like my babies are staying in the ICU and I’ll do my best to bring them back to life 😊

22/11/2021 all plants are doing well with some clearly larger than others. they have taken well to the root juice and the bio heaven and will continue root juice in the first week. Light is at 50% brightness. 26/11/2021 - masses of leaves - plants have taken to the pots well - slight bending issue with one where it was stretching for the light but it is now propped with sticks so hopefully will straighten out. All plants look set to be nice and tall.

Week F1: 28/03/2025 – 03/04/2025 28/03 – Light switch completed. 1L nutes. Moderate defoliation to expose bud sites. 30/03 – 1L nutes. Topped 4 main stems. Minor defoliation. 01/04 – 1L nutes. LST via net. Heavy stretching observed. 03/04 – 2L nutes. Upping water schedule to 1L every other day. I've included a video for this week, cannot wait to see how the flowering process looks!

Moin moin aus dem hohen Norden Deutschlands........ Den Ladys geht es ganz gut denke ich bin auf jeden Fall zufriedener als bei Meinen anderen grows. Am Montag den 23. 01.23 habe ich die ersten 3 Ladys aus ihren 1Liter Töpfen befreit und sie in ihr endgültiges Zuhause umgetopft (15L Stoff Töpfe) die Erde (Bio bizz) wurde mit 75 gramm startrex gut vermengt und ein pflanz Loch mit 5 gramm mycotrex vorbereitet, pflanze aus dem alten Topf raus in neues Zuhause rein und das ganze dann mit einer Lösung aus 1g/L bactrex und 5m/L orgatrex angegossen (jede Lady bekam 500ml). Am Mittwoch den 25.01.23 habe ich das ganze auch mit der 7 Tage jüngeren Pflanze gemacht damit ich mit den Tabletten von Bio tabs relativ gleich auf bin was den Verbrauch betrifft da ich jetzt 4 Wochen warte und Dann umstelle auf 12/12. Plan von mir ist in der nächsten Woche das erste topping zu vollziehen Dann 14 Tage Erholung noch mal toppen dadurch Hat sie ca 1 1/2 wochen Zeit sich zu erholen und dann geht es in die blüte. bis dahin (also die nächsten 4 Wochen) gibt es jetzt erstmal nur Wasser..... Dann wieder mal eine Lösung aus 5ml/L orgatrex und 1g/L bactrex und ab der 4. Blüte Woche fängt erst das wirkliche Arbeiten an mit dem Dünger (Tee brauen) boha freue ich mich darauf 😁👍 das war es auch für diese Woche...... The week was well. One of my ladies seem a little over watered. So I'll cut back on her little this week. I did top them all (yes I top earlier than most people 3rd or 4th node rather than 5th or 6th) this week every time I watered I threw in some human acid and whatever microbes I felt like using I think I've added pnsb, & recharge and prolly the sample of fish sh!t I had this week. I'll prolly brew a tea or do a compost extract sometime this week just because I haven't done one yet.

Shes getting there. The colas are thicky and sticky. Harvest looks to be 10 to 14 days away, trichs are still clear. Feed is only calmag and ph'd water. Total days above ground: 63 Total flower nights: 24 Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. The Mountaintop Mint has made great strides but is still a lanky bitch. I had to HST every branch, and may need to bend a couple more down before vegetative growth abates. Not a fan of this growth pattern and still unhappy about 2 out of 9 seeds providing a viable outcome. The bright side is that yield should be fine given the plethora of bud sites. Despite being difficult to grow next to other plants, I feel much better about its prospective outcome than I did just 1 week ago. That whole "crazy shit can happen in flower" thing rings true, again. Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action... One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health. I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless. Side note: The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference. Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

Welcome to week 5 of the LSD-25. We are officially in flowering 😍. This week there were just minor adjustments to the LST, a few fan leaves removed, and brewed compost tea for the feed. I was able to setup the GoPro again for a 24 hour time-lapse 👌 Brewed a gallon of compost tea for about 30 hours and fed her as lights turned on.
