Semana de cosecha La Papayton de 42 Fast Buds llega al final con una presencia brutal. Los cogollos, ya completamente formados, salen duros, pesados y bañados en una resina espesa que deja los dedos pegados al mínimo toque. Los tonos grisáceos y rojizos se han asentado del todo, dando ese aspecto maduro y uniforme tan característico de esta genética. El aroma tropical se vuelve aún más profundo al cortar: dulce, afrutado y con ese golpe de papaya madura que confirma que estaba en su punto óptimo. La planta llevaba días sin crecer, enfocada solo en rematar tricomas y apretar cada flor. Todo ha cerrado perfecto, tal y como esperaba. ¡Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

The harvest of my dear Stella was supposed to happen on August 4th, but didn’t begin actually until August 9th. I decided to allow her to dry out a bit before beginning the harvest, but I had some other difficulties which made her dry out a whole lot before I ever even got started. You can tell how dry by looking at the pics and video. Luckily, the dryness was limited to her larger leaves. She was already quite dry on the 9th when I started, and was more so by the 12th when I finished. Even after the advanced drying, her wet trimmed weight was still quite a bit. I’ll list the weights all together in a bit. It took 4 days to get the whole plant trimmed, weighed, and hung up for final drying. She was hung up from August 12th till Friday, August 19th. I got busy harvesting another plant while she was hanging up, and just let her be. On August 19th I took all of her branches down and removed the buds to get the true harvest weight of her buds alone. Let’s get to the weight of the whole thing. The overall wet-trimmed weight of the plant was 18.329 ounces with the buds and branches combined. I was a forgetful idiot and forgot to get the weight of the dry buds on the branches before removing the buds. So all we’re left with is the actual harvest weight of the dry buds alone. The overall dry bud weight, or actual “true” harvest weight of the smokable bud is: 7.317 ounces. That’s a wonderful amount of freshly harvested bud to cure. All of the buds were put into 8 quart sized jars filled roughly 3/4 full, and 1 pint sized jar, also 3/4 full. Each jar has a hygrometer as well as 58% bóveda packs to help aid the curing process. This is the 2nd DarkStar plant I’ve harvested, and both were very large plants. I used a scrog method the first time with a net that spread the whole plant out taking up the entire 4x4 area of the tent. This time I wanted to let her grow more naturally. She got so large that I had to bend almost all of her taller branches over using HST methods. I had to bend 3-5 branches over more than once. By doing that, once her buds began to fatten up she got too heavy and needed to be supported just to stand upright. Toward the end she had to literally be tied up to the side of the tent. Stella (DarkStar) was a wonder to grow, and she gave me a good amount of clones that will soon be harvested themselves. It has been a journey with Stella, and I’m happy that the journey is now complete. Happy growing everyone!

Everything look excellent wishing I had a time machine. Just about run out from first grow can't get enough . hands down best smoke I had all year but I still think there is room for improvement .

5/22 - fed and watered, some of the lower leaves are yellowing again and she's quite lightweight. She dries out quick, maybe from being in small 1 gallon container. Gave her about a quart of pH adjusted water with nutes. Also raised the light about 5 inches. 5/25 - looking a bit droopy, fed and watered, gave about a quart of pH adjusted water with nutes, and trimmed off the yellowing leaves

Man!!!! I did not expect some bag seeds to be as successful as these, but the seeds I got came from bud I got from the dispensary, my one gallon DWC experiment is great!! It’s not huge but it’s the most potent!! And I did one plant base nutes only and another with all the additives.. the the plant with base nutes only is the biggest!!

So far so good.

Die Woche über haben sich die Blüten weiter entwickelt. Die Trichome wurden mehr und man fängt an erste Terpene zu riechen. Wir haben Donnerstag (BT 21) stark entlaubt und schauen jetzt wie die Pflanzen wachsen. Z-Up haben wir ziemlich extrem entlaubt. Mal schauen wie sie reagiert.

Stoked on her. She turned out wonderful. Smells like rotting strawberries and gas. I’m so glad I could grow her out normally. No purple colors but she has a pink hue to her. I’m pleased. Into the cure closet she goes. She will cure for a couple weeks and I can’t wait to press her into some rosin 🍓

This week has flown by with no issues to report. She just does her thing. There is another 3 weeks to go for her flowering so we will just keep doing whatever it is we have done in weeks gone by.. There I go again with the "we". There is no we only I ... I will increase the top max this week. 2 more weeks of feed then water for the last week. Thanks for stopping by. Bridal rubbing sugar leafs smells like some sort of candy watermelon, blackberry neat skunky AF sugar leaf rub, pink is nice mellow I will have to check tomorrow. Dr. Thunder very oily with sugar leaf rub I swear you could deepfry with it. It also smells mellow skunky but will check again tomorrow it may have been terps overload on my fingers regarding thunder and pink paradise aromas. Pink caylaxes have shriveled and accepted pollen locations. I just don't think the seeds will be ready when harvesting in a few weeks. Start week 5 tomorrow and I don't think crosses will be ready so I will figure it out. Pink crosses would be fun next round but I have so many more selections to choose from to grow my next 4.Thunder smells like a citrus cleaner, almost pineapple front notes then a full citrus. day35 defoliated like madd. no lie so sticky: 2 fingers lifted a ceramic cup like I was spiderman. 1 finger was a struggle.. science

this one seems to be keeping up with the others pretty well, wish it had produced some larger leaves prior to flip but oh well
