From the 15th day I start adding half the norm of Hesi TNT Complex 2ml/L, we test with 210 ppm so as not to burn the roots. On the 18th day, I moved the plant into a larger pot and watered it with half the recommended amount of nutrients and of course, transplanted the plant into a larger pot. On the 21st day, I did LST (Low-Stress Training).

I treated the plant with a long series of fertilizers and various boosters, I will list them all in the last week, now I have been running water for 12 hours a day for about 10 days .. I think a final wash does not exist better than this.

Added a humidifier to the tent to try to raise the humidity. The ladies are doing great, nice green leaves and she is showing her pistols. I do a foliage spray with voodoo juice and cal /mag Xtra 3x a day.

Buds start to form so its time to try raise ec for a bit. Still stretching a lot in day. Cant wait to trim it almost naked. Roots look great. Video from yesterday when bubbler was empty. 13.6 Stretching and forming. 1.2ec is max it wants. 6.2ph. Defoliation starts tomorrow. Way too much stuff there. 15.6 defol. Finishing it at monday. 16.6 continued defol. Still let couple leaf for tomorrow to take out. DLI ~38 With high hopes 🍀

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. (Have been thinking about it, decided to just do both runts under one diary and just using the Green Sensation on them both. Had only used growdots on the other one, but will be bringing the other runtz into this diary aswell) Beginning to add the Green Sensation nutrients this week. Really curious to see how she looks in the next 2 weeks now that its being added!. But these Runtz are growing well, looks great to me so far nothing crazy , bit different pheno then my other grow but I'm happy with both .. Can't wait to see how they flower fully. Not much else was done, I do regret not training but wanted to let it do its thing , didn't have the space for anything big (I never go for massive, one of these days I'll veg longer tho just for the experience of it) Had cut off a handful of leaves that were laying on each other. Did alil form of lollipoping but not extreme. And only plan besides Green Bay is the Recharge will also be used 1x weekly. Lights are currently around 32 DLI roughly 700/750ppfd off the top of my head. I'm thinking around 40 I may push to peak but we will see, no added CO2 besides environmental atleast its above 500 pretty steady raises to 8/900 amd alil higher when I'm in talkin shit to them. The water input is picking up in frequency aswell. Watering every other day still due to how cold it is they are drinking slow but their just about 3/4s of a gallon currently.. Temps have been way lower this run then I really wanted just last heater I had decides to quit on me.. big area so tough to replace that thing and of course it was just out of warranty lol by 2 months. The one is getting some purples on it this one's pretty light green , ec is in range after a quick lil media test, had been curious if she was hungry so decide to check did alil runoff when watered prior to feeding the plagron. Ec was fine and PH was alil low so bringing that up as I feed. Besides that tho , their smelling really sweet.. literally like a pack of runtz already ...anxious to get to smoke some of my first try at a runtz plant!
