Hey guys, late into week 5 finally have some time to tend to the gals. It's been almost a week since I last watered them. We had 2 thunderstorms roll in so that kept the ladies quenched but when i went to check them out today most of them were pretty dry. Before I watered them, I topped off the soil level with some more promix hp and started our first topdressing. As usual 2tbs per gal @ 70/30 ratio of 444 to 284. I'm my case 21tbs to 9tbs. After that I water them with 50mL of molassas in 5gal of dechlorinated water with each plant raking about 3L of water. I also defoliated some under growth and to clean up the canopy to allow more light to penatrate prime grow sites. Last week I noticed some fungus gnats flying around, so I put up yellow fly traps with bamboo skewers (best way imo). I also did a preventive maintenance and watered the girls last week with neem oil soil drench to kill off any larvae or eggs that may have been laid. So good so far, as the traps did not have many gnats on them. Other than the usual pm items done, the ladies are taking off quite fast, so I need to stay ontop of things when I can! Watering has increased for this young one to grow and access readily available nutrients. I might be topping her as well considering how tight of a structure she has.

Day 60 of 12/12 HARVEST TIME They are soooo fine I barely have words. Weak-neck gland trait is a fact. I was collecting FRESH, "WET" (non-dried) flowers for Fresh Frozen - the amount of trichome heads just breaking off during that process was astounding. Air was full of trichome heads every time I touched a branch or a bud. I repeat - it was non-dried flowers, straight from a branch, from alive, watered plant - and I collected a few grams of loose heads in my TrimBin. Crazy stuff. I also pressed it and I got top-shelf rosin - without dryiyng and sieving or bubble ice wash. Mind blown 🤯 8 plants 60 days (8.5 weeks) of flowering under 12/12 4x4 ft tent 466W Mars Hydro light = 2166g of Whole Plant Fresh Frozen material (just trimmed buds + some trichome-covered leaves) Now floweres are in deep freeze -36°C waiting to be washed for bubble hash and pressed into live rosin in the near future.

Week 3 of Flower we focus on Defoilation. This really is going to test the genetics response to extreme stress. Performed a 5 day Schwazze to minimize stress instead of ripping off most leave in one day. Plant seem to have reacted well so far. This technique has really opened the canopy and expose many bud sites. Preparing for a top feed at start of new week.

Bonus material- my cannabutter pics. No smoke report for a while but I can give you an edibles report in a few hours 😂 Plant #1 suffered gravely and thus was harvested early, dried, and turned into beaaautiful butter/edibles hehe. The rest of it is box drying and I'll be doing the same with that. The top of the plant (first harvest of sorts, after bud rot discovered) was 49g dry, not inc ofc what was binned. I'll let you know the dry weight of the rest but no point giving you a smoke report. She was cut early and suffered a looooot The purple lemonade began as the underdog and quickly took over as my #1 babe. It was far more resilient to environmental conditions and changes- and let's not forget that they went through a hurricane with me and power out for a few days! I don't find her strong on the nose at all despite how big some of her buds are, and how frosty. Very piney, and that dominates everything else. Very excited to see what terps come out more in the cure though- I hear great things about this strain. She was cut today and is hanging in a dark closet with small fan, RH 65% and temp 22c. I did not take a wet weight, but she's heavy. Super looking forward to smoking this one, after a few more weeks of TLC... Sigh. Always we try to wait haha. It is a lot airier than I thought it was going to be, so most of it ended up as shake for edibles or something. I ended up with 38g of big bud, 33 of smaller, and over 40g of larf and shake. Even the big buds are airy though, not dense at all. A little disappointing for sure, but I made a lot of mistakes so it isn't a surprise. It is now in jars with humidity packs and I'll report back in a couple of weeks or so with a smoke report :)

During week 7 the 3 plants continue to grow outstandingly well! The BADAZZ-CHEESE and ZHEETOS from BIG BUDDHA SEEDDS have a healthy green color and grow so much foliage that I have to defoliate on a regular basis. On day 43 (=flowering day 19) I take off all bigger fan leaves in order to ensure a better airflow thru the closet. The humidity is unfortunately still on the high side and sometimes exceeds 80% in the daily maximum, that is MUCH too high during flowering. I increased the dose of BIO NOVA nutrients according to their feeding scheme and all plants LOVE IT! The ZHEETOS #1 plant grows much taller than her sister ZHEETOS #2, therefore I decide to SUPER-CROP her on Day 48 (=FD 23). This technique developed by SOMA from SOMA-SEEDS is one of my favorites and I use it since years in order to bush out plants, which grow to high. Appr. 15-20 cm from the top of the plant, right above an internode, I take the main stem between two fingers and press very hard until I can feel the fibres inside the stem brake. By slowly pressing all around the diameter of the stem I create a weak spot at which I bend over the stem, so it looks 90-180 degrees downward. I do this very carefully to NOT BRAKE the outer skin of the stem while I bend the stem downwards. Even if some fibres brake, the stem will repair itself within a few days to a week and then start to point upwards again...👍😃 During the time the main stem needs to repair itself, all other side-stems will grow more upwards and this makes the plant bush out more. At the same time a super-cropped plant will produce bigger buds at harvest time, than a plant where you did not do that. Somehow the plant reacts to being hurt by getting stronger and producing more! CHECK OUT THE VIDEO ABOVE TO SEE ME SUPER-CROP! 😎 I also took a video ONE DAY after the procedure (on DAY 49), in order to show how resilient the plant is and how much she immediately repairs herself. Already then the main top has turned and points upwards to the light again, ITS FANTASTIC TO SEE! Simply a miracle plant...

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend! The Strawberry Banana Auto from Fastbuds is starting to smell very good and starting to stack up nicely. She is only 26 inches tall but I feel like her colas are going to be quite thick. I did a light defoliation this morning and took off all the LST tie downs. She is looking super healthy and loving this Medic Grow Spectrum X. I currently have the Spectrum X running at 100% power and also integrating the UV/IR bars for 75 minutes just prior to lights off. I am super happy with this light so far, she puts out impressive PAR, and runs fairly cool. The only thing I would change is to add a timer just for the UV/IR bars, and allow the main light to be run on a timer. I will probably do one last light defoliation in the next couple of days and that will be about it other than keeping the reservoir full and in the correct PH range. The tomatoes outside are absolutely loving the runoff from these autos, as that is all they have had to drink since they were about 3 weeks old. Week 7 of flowering 10/30/24 Changed nutrients to fit week 7 Buds are getting even bigger and thicker. Last week PH drop happened again a couple of days after the major flush. PH in rootzone is getting lower every day. Runoff still at 10-20%, so no salt buldup, EC same as intake or litttle higher. Flushed again with FloraKleen and watered with TriPart Micro, Grow, Bloom with CalMag. Bought Potassium Bicarbonate and Calcium Carbonate as suggested by "Aqua Man", to buffer coco in the future. Day 50 from seed and everything looking well! I wish i dond LST on this but ohwell. Ive started adding more dosage of biobizz like its said in the chart. I put half a mill less. The light schedule is still 20/4. Not too impressed with the height but it should be fine. Ill update next wednesday for week 8! One Love
