Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. Nice week. Transition to center mass continues - the frost builds and the aromas are incredible. Purple berry kush - slight touch and the blast of berry kush. I showed it to a non smoker - he smelt it and said - smells like I shouldn’t be here 😂😂😂. Upcoming week will be weening off the finisher and phasing in for a full flush. Divergence on two plants in the tent as they were planted later so will keep the blooming fed.

High GD community, Week 9, Sweet Thai looking allready better then ĺast week. The topping start to grow gently and a full 13cm in height gained this week. Since 3 days(friday), the lightcycle changed into 13/11. Nonetheless spidermites are spotted on this lady, she doesnt back down. After a treathment with orio bugs, who i actually misordered because I didnt had my new microscope yet, trips are definitly gone, and orios do eat/attack spidermites, its not their favorite. So a second army of bugs, this time phyto mytes, its gonna be all about attack and digesting spidermites, Who didnt yet get crowdy so far. But after a check up of some leafs with the new microscope, i can see a lot of eggs and pretty active young spidermites. So the phytos will not come to early. Phytos do eat eggs as orios dont, so thats a big difference. 18/02: The plants sugar leaves are starting to turn yellow being a good sign they are nearly done. Added more cable ties as again the colas are getting too heavy for the actual stalks. Should be a good harvest. Few more days on the nutes then to flush.

This one has become the biggest of the 4 I have going at the moment. Possibly from the critical mass genetics, but idk lol. On the Biobizz grow now. Responding well to lst IMO, seeing a few tops now.

Day 39 from seed!! I’m exited to watch the explosive grow of this genetics soon i will be take some clones or each pheno to take the best and put in the next batch!!! Stay tuned

25 Sep 2021 Today I’m starting Week 12 of this grow, and I couldn’t be happier. My 3 Ladies are looking great! I’m not seeing any negative signs that they’re not loving the increased nutrients. 👍🏻 so far, so good. I’ve moved up to step 7 of my 6 - part Flora Trio feed chart. It doesn’t change anything, so I figured I might as well. They will be getting the same amount they received the last feeding. They received: CALiMAGic 2ml, FloraMicro 3.8ml, FloraGro 3.8ml, FloraBloom 4.2ml, Floralicious Plus 2ml, and Liquid KoolBloom 1ml. The initial pH of all 3 gallons was 6.2. I added 2.2ml of pH UP to each gallon which adjusted the pH to 6.7 in all 3 gallons. The runoff ph was different for each (of course). C1 was 5.8, C2 was 6.0, and C3 was 5.7. 🤷‍♂️ Everything is going great, so…… If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. I read an article about “popcorn buds” yesterday, and the importance of pruning them to get the main colas to fatten up better. I figured I’d give it a try, why not. Most of the popcorn buds go into the trim bag anyway, so why not, what do I have to lose? Hopefully not my perfectly healthy plants! The worry is hurting the plants more than helping them. I trimmed all of the small, lower branches off, as well as many of the smaller branches in the middle that don’t really receive any direct light. The stack was quite big once I was finished. You can see it on the video log I uploaded today. The temperature in the grow tent today was 84F, with humidity at 54%. I have the best of hope for a wonderful grow, but I just hope that they respond well to all of the trimming I’ve done today. We’ll have to just wait and see. Happy growing Growmies! 28 Sep 2021 What’s up Growmies! I have good news…. My plants are still alive and doing well! I was a little nervous after the last feeding and pruning session, but my babies are doing quite well. The last three days have shown an absolute explosion in pistil development all over all 3 plants! Some of the nodes are showing white and pink pistils, and their growth is lovely. They seem to be responding well to the full nutrient levels, but there are some mild signs of nutrient burn, but only on a few leaves. Most of the plants are still looking marvelous. I’m very happy with how they’re growing and to how they have responded to my trimming 3 days ago. I haven’t changed anything in their feeding from last time, so I’m just going to list it out here for you all to see. They each received the same amount in their own gallon of water. Each plant took the whole gallon, and the runoff was as expected. Each plant received: CALiMAGic 2ml, FloraMicro 3.8ml, FloraGro 3.8ml, FloraBloom 4.2ml, Floralicious Plus 2ml, and Liquid KoolBloom 1ml. The initial pH for all 3 was: 6.2, so I added 2.2ml’s of pH UP to each gallon which adjusted the pH to 6.7 for all 3 as well. My new TDS meter will be here Friday, so all I have for the runoff is the pH. C1 was 5.8, C2 was 6.0, and C3 was 5.6. I’m going to stop fretting over the runoff pH because it really doesn’t seem to matter a whole lot. However, I’ll still keep track of it nonetheless. The temperature in the tent today was 84F, and the humidity was 48%. See you in a couple days. Happy growing! 01 Oct 2021 Today I finally received my new TDS meter, and it stopped working after the first use! I was like, “Damn! WTF!!” For real, no bullshit. It sucks. Anyway; I just felt like sharing my woes with you all. Most likely it’s just me typing to myself. Today my lovely ladies got the same that they’ve been getting for the past couple weeks. CALiMAGic 2ml, FloraMicro 3.8ml, FloraGro 3.8ml, FloraBloom 4.2ml, Floralicious Plus 2ml, and Liquid KoolBloom 1ml. The initial pH of all 3 was 6.2. I added 2.2ml’s of pH UP to each gallon which adjusted the pH to 6.7 for all 3. The one time my new TDS meter worked, the TDS of C1 was 711 ppm. It stopped working after that. The runoff pH was C1 - 5.8, C2 - 6.1, and C3 - 5.7. The temperature in the tent was 84F, and humidity was 47%. My girls are looking wonderful, but there is some nutrient burn as I mentioned the other day. It hasn’t increased, which is good, but some of the larger fan leaves look like they’re losing a little color. The pistils all over the buds are growing even more, and the light pink hairs are now becoming numerous. They’re very pretty and look healthy. I’m smoking their Mother right now, which gives me happy thoughts for a wonderful harvest of her children soon to come. 😍🤞 I moved them all out of the tent briefly today for some cleanup and repositioning. They look good standing alone as much as when they’re together. I moved the fans around to give them more space and to improve ventilation and light distribution. I also did some LST on C1 and C2. I tied some of their longer, yet lower branches up to make them look up to the light instead of being toward the side. 🤷‍♂️ we’ll see if it makes a difference or not. Non mi aspettavo una produzione così esagerata di resina, davvero questa volta Fastbuds ha fatto un salto di qualità eccezionale con queste nuove genetiche foto periodiche! Hanno un odore di frutti tropicali davvero spettacolare, e i fiori sono davvero così invitanti che ti viene voglia di mangiarteli all istante! Non vedo l ora di provare a firmarli a sentire l essenza magnifica di queste genetiche fenomenali, l unica cosa è che i fiori sono un po' piccoli rispetto a quello che sono abituato, magari è xke avendoli fatto fare troppa vegetativa,nn hanno avuto magari la possibilità di esprimersi al meglio e ricevere una luce nn troppo intensa che li porti a stressarsi troppo e fare tanti piccoli fiori piuttosto che pochi e grandi, ma in ogni caso la produzione di resina è davvero qualcosa che raramente ho visto ultimamente... Speriamo che continuino ad ingtossarsi ma penso che ancora una settimana di fertilizzanti, poi inizio a dare il finale clean di Terra Aquatica che mi porterà a pulire per bene il prodotto finale da tutti i sali e nutrienti che magari rimangono dentro i fiori e gli danno un gusto amaro, io spero davvero di essere in tempo per fare una bella pulizia interiore Dell intera pianta, il 31 gennaio farò l. 👉With each day it grows a noticeable amount. Its staying short and the leaves are actually touching the media on the lower set. Its actually on its 3rd node, and i will probably top it on the 4rth. I lowered the light from 36 to 24". This week i will lower it again to 18". The plant is short but its growth is still vigorous enough. under the leaves there is vegitation emerging as well. I like the fact that its staying short, I will probably need every inch of of my tent so the longer its stays short and grows like a bush, the better. 👉Im doing the week 3 nutrient schedule for another week because week 3 is the highest levels of grow nutrient. My EC target is 1.7 and is near the high end of the recommended range. I usually start with 2 gallons and then mix and pH the batch. If the EC is high I then ad pHd/calmag/ArmorSI water to lower the EC to the desired range. Im feeding 1 liter of nutrient solution and the runoff is an average of .6l. I give this 2x a day. The EC is slowly creeps up over 3-4 days and when it gets to 25 to 30+ EC I use a liter of rinse solution before the next fertigation. the rinse solution is same water source as the nutrient mix, (RO water at 5 micro-Siemens from a medical grade RO unit) with Armor SI and Calmag pH's to 5.9. The machine isnt at my house so I mule the water in 6 gallon water carriers. Eventually the plant will be big enough that more solution is needed at each feeding. During the Critical Purple and Hindu grows, the EC would actually never guild up because the plants were absorbing a lot of the nutrients. I will gauge the needed inflow volume of nutrient solution by the amount of run-off. Currently 1 liter is what I determined is the minimum needed to keep the coco wet and buffered. As the plant absorbs more water the drain off will decrease. I will target 20-30% run-off from inflow volume. EC value also determines inflow volume but to save on mixed nutrients I like to precede a feeding with the rinse solution if the EC is too high. 👉I disinfect the water jugs 1 time a week with 1% bleach. I disinfect my nutrient solution dispensing jugs at each batch mixing. My watering can and measuring vessel, I rinse with the H2O2 spray at each use. 👉To help keep the grow clean I have a 1 gallon garden sprayer filled with water and 60ml of H2O2. The recipe is usually just 30ml/gallon, but I wanted it a little stronger. I spray the exterior of my cloth pot once a week to rinse of the build up nutrients and prevent mold, mildew and green fungus. I also use the spray to disinfect the drain trays as I swap them out after a feeding. I have a couple dozen white wash cloths that I use to help clean and dry things. I use fresh wash cloth each day, and keep everything as clean as possible.
