Jbjibman Winter came (back) in Germany :( The next days night temps arent expected to decrease below Zero. So I decided to take the next step using an old Aquarium. NL will stay in the courtyard for now AS the pot is to big. Update: Day 24 All three plants are in the Garden now. Hopefully compost tea will help them catch up growing

Jbjibman Outdoor growing in Germany is war nowadays. Spring is rainy as ****. The slugs are nearly everywhere. Im using a variety of measures (Copper tape, copper wire, snail collar, coffee, sand, straw) against them but none is 100% safe. At least defoliation is already done i guess🙈 Ants were a small problem too. Blumat is working fine so far. Northern Lights and Sunset sherbet are beasts, still alive after all this struggles including temps below 0 C°. Still hoping for a massive yield 🤣 Keep growing ✌️

Jbjibman Hey its still far to rainy in Germany. Our friends the Slug Army is still at war. As all of you know cannabis is a dangerous drug thus i am providing an addiction shift for my friends. They get some beer and i'll hope they can beat their cannabis addiction. Hopefully NL and Sunset Sherbet can flower peacefully now. Strawberry Cough is still alive too, but due to the Grow medium (expanded clay) without any nutrients, there was no growth a all. Plan to make it a swimming plant in the pont was not possible (2much slugs, no time) But at least i got some hints that slugs dont like expanded clay. I will investigate that in upcoming growing projects. I dont like killing animals at all. I feel even bad for killing slugs, but there is really no other way if you want to avoid chemicals and pesticides Beer seems to be the way. And most slugs are invasive spanish slugs without any Predators here. The plague ist real. Keep growing ✌️.

Jbjibman The slugs still keep getting to the plants :( damage to NL is disastrous. I had to do a forced lollipopping to remove the damaged parts and slug shit. Added 2 more layers of copper tape direct to the stems. Hopefully that works. I will Not give Up. ✌️ Keep Growing. And pls pls pls no more rain ;)

Jbjibman Waiting for the trichomes to become Brown (30%) and Milky (60%). Harvest time for Sunset sherbet is near. Sepparated NL as it looks a bit Strange (perhaps hermaphrodite) What a Journey;) Every Gram of harvest will be success. Outdoor Growing is Special 🙈😎. Dont worry keep Growing ✌️ Update:A wise girl (thx @Mrs_Larimarhat) told me NL is a girl. So it's back next to her friends. Did some LST to provide for better airflow and sunlight surface. Hopefully it works ;)

Jbjibmanstarted grow question 2y ago
Hello Growies, i need Help with my Northern Lights (Auto) 12th week. It looks really strange. (Not only because of slug damage and therefore defoliation) NL survived temperatures below 0 C°, weeks with too much rain and no sun , slug and ant damage. There was some stress ;)

Jbjibman Mild smell (dominant weed but slight hayish) I love it.😂 It tastes really light and soft. Buds are fluffy not really compact. Im high though. It works :) Vaped at 195 °C. The rest will stay in the tent for a little longer (Snap time). Harvest wont be more than 5-10g but I'm fine with that. Just the fact they survived is a success. What a journey. Murphy at its best 🙈😂Hopefully weather will become more dry. Drying Tent is standing outside under a roof and humidity is too high at the moment. Found no mold or strange smell. First owngrown successfully accomplished. Next run will be epic 😎 Never give up. Don't worry. Keep Growing✌️.

Survived apocalypse. Slugs, thunderstorms, ants, frost, rain, rain, rain. Due to mold I had to cut of big parts of this already really small plant. Very resistant and humble plant. Easy to grow. First tasting was great Fruity citrus flavor. Chilled High not to strong. More Energizing that couch lock.

Hey! I'm also growing outdoors, at least part-time. 😉 Before the ladies were put outside, I had to notice with cucumbers, lettuce, etc. that this year's snail invasion left malicious traces. So I bring the ladies inside overnight... also because of the low temperatures at night. It's a bit of a hassle, but it saved me a lot of frustration! Additionally, I've spread Neudorff Ferramol snail pellets in the area of the garden where the vegetables are and where the ladies will be standing continuously in 1-2 weeks. Hoping to thin out the army of snails by then. 😅 But it looks good what you're growing there! Have fun with the growing!!! Greetings from the Eifel ✌️

@Grower2, a fence against snails 🤣 very strong. If in doubt, I'll get back to it. Anyway, thank you very much for the guide. Keep Growing and good luck ✌️ hopefully summer is coming soon.

@Jbjibman, get yourself some runner ducks, they're great against snails, and they also keep an eye on the garden... good luck! 😁👍💪

Jbjibman commented2y ago
@SnakeGrow, thank you very much. Yes, running ducks would be great. But I still need to put up a fence and set up a coop first. Maybe an option for next year 👍

I really feel for you, I had to go through all that with my lettuce last year and I even got myself an ultra-modern greenhouse, but even that has some critters sneaking in, so I also spread pet-friendly snail bait inside just to be safe, which has really helped. I hope you get rewarded with extra thick buds for all the effort. The plants already look really good.
Jbjibman
Jbjibman commented2y ago
@losgehts, thanks ;) . I think next year I'll treat myself to a greenhouse, then maybe I'll get some veggies out of it too.

Gisbert commentedweek 82y ago
I even have snail problems on my rooftop terrace on the first floor despite the greenhouse. I collect between 30 and 40 of those slimy bastards every evening. I wish you good luck with your grow, success in controlling the plague, and may sunny times come our way soon! 😎

Try using a beer trap near your plants. It's not the prettiest solution, but with a pest problem like that, you can let it slide a bit.
Jbjibman
Jbjibman commented2y ago
@Chris12054, hey chris. Thanks, I actually didn't want to use traps like that, but the weather and the resulting snail plague leave me no other choice. It's working ;)
Chris12054
Chris12054 commented2y ago
@Jbjibman, awesome that it's working for you! I think the combination of the 9V battery and the beer trap is great. It's really crazy what's happening with you. Wishing you continued success!

@RakonGrow, I really thought it was a White Widow at first. But it seems to be a variable crab spider. Hopefully, it catches a few pests. I uploaded another photo for you ✌️

Update week 14-15 for NL. Weather is too rainy slugs are everywhere and there is mold at least on one stem. Even I saw it coming and did some stretching and LST to provide for more airflow and lighting. Removed the moldy parts
the end.
