7/11- Second official week of flower is here. I gave her about a quart of water today. Not much else to report. she's doing well! 7/12- I've done nothing to her today. She's still looking great! 7/13- I gave her about a half gallon of water today after I found burned tips on my leaves. Anyone reading this willing to confirm if this is nutrient burn? I'm sure it is, and I'm wondering if I should even feed before I defoliate on the 17th. This might change but as of right now I might only feed bloom nutes when I defoliate. Took her out of the wardrobe a few hours after watering which is why the leaves look depressed. Seems she always slumps with a heavy water. But I was able to get a better look at her flowers, and OH MY GOD. I cant believe how beautiful these neon purple buds are! 7/14- Today I found yellowing leaves on the bottom and they just kind of popped off with a gentle touch. This kind of spooked me. I landed on the conclusion that they probably weren't getting enough light and the plant started taking the nutrients out of those leaves. So I decided to defoliate today. I don't want the lower leaves to fall off cause they aren't getting light. I want those lower bud sites to develop too, so I cut the leaves that were blocking the most light into the plant, allowing the plant to get some energy down lower. I didn't get too crazy but I did remove a good amount. I will likely continue to prune leaves over the next few days but its mostly gonna remain natural growth from this point on. 7/15- Watered a quart this morning. Seems like she's really drinking a lot. The buds are starting to get fat. The buds are really pink! 7/16- God drunk last night and turned the light down to take pictures of the bud.... My dumbass never turned it back up. So today about midway though its day cycle I noticed and turned it back up. 7/17- Some leaves are yellowing. I think its a K deficiency. I cant feed today, soil is still too wet. Will probably feed tomorrow.

Der neue Chiller ist ein echter Wendepunkt für meinen Anbau! Er hat einen signifikanten Unterschied sowohl bei der Wassertemperatur als auch bei der pH-Stabilität gemacht. Ich habe einen 15-Liter-Wasserwechsel durchgeführt und die alte Lösung durch frisches Wasser und Nährstoffe ersetzt. Der pH-Wert ist jetzt stabil zwischen 6,1 und 6,3, und der EC-Wert liegt konstant bei 1,95. Ich bin wirklich zufrieden damit, wie gut sich die Blüten bilden. Die Pflanze selbst ist sehr kompakt geblieben, was großartig ist. Ich freue mich darauf, den weiteren Fortschritt zu sehen!

(Days 15-21) (Day 21) Everything is looking really good this week. I got my MH hooked up and dimmed to 250w. Plants are responding very well. Not a single sign of yellowing and plants are all a nice healthy green. I covered up the transparent solo cups with some newspaper as the roots are starting to pool around the bottom of the cups. I’m going to transplant everything into 2gal pots with my inoculated 50/50 coco blend sometime next week. There is a nice layer of mycorrhizal fungi starting to coat the surface now. Blackberry breath #1 is still looking oddly deformed still but I am concluding it’s genetic. Going to be trying this ‘Boogie Brew’ tea stuff in the next few days as well. I’m pretty sure the leaf discoloring I saw that one day was from using unstable RO water. I am making sure to stabilize all water with rain/snow/brita before watering. It seems to have cleared up in a just a few days of proper water. I didn’t get around to getting a c02 canister this week but I will grab it at the same time I get those 2gal nursery pots. I’m shocked at how well the air pump is helping the bbb#2. It is always the perkiest plant in the tent and despite being a runt, it’s already outpacing most of the others in terms of new growth. I guess air is an often overlooked factor when growing. Hopefully the coco blend will help get things a little more aerated when I transplant. Been thinking I’m going to just veg until they all show sex and then flip them. (Day 17) I gave my first pest/mold prevention spray today. I then raised the light all the way up to the top of the tent for a few hours. Plants responded well and no spots, burn ect. I’m also going to give my first top dressing today. I’m using my new organic dry amendments scratched into the surface of the solo cups with some added promix as a layer of mulch. I don’t want to see any yellowing at all in veg this run. I fucked up hard last time so I’m going to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Finally it’s harvest time!! I will be drying in a 55% humidity level!

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s, they are hanging and drying now. The 3rd is definitely looking better than the first 2. I think the first 2 will probably be turned into edibles, rather than smoked. The 3rd is looking much better overall and especially in terms of bud development, she will probably be smoked. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Just topped it couldnt wait for it to get to 5-6 nodes. Was getting big looking healthy and at 4. So I topped it at the 3rd node the 4th was big enought to use as a cutting got 5 all together gave them to my dad he likes gardening not smoking. And there is a picture of all the plants in my tent the royal gorilla. Two mango sapphire in the darker pots. A chocolate haze is the more mature of the lighter pots. The seedling is a white widow that's going outside probably not the late June early July.

Another record for veg time thanks to the solar lights...there was a lot of rain this week but she is surviving. I am looking forward to switching her to flower anytime soon.
