Day 2 -begin flushing

Day 28-35 (May 28th - June 4th) (Day 29) My rooted blackberry #3 clone looks like it’s finally starting to reveg. It’s starting to stretch it’s internodes but no new growth yet. Nearly all 9 are pushing roots now. What a waste of time taking clones in flower! Won’t ever do that again. Grapefruit #1 has a twin! I thought it was just an odd formation on the taproot but two seedlings are pushing out. I wonder if it will be genetically identical. It’s definitely slower growing than the other one so who knows. I will try to train them apart when the time comes. (Day 30) I think the EC/PPMs are too high on nearly every plant including my veggies. The promix is actually really hot for a “blank” medium coming in at 1800. Adding compost and amendments to that is probably raising it to 2500+ at least. It should self balance the more I water it but I know for a fact I can get better growth by leaching the soil around each plant. Next time I use promix for anything, I’m going to prewash it like coco coir and add a dash of oyster shell flour for pH and calcium. (Day 32) Purple tuna is now big enough to start lst on now. I’m going to wait a little while for the slurricanes. (Day 33) One of the grapefruits has a twin that actually popped... I’m going to leave it and see how she turns out (Day 35) I’m going to prune off the lower leaves on each plant. I was going to lst Purple tuna but it’s so vigorous I may as well just top/mainline it. Autoflowers are looking established and should be taking off this week. I wonder if this will give them enough time to veg into decent sized plants before they flower. I won’t be topping or even doing lst. My goal is 22 big spear colas from each plant. I’m going to get all my rooted clones into 1.7 gallon pots over the next week or so.

Gotta say I’m absolutely LOVING this blumat system now that I got it dialed in after absentmindedly changing the settings when I first got it. Soil moistness is getting to low 40’s. I turned the valve back a smidge to get it into the 50’s at its moistest. New fan leaves are looking a little funky. Thinking I may have overdone it on the amendments maybe when I transplanted. Other than that things seem to be going well. Gonna scrog her out for a few weeks then flip. I need to get those temps up to get some quicker veg growth. That’s the main downside to having my tent in my basement.

So there is actually very little work this week .. She has been a real joy to grow so far.. I do understand what they meant by pheno-hunting...

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Week 4 Update: Plant Growth: Noticed some plants lagging behind by 5-9 days, so I've been focusing on giving extra care to these ones. Implemented Low Stress Training (LST) on the stronger plants, particularly the Gorilla Glue and Gelato varieties, to encourage more even growth. Weather has been a mixed bag – occasional bursts of sunlight, but mostly rainy days. To compensate, I've set up a makeshift box with LED lights to ensure the plants get consistent light exposure. Nutrient Management: Adjusted feeding schedule to once every 2-3 days to provide a balanced mix of nutrients. Using a combination of guano, worm tea, and Grow NPK Autogrow mix to feed the plants, which seems to be working well so far. Considering adding Cal-Mag to the mix to ensure the plants are getting all the nutrients they need for healthy growth. Observations: Despite my efforts, I can't shake the feeling that some of the plants might be experiencing slower growth than expected. It's a bit frustrating, but I'm staying patient and hopeful that they'll catch up soon. Looking Ahead: As I prepare for the next batch of seeds, I'm already thinking about the lessons I've learned from this experience and how I can apply them to future grows. Despite the challenges, I'm feeling optimistic about the future and looking forward to seeing how these plants continue to develop in the coming weeks.

I just cant believe how big they are. I personally have never had an auto-flower get this big. The tallest one is 61 inches, Most are right around 55 inches and my shortest one is 36 inches. There isn't much I can say about this week. I am feeding my fish 3x per day still Still defoliating as needed They are happy and healthy and going strong

Studio Cherry - Wizard Trees Week 5 Bloom 🌸 Great week for the Studio Cherry, she's developed nice sized nugs and is still working on bulking, she is also starting to show signs of maturity on her top most flower! Her scent has also come in, fresh morello cherry with a citrus kick; very pleasant! ✂️ No work again this week, she has good airflow and light is penetration to the lower budsites👌🏻 💧 Watered every three days with 3L of RO water - nutrients were mixed individually, in order and then finally pH'd to 6.3. I've altered her nutrients again to keep up with her flower production. 💡 PPFD: ~800 ♒ VPD: 1.55kPa 🌱 Days from seed: 98 🌸 Days in Bloom: 37

Videos were taken on day 37 of flower. The mac x peanut butter breath plants are looking great ones in the back left and ones in the back middle towards the right side. They have more orange pistils at this point than all the other plants and are packing on the frost. I gave all the plants just plain water with herculean harvest, enzymes and humic acids last feed and flushed it a little but and it seemed to respond well. The rocstar breaths are frosty too and smell gassy. Also, I just checked some of my DMs on here and theres alot that I've never responded to, I dont check them unless it's from a business. I put in a few diaries a while ago if anyone has any questions for me to ask them in the comment section or a journal that way people with the same or similar questions can see it and I dont have to answer the same thing 8 times. Both are unique in their own dank way. Same issue with critical tho low bud structure . its definitely Going to be better to cut the top when they're done and let the lower grow continue for a week or so . Day 40 Flowering Cookies Gelato Been bizzy trying to get cookies gelato under the microscope is quite a task . The best way for me is to cut 😱😱😱 something off and lay it down. it works but still need to fine tune it a little better but amazing what you can see up close 👀 some leafes had a lot of ambers on it but the buds (not photography) are still clear so it has some way to go still. Day 41 end of week 6 of Flowering Week 6 is over Growmies what a wonderful week!!! Getting the microscope under control and starting to see the milkyway . But still a lot of clear trichomes so i will wait with flush this week .
