O.G. Kush / Moby / Cookies Royal Queen Seeds - ScurvyDude
I am noticing a mutation on one of the cookies gelato. Will let it run and see what happens!
Watering every other day or every third day with nutrients every other watering.
Week 4 Update
This week, I began scrogging the taller plants. Although I missed one picture of the OG Kush grown indoors, I'll update that later. I moved two plants, OG Kush and Cookies Gelato, outdoors to the greenhouse. I may move a third plant, Royal Moby, outdoors as well to compare the yield differences.
All plants that were started from seed are thriving. I ordered an additional light, the 150-watt Vivosun 150SE, which will be installed in a couple of days. I started with a 3x3 tent but upgraded to a 4x4. Although the lighting is currently a bit underpowered, the single light is providing enough for the plants to continue thriving. As I approach the flowering stage, I plan to expand to four 150SE Vivosun lights.
I also wanted to mention my experience with soil. Initially, I used Fox Farm in the past, but for the start of this grow I switched to Mother Earth Terracraft soil when I found 2 cu ft bags reduced from to . I couldn't pass up the savings, and I'm extremely happy with the performance of this soil.
Left on a short couple day vacation and plants appear a bit stressed. an OG Kush was nearly dried out and pissed off. Everything should bounce back that’s in the tent. Outdoors looking great!
You may have noticed that I have two outdoor plants that I am not training and letting grow freely in my 7-foot-tall greenhouse. This is an experiment to see what happens and how large the single cola will get. They have really taken off outside. Considering it’s July 12th and we still have a ways until a great Minnesota fall harvest I am excited to see what happens.
The rest of the plants are undergoing low-stress training.
I have one plant indoors that is already budding and on an 18-hour light schedule. I am wondering if Royal Queen Seeds might have mixed an auto-flowering Cookies Gelato by mistake, or if the early budding is due to the stress it experienced during the last two weeks (I went on a short vacation, and it got really dry, after which I overwatered it).
The plants were a bit stressed during the previous two weeks after I added an additional light to the tent. I reduced the LED output to 66% and have been using Recharge once a week for the past two weeks. The indoor plants appear to be bouncing back.
I also discovered that the Cookies Gelato from Royal Queen Seeds was an auto-flowering plant in a non-auto seed pack (I had to double-check the pack and order to confirm). No complaints! It just means an early harvest for both the indoor and outdoor plants.
If you have been following my diary, you may know I appear to have an auto that started flowing during an 18 hour light schedule. Although the package came as a cookies gelato feminized seed (not an auto) but all indication sure appears to be an auto. Just an added bonus for a quick harvest, no complaints and love the looks of the genetics on the cookies gelato.
It's been a challenging couple of weeks, but things are looking up! After some LED light stress due to an additional led light being added, the plants have rebounded beautifully. Last week, I gradually increased the light intensity from 67% to 80%, and we're now into the second week of a reduced 12-hour light schedule. Every strain is thriving, and the tent is filling out nicely.
The bonus auto-flower is particularly impressive, budding out at an incredible rate. A bit of LST has led to some stunning bud sites. The smell is strong, and the sticky resin is already starting to show—promising signs of a great yield ahead!
Side note: Took pictures and videos with the tent lights off and camera light. It looks like an entirely different plant. The Trichomes reflect so much stronger with the cell LED when staring straight on.
I’m thrilled with how everything is going! This is my first grow in nearly 30 years, and I couldn't be happier—especially with the genetics from Royal Queen Seeds. The Cookies Gelato strain is developing beautifully, with an incredible aroma and trichome production that’s off the charts.

Well, not much has changed, so it's kind of like 'same same but different' around here. The plants are still vibing, doing their thing, just with a little more oomph this week.
The garden is thriving! OG KUSH, Royal Moby, and Cookies Gelato are seriously some of the dankest strains out there—each one bursting with that perfect terpene profile and loaded with resinous THC. These plants are incredible, and the grow is really starting to shine. The nutrients got a little too hot last week, so I dialed the lights back by 15%, but no worries—they’re already bouncing back, just like they always do. Gave them a little Recharge today to boost the microbes, and I’ll be flushing with just water for a couple of days to keep everything balanced. These buds are going to be something special!
I’ve been a bit behind on posting, but everything is still going strong at day 135, with trichomes just starting to cloud up. I did harvest the Cookies Gelato, but honestly, it wasn’t my favorite grow. It was tough chopping both a gifted Humboldt Orange Cream Pop clone and the Cookies Gelato at the same time. The Humboldt absolutely dominated—it wasn’t even a fair fight.
