Well I let them go on for another week in the end and I don’t know whether I’m just used to the smell but I definitely have noticed a decline in the loudness of these girls. I’m not ‘flushing’ as much as just giving them water and terpinator for the last couple of weeks to help them fade and finish off. More amber trichomes than I usually have, so these are perfectly ripe I’d say. The additional lights I added to the bottom of the plants definitely worked in maturing the buds but they also made them foxtail and push out pistils and seemed a bit forced. Also needed to account for the extra heat that 3 x small LED strips (approx 25w) so I decided as I wound down the main light to 10.5/13.5 I would turn those off entirely for the last few days. Decided to harvest all the plants together simply because it makes my life easier, believe it or not? Even though the Gorilla Zkittlez could’ve perhaps gone another week even. Oh well. Drying and curing is always an anxious time for me and the aromas are not as pungent as I’d hoped, but let’s hope this bud comes out nice because as this has been a long run due to the cold weather hampering veg early on.

Last week we noticed one of the ladies had begun to show sex. A couple calyxes with barely visible white hairs coming out of them. Seeing as there's no electricity where the garden is located we opted for a 1500 lumen LED lantern, that we turn on at 11:pm every night for about 40 minutes to and hour. This seemed to have done the trick as no more hairs have been seen and the vegging process is back on track.

Hey everyone, Day 14 and things are going ok so far. I put all the plants in a pop up greenhouse so I could add some humidity. Hoping for some good growth this week as weather continues to be nice.

About that time !!!!

7/7 17 days old. Calling this her first week of veg. She did not appear to be growing much for a few days after being transplanted. However in the last couple of days she has been putting on height. Now that she is growing again it seemed like a good time to top her. Topped her at the fifth node. A few of my previous grows I topped at the single leaves. This gave me two main branches that I just tied down. Then let all the branches grow up. Gave me a very uniform plant. 7/9 She has a very healthy dark green color. Her branches almost immediately started growing after being topped. I can see the difference in 2 days. Her nodes are very close together. 7/10. This lady has huge tits/leaves. Her leaves are so big they’re blocking out the light for the branches. I used some coat hanger to pull the leaves out of the way. Really her leaves are huge for her age. They’re almost the size of my hands and I’m 6,3. I pulled 1 leaf off to help open her up some. I will do some reading on this strain. I believe as she gets older she will look more sativa. Right now she looks heavy indica. 7/11 She broke ground 21 days ago. She graduated into veg 4 days ago. This plant is growing very nicely. 7/14 25 days old. Gave her water with liquid kelp. Her branches are quickly growing to the top. Would love to do some defoliation but I’m not. Other than a few 3 blade leaves in the center. Absolutely love her dark green color. So far the living soil is doing a great job. The company says just water. We will see. Ethos Genetics is top shelf. My friend grows mostly Ethos and these plants are just amazing. I was hunting for old school so I didn’t grow any Ethos until now. Old school is gone. I have never saw buds like these Ethos. This plant needs to come out close to or better than my friends. She is growing in organic living soil and her color is great. The only thing I added was myco supreme on her roots. The next time I water her she will get some liquid kelp and humic acid. The plant is relying on the living soil to eat. So I want to make sure her root system is very healthy and able to process nutrients.

Start of Week 9 - Day 57 06/28: The ladies are looking amazing! Aaliyah and Alexis have a lot of buds coming up. Annie is starting her stretch, so I’ve been moving around some of the leaves that are blocking the light to the cola branches. As of now she’s standing at 20” from the top of the coco. Alexis is now at 27” and Aaliyah has reached a height of 30” from the top of the coco. That height definitely caught me off guard! Still keeping waterings at every day and a half and EC and pH levels in runoff are good. A few of the lower leaves on the plants have yellowed and withered up, but I think it’s just the plants themselves getting rid of leaves that aren’t getting light. Overall the ladies are looking great! Can’t wait to see how much progress they make this week. 06/30: Checked in the gals and by my surprise they have all grown two inches. Aaliyah is now 32” tall and has pretty much grown into the light. Luckily I went with the LEDs so there’s not much heat. Hand up to the light is still cooler than the sun on some days. Her buds have started forming and are now covered with pistils. Annie is still creeping her way into flowering and is now at 22”. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is now at 29”. I have to admit, I was worried Alexis wasn’t going to do well. She didn’t look as healthy as the other two when she was a seedling. But that has changed. She looks extremely healthy and although she is in a 3-gallon pot and isn’t as big as Aaliyah, she still has a lot of buds sites coming up. I’m glad she made it. More for the yield. 07/02: Watered the ladies. EC levels in runoff are good. pH in Aaliyah’s runoff is a little low, so I’m going to keep an eye on her. She’s now at 34” tall, but I tied her down. It was either this, or no light. Hopefully she takes it okay. Her buds are really starting to grow. Annie is now at 24”. She is currently on her stretch. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is at 32” and looking great. As of now I’ve seen no pests inside the tent, or on the trap I put up. But I did see a few flies while watering that looked more like fruit flies than fungus gnats. Hopefully they are and the pest problem is solved. 07/04: The ladies keep growing! Aaliyah is now at 33” because of the new bending, Alexis is at 34” (I just bent her main cola down), and Annie is at 25 1/2”. With Alexis at 34” she has also passed my light. Since Aaliyah seems to be doing okay with the bending, I decided to bend Alexis down as well. Annie is going into her stretch. Found a dead fly in tray and a live one on the trap. I guess my problems continue. I gave the ladies a good amount of water (4500mL for Annie!) and am going to leave the next watering for two days now. Hopefully this can help. The bud smells like candy in a jar! Very impressed with how this lady turn out, took her a little while for the buds to fatten up but I’m glad I gave her a little extra time because she definitely filled out more! Buds are extremely dense & sticky and definitely has a couch lock high! Can’t wait to grow this again using a full nutrient line & see how she does! Diaries updated daily so please check back! Welcome to day 1 of week 4 aka day 22 since breaking ground. Nesia continues to impress, being by far the most advanced plant for her age that I have grown so far. I am very excited for this week in particular. She is following Karen's pattern exactly, except without the three week bad start. By the end of this week I expect she will be 50cm in diameter at least. Day 22.5: Performed LST on secondary nodes. Day 23.5: Fertigated. Adjusted pot and added risers. Performed some brutal LST. She's growing almost completely horizontal now. My plan is to train her around the pot circumference. She's currently about where Karen was at the end of week 5. She is consistently 10-11 days ahead of Karen so far. Exciting. Brutal LST honestly I'm basically torturing her at this point. Day 23.75: Fertigated 3l Day 24: Nesia has put on a lot of foliage growth in the last 24h. I am noticing a pattern here with defoliating, it seems that the plants seem to alternate between focusing on foliage growth and focusing on height. I am starting to think regular defoliation may reduce internode distance and stretching. I am going to test this theory a bit by letting both Nesia and Misty grow a bit now before I further LST the primary node. Removed a few fan leaves. Day 26: Reconfigured tent. See video. Nesia now has more light. Incidentally, I believe I have now corrected the Magnesium deficiency, colour is looking great, growth accelerating rapidly. I did say this would be an even bigger week than last and it is certainly shaping up that way. Fertigated 2l. Day 27: Performed major LST and minor defoliation. Nesia is really growing well. She fills the big pot already. I severaly pruned the companion plants to make room for Nesia. I also reorganised the tents and configuration again while installing upgrades. New reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Airflow and light both increased and optimised. See video. Day 28: Nesia has responded quite strongly to the LST and defoliation yesterday. Nesia has not been watered for 48h. I am doing a short "dry spell" for all the plants. End of week summary: Well what a great week for Nesia. She hid a lot of her growth under massive leaves until the LST on day 27. I was pretty hard with her, and I aslo defoliated. She saved us a big surprise for the end of the week. Can you believe the response 24h later? That is quite shockingly good adaptation. I am certain that the reason she responds so strongly, is because by now, the end of week 4, she is well used to this regular process. Every time I have done LST and/or defoliation she has responded quicker and more vigorously. Nesia is going to far, far exceed Karen in size if she keeps up at this rate. Overall I couldn't be much more pleased with Nesia. She is an absolute star and I am already thinking a possible future diary of the month winner. I have been extremely impressed with Fast Buds genetics so far.

So there's a few things going on here. First, im not entirely sure if this is amnesia. I started 3 grows at the same time and have forgotten to label them when i've repotted them. This is the most sativa out of the batch of 3 (others are girl scout cookies and monster skittlez) and its supposed to flower for 12 weeks or something like that. However, this is week 7 of flower (or possibly 8, still finding it difficult to pinpoint that) and looking at the trichromes i have a feeling that she is ready for harvest. I'm hoping you guys can help me out here - so theres two questions id like to ask: - does this look like an amnesia fotoperiod plant? and, - according to the trichrome shots : is she about ready for harvest? thanks!
