🌱 Animal Mints — Week 6 From Seed (≈ Week 2 Flower / Pre-Flower Phase) Quick Recap for New Readers This run includes multiple Animal Mints plants, all treated similarly, but we’re mainly cataloging two reference plants to clearly show how timing affects structure and development: • Plant A → 12/12 from seed • Plant B → ~15 days under 16/8 veg, then flipped to flower Same genetics, same room, same feeding — different timelines. That’s the whole experiment. ⸻ Plant A vs Plant B — Why Two Plants? • Plant A (12/12 from seed) • More compact • Slower early structure • Responds very well to gentle leaf bending and light training • Still stretching and stacking nicely • Plant B (short veg period) • Bigger frame • More developed branching • Further along in flower at the same “seed age” • Took light cleanup / lollipopping better This small veg window made a huge difference in structure and flower progression, and that’s exactly why we’re documenting both. ⸻ ✂️ Canopy Work (No Heavy Defoliation) This week we did selective leaf removal, not a true defoliation: • Opened airflow and light paths • Removed shaded or blocking leaves • Light lollipopping on Plant B only • Plant A kept mostly intact, just leaf bending and spacing Goal wasn’t stress — it was space, airflow, and efficiency. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update • Day Temp: ~28°C (successfully raised) • Humidity: ~65% • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on height & position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm (now stabilizing around 909 ppm) As outside temps stayed cooler, the room naturally became its own heat source: • Increased plant mass • Higher light intensity • Under-canopy lighting added No forced heaters. No extremes. Just letting the system balance itself. 🌬️ Airflow • Vortex extraction • Multiple cross-flow fans • Constant gentle movement No leaf chaos — just steady motion. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy This week marks a clear transition phase. • EC: ~2.4 • pH: 6.5 (transitioning down — all feeds now 6.0+) Why Higher pH Right Now? As plants move into flower, nutrient demand shifts: • Better Ca / Mg uptake • Stronger phosphorus & potassium availability • Root activity increases Slightly higher pH at this stage supports structural growth and flower formation, especially under higher light and CO₂. Day 37 from seed. 2nd day into week 6. -My focus for this week is to keep room temperatures under 75 degrees since I notice that my roots don’t like high nutrients temp. And since I m in DWC single 5 gallons bucket I don’t have the possibility to chill the water. So I have to keep the room temp lower then I wish to. - Day 41- I have to add nutrients and PH down every 12 hours. My PPM’s goes from 450 to 390 and my PH drift from 5.7 to 6.2 in less then 12 hours. Also I notice some rust on older levels (probably Ca/Mg deficiency). After some research (I’m new to this) I decided to up the nutrients to 600 PPM’s. Hopefully is a good decision. I will really appreciate some feedback.

18 plants, 5 strains. Each plant has 3 main buds. By means of LST I tried to make them all the same height. Because the plants have now stopped growing, leading is no longer necessary. The plants are still attached to the plant sticks with tie strips to support the buds when they get heavy later on. Lots and large leaves, and therefore a weekly large defoliation every week. The trichomes begin to appear. . The Garlic Mist plants are not that beautiful and do not have a nice flower formation. Plenty of leaves; so a lot of defoliation work. GM # 1 - 92cm - lots of leaves, Even after defoliation, the buds are actually hidden behind the leaves. GM # 6 - 76cm - better leaf / bud ratio than # 1, but the buds don't get that fat either GM # 7 - 79cm - can be compared to # 6 but buds are better developed.

Flowering day 12 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone ☺️. Once again a wonderful week goes by 😀. It has developed so far and is now slowly starting to develop its flowers :-). As soon as the first forms of buds can be seen (I think in 5-10 days) 2 g GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Bloom per liter of substrate are added. In the third week, 1 g per liter of substrate is added so that it lasts through to the end :-). This week it was poured 3 times with 1 liter each 👍. The entire tent was also cleaned and the electronics checked for functionality. The humidifier was refilled every day and fresh osmosis water was drained into the tank for the coming week ☺️. The plants have all been checked for health and pests 👍. Next week the bamboo sticks are inserted towards the end for support and the lowest shoots are removed so that at the end the energy is not wasted in the lower area 👍. Ciao ragazzi e bentornati qui per una nuova settimana al Limone 🍋 Ancora 20 cm questa settima e sembra voler continuare!🔝 La pianta numero 1, che è la prima a vedersi nei video, grazie all Lst ha sviluppato diverse apicali ed ora vedremo quante realmente prenderanno il sopravvento La seconda nei video è la numero 3, che anche se avevo accennato anche a lei un po di Lst, ha ripreso una forma tradizionale. Ed ha raggiunto finalmente la sorella n.2 L ultima in fondo nei video invece è la numero 2 che mostra una stupenda, robusta e folta struttura a candelabro. Sono molto contento di come sta procedendo la crescita delle sorelle. Ottimo!!!💪 L odore si fa più intenso ma ancora troppo generale per definirlo. Ora come ora, mi sento di dire aspro🤔 Ho defogliato loro nel giorno 58, giusto po di foglie più grosse che facevano ombra👍 Eh niente ragazzi! Day 65 - Maria got some needed defoliation to expose lower nodes to light and increase air circulation through the canopy. She is growing bushy with short internodes. Juanita's new growth looks slightly better, even though growth has slowed down and is very stretchy. Thinking of putting her soul to rest, she's turning out to be a headache in the current tent situation. Day 66 - Maria's growth exploded after yesterday's defoliation. Both plants showed pre-flowers and are both confirmed ladies. 🙂 Day 70 - Both ladies got 1 litre each of plain water. Maria got her lower skirt lollipopped. Also defoliated her from top to expose lower growth to more light. She is still growing very dense. Juanita is showing signs of recovery, new growth is green and purple stems are slowly turning green again I don't like the way she is growing though, internodes are too long. Will have to see what to do with her.

Today we're feeding sweet gelato Also we're adding extra LST To secure the lady and make her grow even some more ✓ She's doing good, taking her time Now she's comfortable in that big pot She's got a mega mix soil w a lil bit of everything good for her to develop well thru the stages Also we've got good temp and good humidity lvl For now on just gotta keep feeding them and securing LST because soon she will become a monster and if we miss one day it's going to be really hard to follow, sometimes LST can be really hard to do and takes tons of your time but all of it is beautiful :) Alright guys I guess I will keep you up date if something comes up!

We’ll post for this week a few days late as started some LST and thought would leave a few days as Monday was pretty warm day and didn’t want to stress them too much because of the heat issue and training but resolved heat issues and everything in the garden looks happy again so have look roll on the next week ✌️🏻
