Esta semana voy a escribir sobre: CARBÓN VEGETAL ACTIVADO CON MICROORGANISMOS DE MONTAÑA. esta es una práctica avanzada pues al menos se necesita tener el inóculo sólido de Microorganismos de Montaña (MMS), aunque al final intentaré dar otras opciones para aquellos que no tengan MMS. Puedes consultar en la semana 3 la manera de hacer Microorganismos de Montaña Sólidos (MMS): https://growdiaries.com/diaries/134104-grow-journal-by-defharo/week/725879 El carbón vegetal es un excelente componente para toda clase se mezclas de sustrato, tiene varias propiedades muy interesantes, ayuda a la estructuración del suelo y la creación de humus, es un regulador térmico en lugares fríos, favorece la expansión de las raíces y su estructura de microporos promueve la retención de humedad y nutrientes, se dice que en 1cm cúbico de carbón puede contener de 8 a 30 millones de Microorganismos. Y es precisamente la propiedad de retención de humedad y nutrientes, de la que se aprovecha esta práctica. El carbón vegetal llamado "activado" que se usa en filtros de agua o aire, tiene mala fama entre los aficionados a las peceras, porque se dice que roba nutrientes, principalmente Nitrógeno, esto tiene una explicación y no es un problema para cultivo en macetas, el carbón seco tiende a absorber humedad y los nutrientes que se encuentra en el sustrato o en los riegos, porque es muy poroso, y de repente, tiene que saturar todos sus microporos, pero esto apenas va a tener incidencia en un cultivo. En mi caso lo que hago es mezclar el carbón con los Microorganismos Sólidos y después lo humedezco con agua y melaza para activar la Microbiología del inóculo, dándole la energía necesaria, de esta manera tengo un carbón inoculado con Microorganismos de Montaña, y una vez en el sustrato, con humedad, estos MM, se propagarán. En este caso el carbón, de momento, no captura nutrientes porque está saturado, pero después de unos riegos, será la casa perfecta donde los Microorganismos y los nutrientes convivirán ofreciendo una fuente extra de nutrientes, para que las raíces se alimenten en periodos de escasez de alimento o humedad. Supongo que quien tenga inóculos bacterianos comerciales, podría usar esta práctica para multiplicarlos. INGREDIENTES BÁSICOS: Agua pura: 500ml Carbón vegetal, para usarlo en macetas conviene que los trozos de carbón no sean grandes. 750 gramos. Melaza: 75g Microorganismos de Montaña Sólidos (MMS): 225g PROCEDIMIENTO: Se mezcla el carbón y los Microorganismos sólidos. Se disuelve la melaza en el agua. Se humedece el carbón lentamente, mezclándolo bien, porque el carbón vegetal puede almacenar mucha humedad y necesita tiempo para saturarse. Se guarda a oscuras durante un mes en un recipiente cerrado. Hasta aquí la fórmula básica, yo hago algunos añadidos, como se puede ver en las fotos. Añado 260g de Leonardita, que es un carbón vegetal con millones de años y en el proceso de convertirse en mineral, aunque todavía no lo es, es además, la mayor fuente de ácidos húmicos y comparte las propiedades del carbón. Añado Microorganismos de Montaña Activados (MMA) de forma líquida para aumentar la inoculación de microbiología, también un lacto fermento de frutas que aporta muchas vitaminas, nutrientes y enzimas... en la última foto se ve el recipiente después de un mes. Siguiendo el principio de saturación previa de los poros del carbón, para mezclas de sustratos, y sin tener acceso a microbiología, se podría, por ejemplo, saturar el carbón con alguna mezcla nitrogenada para el comienzo del cultivo, después el carbón seguirá cumpliendo sus funciones de estructuración de suelos, creación de humus y para retener humedad y nutrientes. Hey guys it’s week three and I’m feeling great. I ran into a few issues: 1. Unexpected rise in humidity. Don’t really know why it spiked but I purchased a dehumidifier to combat the issue. 2. White powdery Mold on the side of my grow fabric pots. I believe this was a byproduct of my humidity issue. I heavy inspected each plant and from the surface everything appears to be ok. I whipped away the mold and spray it down with a solution I made from mouth wash and water prior to the girls going to sleep. I also added another fan to add more circulation. 3. I took a few photos of some of my leaves there looks to be some discoloration hard to tell what it is due to me being color blind, I believe this is due to nutrition burn. All please take a look and tell me what you think it is, is it one problem or multiple? Other than that I started LST, great start so far I believe!

After just sort of 5 weeks at 18 hours light, the photoperiod RQS Mimosa plants are at 16". I'm starting to worry about the 'stretch' of the sativa plants will grow too close to lights. So I switched to 12/12 at this time. Started the Fox Farm flowering nuts about this time as well. Photos here are bit into week 5... but wow now we can see the starting of the flowering, so cool.

Today is day 72 from seed!! This week went real well , 2 of the Forbiddin Runtz have been getting flushed an the rest will also start flush through this next week, I can’t believe the smell of this combo strain,, super fruity smelling an all are super sticky!! Stay tuned for next week yall !

Day 25-05/01/22 all looking good!!!

Week 5 - Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 82 during the day and 72 at night. It’s been creeping up and down for the past couple of weeks. I’m thinking of ordering a T8 Cloudline from AC to really suck that air out… I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop and wow, just wow. Already popping with some long stems and big heads! These girls just keep getting better and better. They are also really starting to show their pheno differences, and similarities. 3 of them have very similar terps, and slight variations, and one is distinct in both smell and look.

420 Fastbuds Amnesia Haze Auto Week 7 This week has been awesome. Definitely starting to show her beautiful colors as she's fully into flower. I still spray once a week of 50ml per gallon of PureCrop 1 as a preventive maintenance and I have yet to see any signs of pest. It's still been super hot with Temps into the high 90's but overall with the 2 liters of water daily they seem to be ok. All in all Happy Growing

So, guys.. This is her first month blooming. 4 complete weeks has passed. Here we are for 2 more. Gave Her a super powerful egg shell fert (all powdered - Phosforium Whelthy.) 07/10/20 - We are in the middle of week 5. Thats the way they look like. For me a good number of buds and they are as dense as I thought they would be by this time. I think everything is under control despite some foxtails cuz the heat. Loving the experience.

So we've hit day 49 with the girls! Everyone seems to be happy. The 2 little runts are now the biggest in the crop, they're super stretchy and about a week behind in flowering. I hope to be able to harvest all the plants at once as I plan to dry in my tent, but if I have to do a staggered harvest then, I guess I gotta do it. Nutes are listed above, everything has been working excellent so far. (I may be trying different coco nutes next run, as I'm suspecting the H&G set I'm using has contributed to the stretchiness of the girls.) UPDATE - DAY 51 - 09/01/21 Everything seems to be just fine at this stage in time. the runts are flowering slowly, so i hope they pick up sometime soon. 1 of the plants(the healthiest since day 1) seems to be a week or so ahead in flower. I'm still hoping to chop the whole tent down at the same time (Fingers crossed!). UPDATE - Day 53 - 11/01/21 The girls seem to be happy today. Pheno type 1 ( plant 1 + 2) - Much more bud production than the rest of the plants. pheno type 2 (plant 3 + 4) - runts of the litter are now the stretchiest out of the lot Pheno type 3 (remainder of plants) are inbetween pheno 1 & 2. I'm still hoping to harvest the majority of the girls at the same time, still have a while to go though :) Thanks for stopping by!

The buds continue to grow, showing no signs of stopping, but the leaves get old. This week i have watered bananas. It's rain. I fear the buds will be damaged. Maybe i will have to harvest soon. THANKYOU. SEE YOU NEXT WEEK.

Hi all 🧑‍🌾 Welcome to my 🍌💜👊 week update. Hope everyone keeping well and having a great week😁 Thank you so much for so much support on this bananas ride 🙏💜💚💜💚 Everything still going pretty well. Girls are developing and stretching like crazy. Athena currently Dec 14 90cm and main stem of Xena is not far of this height either. Unfortunately noticed first signs of calcium deficiency(my opinion) on Athena. Thankfully started feeding both girls with calmag weeks back but the dosage wasn't not enough for Athena. Started small treatment very next day on Dec 11 (see description below) I belive got my baby back on right track. Week 9 Dec 11-17 Dec 11 Watering was planned for Tuesday but due to calcium deficiency decided for a little treatment. Watered both girls with mixture of reduced content of growth nutes by 50% calmag at 1.2 ml per ltr. Reduced solution PH to 6.2 as apperently it's ideal for calcium consumption. Over period 4h I have watered Athena with 5ltr with couple runoffs. Xena 3ltr. Total of 7-10 leaves affected mainly at top colas close to the light. Dec 12-13 Purely observation and all looking well. Of course all affected leaves will progres of showing signs but good news is that growth and development booming and don't see any new leaves with symptoms. Very nice trichomes development in recent days and more and more colours. Dec 14 Second watering for this week 6.5l Increased calmag to 1.4ml per ltr and if still things will be looking well reduce to 1 or 1.2 on next feeding. Dec 15 Very nice respond on yesterday feeding. They definitely fatten over night and getting more and more frosty. Will need to remove some foliage soon as getting extremely bushy again. Dec 17 Xenas main stem top cola almost touched the light today. Tied her to left side of the cabinet, applied selective defoliation on both girls, tied few branches to netting and on the end of this busy day a third watering for this week. 7 ltrs beetwen both. Runoffs Xena PH6.4 Athena 6.3. Very nice week have to say. I belive that calcium deficiency on Athena is no longer a case here and both girls developing very nicely. Day late on the update, pics/vids were taken on time tho just been a crazy week of harvests and trimming and keeping up with these. I transplanted all of them into 1 gallon bags 4 days ago from today.
