Nice to finally join the club! 😁
This is a step by step of my very first attempt at growing from Start to Finish.
It's something I've always wanted to do and I've researched a lot of over the years but now is the right time to give it a go as I have become a medical user of cannabis and the price just keeps going up!! 😂🤦♂️
So without going on too much let's get down to the nitty gritty...
I Dropped the 1 seed into a glass of 5.8 PH water on 10/05/21 which I also dechlorinated, waited until she sank then placed her between two damp paper towels inside two plates in a warm, dark & humid spot (bucket) until the tap root showed and was about 1/4" long then she went straight Into media on 12/05/21.
Day 1 - 15/05/21 - first two baby leaves open & lights on!
Day 2 - 4L Humidifier added, seedling just under 3" tall ALREADY!!! So I've lowered the light from 23" to 15" to try and stop the stretching.
Day 3 - 17/05/21 - Checked on my girl and she's the same height as yesterday so hopefully the stretching has stopped 🤞 I also built a T-bar diffuser for my humidifier using some 32mm PVC pipe and fittings (Photo Above) I'm hoping this will distribute the humidity more evenly so I can have the humidifier on less often, I'm getting puddles of condensation forming in the bottom of my tent which is annoying! 🌊🌊🌊 😂 I'm hoping it might save me a bit of deionised water as well? 🤔
Day 4 - The T-bar diffuser I installed on the humidifier is working well, The RH is staying up and so far no puddles! ⛲ 😂 I will get a more comprehensive reading of highs and lows over the next few days and get it dialled in the best I can. I also think that because there is a lot of red LED's in this Mars Hydro light that may also contributing to the stretch during my girls early stages of life. Thankfully she is looking great and the stretch is massively reduced now that The light is lower. 😁
Day 5 - 19/05/21 - So far So Good! 😊 The stretching has definitely stopped but I'm still worried about her getting so tall so fast!! So today I installed a small 6" fan in the corner of my tent to try and get her stem to thicken up a bit, this is set to run only when the humidifier is on otherwise it screws up my RH and Temperatures. I also plan to bury her an inch or two deeper when I re-pot 👍 apart from that she's doing great! 🙂
Day 6 - 20/05/21 - No major updates today she's just looking happy! 🙂
Today's Environment Readings:
Max Out (Probe) - 24.2c
Max In (LCD Screen) - 23.8c
Max RH (LCD Screen) - 81%
Min Out (Probe) - 18.8c
Min In (LCD Screen) - 18.7
Min RH (LCD Screen) - 47%
Day 7 - So that's week 1 done & It seems like I've gotten all my temps down now, 👍 she's no longer stretching, humidity and temperatures are staying where I want them and my little girl is looking healthy 😁
No nutrients for the first 7 - 10 days of her life just water 🚰 set to PH 5.8 and dechlorinated.

Telos 6 Pro 175w LED! 😁
4" TT pro fan for Extraction moves up to 187M2 & SMS Controler + temperature probe
3" Passive intake (made slightly larger than normal due to the small area and large fan, also covered to prevent pests)
6" clip on Ram fan placed next to intake
Rhino Pro 100/300mm Carbon Filter
4" Black combi ducting which feeds outside
4L humidifier set to run intermittently via analogue timer to increase humidity in Seedling + Veg stage
Agro lab Temperature and humidity sensor

I decided to go with a soil media as all of the medicine I grow will be for myself so flavour, quality and terpenes mean more to me than weight
0.2L"ish" Seedling pots - 75% BioBizz light mix 25% Canna Coco Professional for added drainage
I will only be re-potting once into 8L Fabric pots 75% BioBizz All Mix 25% Canna Coco Professional
Nutrients
Going to stick with the BioBizz range of organic liquid nutrients including Grow, Bloom, Root Juice, Cal-Mag, PH down & Top Max apart from using some Plant Magic Silicon, some Root it First Feed, some Neutralise to remove the chlorine and chloramine from my tap water & Flawless Flush at the end.
(I have some more seeds en-route to be safe)
Light Distance From Canopy - 120cm
Temperatures - Lights On - 26.0C
Temperatures - Lights Off -20.0C
Relative Humidity - 75% - Lights On
Relative Humidity - 60% Lights Off
Current Light schedule - 18/6
I can't think of anything else to include in regards to specs but if I've missed anything off or if you have any questions or comments then get involved as I'd love some input and advice!!!

Quick edit...The 3 remaining pots will have some other vegetables in them for this run, Pear Drop Cherry Tomatoes and Sweet Peppers if anyone was wondering...
Today is day 8 from her opening her first baby leaves so I'm counting this as week 1 of veg and she's doing well! 🙂 All be it a little lanky and not growing quite as fast as I would like.. BUT the stretching has stopped and I can't change the light yet so here we are! 😂
She is actually looking very healthy 🙂 I've placed her closer to the fan to try and strengthen her stem a little, and I just got some better timers to control the temperature and humidity levels and keep them from fluctuating so much.
She will be having her first drink very soon which will contain a little Root it first feed, some Cal mag & Root Juice from BioBizz & some Bio Silicon from Plant Magic at very very weak doses, up until now I have just been periodically misting the soil and letting the humidifier do its job 👌I will increase her feed slowly little by little and use my other plants (vegetables) as testers until I'm more comfortable with how she handles nutrients
Day 8 - Still just misting the soil with PH'd water as needed but I'm thinking tomorrow she might have her first little bit of food.🤞
Day 9 - So my new timer is working well to keep my environmentals more stable than before 🙂 Over the last 8 hours and the large fluctuation has been reduced by quite a bit, the humidity is still jumping around a a little but I'm not worried as the average is between 65 & 75% which is great for her!
I have decided I will knock up a very VERY weak mix of feed today and see how she takes it 🙂 (I am waiting till the end of week 1/Start of week 2 of Veg before I add the Bio-grow)
I don't want is to burn my baby! So she will be getting about a 20% strength or less to begin with (multiple dilution rates of different elements)
If everything goes well and I don't see any signs of stress then in week 2 I will look to up her feed strength 😁
Day 10 - And she's looking well!! I noticed a little yellowing on her new leaves and her growth seemed to have slowed down a lot... Turns out she was just thirsty 😅 so she had her first drink and feed last night!!
So far, So good I've seen nothing but positive effects from her drink and very VERY diluted nutrient solution 😁 As long as she begins to grow nice and fast again then I'll take that she likes her Nutes and I can look at going up to half strength after a couple of feeds 👍
So it's Day 12, 26/05/21 and the damage I caused by letting her roots dry out a few days ago is now much more visible! 🙄
I didn't want to over water her and ended up going too far the other way, letting her dry out too much which has scorched the next set of true leaves...Because I'm STUPID...🤦♂️
On a happier note she accepted a drink with her first feed very well and is slowly bouncing back! 👍
The stall on her growth seems to have ended, and even though theyre a bit yellow she's still pushing those new leaves out so I'm not toooooo worried
I also checked the roots of some of the other plants which started at the same time and they're NOWHERE near re-potting yet so I don't think that's happening this Sunday like I thought lol... but we shall see!
Temps - 19-23c
RH - 50-80%
Day 13 - I have some bad news and some amazing news!!! Let's get the shitty one out the way... So as you can see from the latest pictures she's struggling!!! I gave them all another feed this morning which ALL but her have accepted very well!!! But for some reason she's finding it difficult to stay upright and I think she may have a little bit of nute burn in the tips of her leaves as well! 🤔. I'm really hoping she evens out now that I've put the new light in!!!!
Now for the AMAZING NEWS!!! So I work in a hydroponics shop and today I have been given... YES GIVEN FOR FREE!!! A BRAND NEW JUST RELEASED TELOS 6 PRO!!! To take home and test which i have just finished hanging in my tent! 😁😁😁 I'm hoping the much MUCH better quality and more powerful light will help her regain some of her lost strength, but if any of you experienced growers out there can give me some advice please please doo!!!
Day 14 - And the end of the first week of veg and she's not doing great BUT it's Friday 28/06/21 and I got paid today... So I was able to upgrade my tent to a 0.75x0.75x2.0m BudBox Pro in white to give her more room! 👍 I also upgraded my fan controler to an SMS controler which has a temperature probe. If it gets too hot the fan kicks in on full power until the temperature comes back down below the maximum i want (26c)
So hopefully I don't have to worry about LST and heat stress too much anymore! I also bought some 8L pots now I have the extra height 👍 That other tent was way WAY too small for my new light lol
I flushed about 1L of water through her last night so now I'm just going to leave everything to settle and will come back in a few days with some good news hopefully ☺️

I'm Using the Bio-Bizz Liquid nutrients in soil, My baby is 9 days old from seed and I want to make up a mix of food, if I throw an air stone into the mix how long will it last? I've been told it's fine until it smells fermented???
I don't want to make too much and waste it.....
Only mix what you need to use :) Air stones do nothing I have tried using two in my reservoirs they do nothing but oxygenate the water and well im not growing plants in my res so its pointless what you need is a water pump. just need to keep the water moving yes air stones do move the water but no where near as much as needed to stop your nutrients going bad. Keep in mind as soon as you open a bottle of nutrients that bottle will only stay good for around 6 months. this is the reason I use powdered feeds they are much cheaper and you get complete control on when to make the feeds and when to use them also the powder lasts for upto 2-3 years :)
Week 2 of Veg...
OK!! So she's not doing well and I'm scratching my head a little if I'm honest...
Since I upgraded to the taller tent and the Telos 6 Pro Slimline all of the plants have been doing AMAZING apart from her! 🤦♂️ The growth on all the others is MASSIVELY accelerated While she just sits there moaning her bag off & I don't know why!?! 🤬
Now I know that they're not identical in terms of genetics as they are 3 different species of plant (Cannabis, Pear Drop Cherry Tomatoes & Sweet Peppers) however they are VERY similar & the other 6 have no signs of burning or stress from excess nutrients or any other environmental issues like temperature or humidity problems.
It is Day 16 - 30/05/21 My temperatures and humidity have stayed SOLID for the last 6 hours while the lights were on, they are at 120cm height from my babies as recommended...
Temps 24-26c
Humidity 70-75%
They have all had the exact same weak feeds just 2 small mixes from day 10 onwards, the only difference is I have ran roughly 1L of just pure PH'd water through the Cherry Gar-See-Ya seedling as she looks like she has been burnt to crap!!!
The plan now is just to leave her alone and see what happens, Let her dry out a bit and then just a drink of water when she wants it... On a good note she is standing up on her own without support now so I'm hoping she can pull through and this will only knock me back a week or 2 which is fine now I have the extra height to play with 👍
Hopefully I'm doing the right thing by her but some helpful comments right now would be VERY welcomed as I'm still a noob and new to growing 🤓...

Ok so it's been a while since my last update as there hasn't really been anything to say...
Day 24 - She's been on straight water since the burn which has now stopped & her new growth is looking great!!
She's still lanky & runty for her age but bouncing back nicely! 👍
Her stem is stronger & thicker than before thanks to the 4" fan I installed to make her wobble wobble
My temps have stayed at 25°C or less even in this hot weather!!! The 9" metal fan I installed has been a big help for that & SO MUCH QUIETER than that crappy plastic one!!! 😃
Raising the lights to 140cm has also helped to beat the heat!
She's going to stay on plain PH'd water for the time being until she's big enough to be transplanted and then go from there 👍
I have also popped a Gorilla Zkittels but she won't be part of this journal 😉

Ok so she's about a month old and slowly but surely she is coming back to me!!!
She has been on straight water for a while now which is all she's getting & once she is big enough she will be transplanted into an 8L fabric pot with BioBizz All Mix
The damage I did previously is still visible on her lowest 2 leaves but all the new growth is nice and green 👌

Ok!! So it's 20/06/21 Day 37 - I have had to pot on my other girl who is absolutely FLYING & had filled her first seedling pot in just 10 days!!!
So in a last ditch effort to save my Cherry Gar-See-Ya I have potted her on also...
She had absolutely nothing of a root system to speak of and the burn had seemed to come Back after I ran another litre of fresh water through her?!?! 🤔
I removed almost all of the soil from around her and she has gone into an 8L fabric pot filled with BioBizz All Mix
At this point she will either survive and catch up with my Gorilla Zkittles or die...
We shall see...
OK!!!.... So we are half way through week 6 of veg day 46 from seed and well the pictures speak for themselves really...
She is still severely stunted and even though I removed most of the soil I screwed up with nutrients her growth is slow...
She does look a lot better than she did however the Gorilla Zkittles is now so far ahead that I'm going to be flipping the lights when she is ready (1-2weeks) which means whatever this Cherry Gar See Ya looks like at that point is what she's going into flower with.
She's not dead yet but I'm focusing on my big girl now so she's going to be left to do her own thing really, the burn appears to be very reduced compared to before but she's going to be very small when I flip to flower IF she even makes it! 😂🤦♂️
Just like last week just nothing but straight water when she drys out but in an 8L pot that ain't happening any time soon 🤣🤦♂️

Absolutely my fault as a noob grower!
I have decided to call it a day with the Cherry gar see ya girl... I messed her up too much in the beginning and the Gorilla Zkittles will be flipping in a week or so and as I only have 1 other plant I won't risk a Hermie so I think it was for the best
Bit of a shame but I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't do it and she pollinated my only other girl!!!
Bro don’t worry too much if you head over and check out my recent grows I’ve had 4 different strains 3 done amazing but one popped looking like it was ready to die but you’ll see she’s bounced back and is doing well now
