This is my second run of Dutch Passion with my first being a monster Blueberry Auto. Massive plant, and her pungent odor overtook my entire home while trimming her today. While trimming her it smelled like I was in an earthy Pine Forest with a hint of berries, and it was one of the strongest smelling plants I've ever run. Very easy to grow, responded to all training methods with VIGOROUS growth. I topped her above the 7th node and removed the bottom one so I had 12 mains total. It took me almost 8 hours and I even had help for 4 hours.. Trimming is definitely my least favorite part of cultivating this species. I am super impressed with this strain and really everything Dutch Passion. They have not even sent me a single seed or even acknowledged me on here but this is my second run of their autos and I anticipate each will be a massive yielder. I will probably take a month off then start a run of a few photoperiod mainlines. DAY 56 Since flip: well all of these ladies have come past the official harvest dates mow of max 56 days. I am happy to say it is because they all want to continue swelling and pushing new pistils to show off their prowess. FFT#1 Is starting to brown off nicely all over and will need a loupe soon to determine how close she is to her sweet spot . She smells so much of pineapples now that I think she has to be on that track for her true identity. Nice solid buds , not the biggest but a few around so shouldn't be too shabby on her yield. FFT#5 Is racing with #7 to the best sized buds I think. She has a couple that are certainly the 2 mains picked to quad from but even the secondary challengers are nice and fat and verybfrity sweet. They are developing a lot of new tricks too and could go another week at least. FFT#7 Is the heaviest bidder of the whole grow so far. She continues to swell and push plenty of new fresh pistil sets out at a fair pace. Her lower down growth is showing through the canopy all over and does her genetics very proud. She is my favourite of the for growth but #5 is doing amazing too. Let's see what next week brings to the game shall we. Be sane growmies.

Day 29. No problems as far as I can see. Started doing daily feeds from day 20, figuring I'll keep consistent track of the runoff PPM, and it is right now at 330, which is the highest reading so far (too high?). Inflow has been steady at 420-460 PPM for a while, and will continue until flower. Last weeks topping turned out to be a FIM, and I now have 8 new tops.. "fuck I missed" indeed

I grew them in soil, watered the first 5 weeks and then started nutrients and barely fed them, maybe 4 waterings total

Harvest day ! Smell very good everything except the honey cream are looking good and compact

The plant have a problem with sciaridi.

She recovered very well from last week training and lollipop. I hope this technique gives me good results, is looking promising so far, I decided to lower the nutrient amounts to half the recommended from advanced nutrients since I burnt my pineapple chunk a little.

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. Had some ups and downs with this plant. mainly the extreme yellowing that was happening. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and I feel this has suffered in the end. The top best looking buds could have been larger and the lower ones could have been thicker. There is some smells with this plant but they are not pronounced. Just smells like mild basic weed, this would be one reason not to grow it, however, the crystals on this plant have been the most I've ever grown before. When trimming them every time the scissors snipped or the brush stroked I saw some falling down onto the tray. This plant would be great for making hash. had a good little ball of finger hash at the end of it and will be giving that to my friends to smoke or make a strong edible with. I don't plan on growing this strain out again, the lack of smells and the fact I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. most of the lower growth is quite larfy but will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. I converted the cents into dollar amounts beforehand to avoid dividing by 100. 8.2c/h = 0.082$/h 438h * 0.17c/kwh = $74.46kw * 0.15kw = $11.17 on peak 522h * 0.113c/kwh = $58.99kw *0.15kw = $8.85 mid peak 1,272h * 0.082c/kwh = $104.30kw *0.15kw = $15.65 off peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of $ dollars per peak period, add all the peak periods up and you get your total cost of running the lights in dollars. $11.17 + $8.85 + $15.65 = $35.67 for the grow light only. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 5.34oz or 151.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷151.6g = 2.22 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 151.6g = 0.24c/g It cost 24c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day. Hey now, hope everyone is having a safe week. The Glueberry OG continues to stack on weight as seen in the timelapse with the mains starting to sag as gravity starts to affect the stacking of the flowers. She is still feeding on cal mag, maxi bloom, and Liquid Kool Bloom. I will transition her to the dry Kool Bloom probably sometime this week as I believe she is about 2 weeks or so from harvest. I am planning to harvest her around 4th of July time frame, and then I will start a few photo period mainlines for my next run. She is starting to smell very nice with an earthy smell and a hint of blueberries. I currently have the Spectrum X cranked up to 100% power and have upped the time on the UV/IR bars to 120 minutes just prior to lights off. I am super happy with this light so far, she puts out impressive PAR, and runs fairly cool. Not much to do this week other than keep the reservoir full and in the correct PH range. The tomatoes outside are absolutely loving the runoff from these autos, as that is all they have had to drink since they were about 3 weeks old.
