Growth is phenomenal , scent is starting to get stronger. Looking super healthy noticeable growth daily. That bud candy from advanced nutrients is really coming into work now. Permanent Marker has stalled in growth a little. I think it has had a bit too much nitrogen. I'm not worried as I'm sure it'll all work out in the end 😅 5.9.25: I decided the plant was ready for some training, I FIM'ed her. Hopefully I can just tie the odd branch down, when we get to that stage. Here is what I did this week. 4.9.25: I watered with 1L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.5 with; 💜 1ml Trace 💜 . 25 TSP Biosys PH: 6.5 PPM: 365 9.9.25: I watered with 1.5L of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4, with; 💜 1ml Trace PH: 6.4 PPM: 361 Thanks for stopping by this week and hanging out 😁💚✌️🌱🧡🤞

absolute beast and definitely my favorite strain of this run so far. i love the internodal spacing on this one, its a very sturdy plant with strong branching.

Mohawk Meds: Banana Flambe (BF): Realized 2nd Week of germination the lighting was 12/12. Explains the slow start. Now its corrected and started to grow like they should. BF #4 was having some problems breaking soil. I had to dig it completely out and it was curly Qued, growing deeper into the soil the wrong way. I probably planted tap root up. I dug it out and corrected its growth direction. Its cotyledons were present just underground. Unfortunately, between miss planting, 12/12, and digging it up BF #4 did not make it. 😞 They have had spritz of 6.0ph waterx2 each day. Will start to bottom water to get those roots to stretch. Environment is consistent 79F, 60%RH, 320-390ppfd, & 650ppm CO2.

UPDATE 8-05-2020 Switching the lights to 12-12 UPDATE 18-05-2020 I see some white hairs but I don't count the bloom weeks yet. I start counting when I see 'white wigs'. Check out the video: Left and right are both OBG KUSH and the middle one is off topic MAGIC BUD.

Entering bulk phase now, gave them another round of microorganisms and molasses, they wouldn't have needed it. Looking great with just water (not even pH correction). Feels a bit wrong, coming from salts, but the plants are happy.. Weird top on the AGO, looks stunted, like it topped itself. Minor Thrips damage, but nothing to worry about at this stage. I will be gone for 10 days and someone else is looking after the plants 😬 so next update will have to wait until I come back.

2nd net is up. Early bud formations are promising. holding up to the extremes pretty well, some leaves taking minor damage, but overall, she is holding up, gave her 1 night at 50F see how she would react, stressful. Not advised as it messes with her metabolism, but I want to see if it triggers any anthocyanin response. Love to see her purp up but no signs yet. My homework. Rubisco regeneration is intrinsically linked to nitrogen supply because Rubisco is a major sink for nitrogen in plants, typically accounting for 15% to over 25% of total leaf nitrogen. The regeneration phase itself consumes nitrogen through the synthesis of the Rubisco enzyme and associated proteins (like Rubisco activase), and overall nitrogen status heavily influences the efficiency of RuBP regeneration.Structural Component: Nitrogen is an essential building block for all proteins, and the sheer abundance of the Rubisco protein makes it the single largest storage of nitrogen in the leaf. Synthesis and Activity: Adequate nitrogen supply is crucial for the synthesis and maintenance of sufficient Rubisco enzyme and Rubisco activase (Rca), the regulatory protein responsible for maintaining Rubisco's active state. Nitrogen deficiency leads to a decrease in the content and activity of both Rubisco and Rca, which in turn limits the maximum carboxylation rate, Vmax, and the rate of RuBP regeneration Jmax, thus reducing overall photosynthetic capacity. Nitrogen Storage and Remobilization: Rubisco can act as a temporary nitrogen storage protein, which is degraded to remobilize nitrogen to other growing parts of the plant, especially under conditions of nitrogen deficiency or senescence. Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE): The allocation of nitrogen to Rubisco is a key determinant of a plant's photosynthetic nitrogen use efficiency (PNUE). In high-nitrogen conditions, plants may accumulate a surplus of Rubisco, which may not be fully activated, leading to a lower PNUE. Optimizing the amount and activity of Rubisco relative to nitrogen availability is a target for improving crop NUE. Photorespiration and Nitrogen Metabolism: Nitrogen metabolism is also linked to the photorespiration pathway (which competes with carboxylation at the Rubisco active site), particularly in the reassimilation of ammonia released during the process. To increase RuBisCO regeneration, which refers to the process of forming the CO2 acceptor molecule Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate (RuBP) during photosynthesis, the primary methods involve optimizing the levels and activity of Rubisco activase (Rca) and enhancing the performance of other Calvin-Benson-Bassham (CBB) cycle enzymes. Biochemical and Environmental Approaches: Optimize Rubisco Activase (Rca) activity: Rca is a crucial chaperone protein that removes inhibitory sugar phosphates, such as CA1P (2-carboxy-D-arabinitol 1-phosphate), from the Rubisco active site, thus maintaining its catalytic competence. •Ensure optimal light conditions: Rca is light-activated via the chloroplast's redox status. Adequate light intensity ensures Rca can effectively maintain Rubisco in its active, carbamylated state. •Maintain optimal temperature: Rca is highly temperature-sensitive and can become unstable at moderately high temperatures (e.g., above 35°C/95F° in many C3 plants), which decreases its ability to activate Rubisco. Maintaining temperatures within the optimal range for a specific plant species is important. •Optimize Mg2+ concentration: Mg2+ is a key cofactor for both Rubisco carbamylation and Rca activity. In the light, Mg2+ concentration in the chloroplast stroma increases, promoting activation. •Manage ATP/ADP ratio: Rca activity depends on ATP hydrolysis and is inhibited by ADP. Conditions that maintain a high ATP/ADP ratio in the chloroplast stroma favor Rca activity. Enhance Calvin-Benson-Bassham (CBB) cycle enzyme activity: The overall rate of RuBP regeneration can be limited by other enzymes in the cycle. •Increase SBPase activity: Sedoheptulose-1,7-bisphosphatase (SBPase) is a key regulatory enzyme in the regeneration pathway, and increasing its activity can enhance RuBP regeneration and overall photosynthesis. •Optimize other enzymes: Overexpression of other CBB cycle enzymes such as fructose-1,6-bisphosphate aldolase (FBA) and triose phosphate isomerase (TPI) can also help to balance the metabolic flux and improve RuBP regeneration capacity. Magnesium ions, Mg2+, are specifically required for Rubisco activation because the cation plays a critical structural and chemical role in forming the active site: A specific lysine residue in the active site must be carbamylated by a CO2 molecule to activate the enzyme. The resulting negatively charged carbamyl group then facilitates the binding of the positively charged Mg2+ion. While other divalent metal ions like Mn2+ can bind to Rubisco, they alter the enzyme's substrate specificity and lead to dramatically lower activity or a higher rate of the non-productive oxygenation reaction compared to Mg2+, making them biologically unfavorable in the context of efficient carbon fixation. The concentration of Mg2+ in the chloroplast stroma naturally increases in the light due to ion potential balancing during ATP synthesis, providing a physiological mechanism to ensure the enzyme is activated when photosynthesis is possible. At the center of the porphyrin ring, nestled within its nitrogen atoms, is a Magnesium ion (Mg2+). This magnesium ion is crucial for the function of chlorophyll, and without it, the pigment cannot effectively capture and transfer light energy. Mg acts as a cofactor: Mg2+ binds to Rubisco after an activator CO2 molecule, forming a catalytically competent complex (Enzyme-CO2-Mg2+). High light + CO2) increases demand: Under high light (60 DLI is a very high intensity, potentially saturating) and high CO2, the plant's capacity for photosynthesis is high, and thus the demand for activated Rubisco and the necessary Mg2+ cofactor increases. Mg deficiency becomes limiting: If Mg2+ is deficient under these conditions, the higher levels of Rubisco and Rubisco activase produced cannot be fully activated, leading to lower photosynthetic rates and potential photo-oxidative damage. Optimal range: Studies show that adequate Mg2+ application can enhance Rubisco activation and stabilize net photosynthetic rates under stress conditions, but the required concentration is specific to the experimental setup. Monitoring is key: The most effective approach in a controlled environment is to monitor the plant's physiological responses e.g., leaf Mg2+ concentration, photosynthetic rate, Rubisco activation state, and adjust the nutrient solution/fertilizer to maintain adequate levels, rather than supplementing a fixed "extra" amount. In practice, this means ensuring that Mg2+ is not a limiting factor in the plant's standard nutrient solution when pushing the limits with high light and CO2. Applying Mg2+ through foliar spray is beneficial to Rubisco regeneration, particularly in alleviating the negative effects of magnesium (Mg) deficiency and high-temperature stress (HTS). While Mg can be leached from soil, within the plant it is considered a mobile nutrient, particularly in the phloem. Foliar-applied Mg is quickly absorbed by the leaves and can be translocate to other plant parts, including new growth and sink organs. Foliar application of: NATURES VERY OWN MgSO4 @ 15.0g L-1 in a spray bottle. Foliar sprays are often recommended as a rapid rescue measure for existing deficiencies or as a supplement during critical growth stages, when demand for Mg is high. Application in the early morning or late evening can improve absorption and prevent leaf burn. The starting point [of creativity] is curiosity: pondering why the default exists in the first place. We’re driven to question defaults when we experience vuja de, the opposite of déjà vu. Déjà vu occurs when we encounter something new, but it feels as if we’ve seen it before. Had alot of fun this season!Only 5g got moldy, but it took heavy rain and bad weather for 5-6 days in row. Bud smells super fruity and exotic

As of day 57 the grow is going well! I am more confident that the leaf yellowing is regular end of life changes at this point. The buds are putting on decent weight and the trichomes have mostly clouded over. It is entering the harvest window in my opinion, but I am going to wait another week or so before harvest and give it some time to ripen more. I have switched my feeding to a mild does of GO biothrive bloom which will finish the grow with primarily organic nutes through the last couple weeks. i will continue to fade down the nutrients as the plant is hitting the end of its life. Hello😀 Week 5 of flower begins as week 4 was. Pretty easy. Did a light defoliation as she was and is got some good leaf on her but I have decided I would go minimalist this round so no training to any plants has been given. The only issue I had was my run off was coming out slightly higher PH then going in. After some sage advice from @lassos I was advised to remove the golden tree as it is more acidic then I want and I also ran PH lower at 5.8 for most of last week giving 2 feeds a day at an EC of 1.9. 3l morning 3l night. I am happy to say PH has balanced out so thanks again lassos👍. Not much else to say she is stacking well with a nice looking flower. Smells kinda sweet not much there yet.. I plan to up the biobizz top max a little and maybe see if she wants a bit more bloom. Temperature has remained fairly consistent with night lows of 20 and I try and keep the flower room at 26c with an RH of 70%. Got a good healthy plant and have some great airflow in there so not overly concerned about the higher RH. That's all really this week. Wir sind kurz vor dem Ziel. Ich denke in einer Woche ist es soweit, dann wird die Pflanze aus dem Zelt gehen . Und ein schönes Video für den Contest gemacht . Solange wünsche ich viel Spaß mit den kleinen Video und den Bilder heute. Die Pflanze erfüllt zu 100prozent meinen Vorstellungen, da in Deutschland nur maximal 50g/Monat erlaubt sind . Arbeite ich mit einer 3er Rotation, so das monatlich eine Hinzukommt. Mein Ertrag sollte im Bereich von 30-40g liegen. Und hier scheint es genau darauf hinauslaufen. Der Blumat und die Biotabs performen genau wie erhofft, ruhiger , ordentlicher Grow, fast schon zu langweilig . Komplett Problemlos. Es wäre sicher möglich, mehr rausholen . Mit Erhöhung und Zugabe von sonstigen Dünger. Aber wie oben beschrieben, ist mir dieses Ergebnis am liebsten . Freue mich auf nächste Woche. I think it will be ready in a week, then the plant will come out of the tent and a nice video for the contest will be made. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the short video and the pictures today. The plant meets my expectations 100%, as in Germany only a maximum of 50g per month is allowed. I am working with a three-stage rotation so that one is added monthly. My yield should be in the range of 30-40g. And here it seems to be exactly that. The Blumat and the Biotabs are performing exactly as hoped, a quiet, orderly grow, almost boring. Completely trouble-free. It would certainly be possible to get more out of it by increasing and adding other fertilizers. But as described above, this result is my favorite. Howdy All, Happy New Year! The girls are getting close. The pictures were taken on the 29th. Today is the 3rd of Jan. They are getting close as you can see in the pictures. I began flushing last week with just Regeisys and still giving Terpinator. They are not going to finish at the same time, it looks like I have 2 that will go first and then the other 2 within a week or so. They smell great, and as the Pics show they are frosty. Don't want the Trichomes to get to amber, maybe 25% of them and we are about there. I will follow up early next week. Happy Growing in 2020 everyone!.
