An intense heatwave has been rolling through the grow environment, making it tough to dial in the VPD. The air is very dry, and since I don’t have a humidifier (yet), mitigating the high temperatures has me stuck between a rock and a hard place. Fortunately, I’ve reached flower, so a drier environment isn’t the worst thing in the world. Today, I spent some time tying down branches under the net again. It’s still a tricky task as the branches are quite brittle and break easily. Fortunately, the plants recover quickly, and so far, I’ve mainly noticed new growth sprouting from where the branches broke. Watering Experiment: Too Much or Just Right? Two days ago, I decided to give each plant an additional 2 liters of water to test the effects of what felt like overwatering. The results were interesting: High Humidity: The relative humidity spiked to 74%, which I consider a minor downside. Lower Temperature: Dropped to 29°C. Explosive Growth: The plants responded with vigorous growth! Given the humidity increase, I’ve decided to water the plants heavily only once a week. This approach should give them time to rest and prevent the growth of more mushrooms in the soil—yes, I’ve spotted a few popping up from the pot’s surface. Monitoring pH and Nutrient Reservoir I’ve also noticed that the pH has crept up to 6.2, indicating that the nutrient water hardness is decreasing. This suggests it might be time for a full reservoir refresh. Tonight, I plan to inspect the reservoir and clean it out. Thankfully, my hydro pump makes draining it a quick and easy process. Observations & Next Steps Continue training and monitoring branch recovery. Stick to the adjusted watering schedule. Refresh the nutrient reservoir and recalibrate the pH if needed. The grow is progressing nicely, and the plants seem happy despite some of the challenges. Leaving them alone is not an option... If they keep growing like this, I'll take it! This weekend, I'll do some heavy pruning. For now, I’ve snapped a few stems and tied some others to see which method gives better results. I’ve done about half so far, but I need to head to bed because of work. Tomorrow evening, I’ll tackle the other half. Also, I’ll look for some more subtle zip ties.

week intel: we getting close to end of ripening , this week i raised drought , Nitrogen and E.C stress by feeding them 2 times per week and raised e.c to 3 to cause real stress that will help increase terpenes production stresses : Nitrogen deficiency Stress by removing the fertilizers that has N in them Drought stress via removing one meal in week high E.C stress around 1.7 and the other feeding day 3.0 , 2 times a week feeding: no more Nitrogen i feed them 2 times this week with this order : day 1 : i feed them high with Bio-Bizz Top-Max + Feeding Booster about 850 ppm - 1.7 e.c to cause a medium e.c stress. day 3 : no more feeding this day day 5 : i feed them very high dose of Bio-Bizz Top-Max + Feeding Booster around 1500 ppm - 3 e.c to cause high e.c stress guide of the week : be patient in the last weeks, never hurry for harvest because its the time of ripening in last 2 weeks you should let plants to do their work last weeks of ripening is the time to break the limits we should cause 3 stresses as i said above Nitrogen stress , Drought Stress , E.C Stress

Germination (4-6 to 16-6) Melonade Runtz Feminized - Dutch Passion. Genetics: Melonade (Lemon Z x Lemon Tree) x Runtz. 20-25% THC, 50% Indica, 50% Sativa. Flowering time: 9-10 weeks. Aroma and Flavor: Pungent, lemon and tropical fruits with creamy, pastry-like notes. Effects: Powerful, euphoric high with a strong narcotic-like effect, suitable for experienced users. 4-6 Today i put the seed into a wet coffee filter to germinate. 6-6 After 48 i checked on the seed and the root grew really long! A bit longer to my liking so i should have checked sooner. I put the seed in a 0.5L pot filled with some Plagron Lightmix, it stays in the dark till she is above the ground. I made a feed with 0.5 gr Calcium and 0.2 ml Rootstimulator per liter. EC: 0.4 PH: 5.8, and watered the pot a bit. 7-6 After 24 hours she is above the ground and i removed the plastic foil covering the pot. 8-6 Temperature: 19.5 to 24.1 degrees Humidity: 41% to 70% Watering: 20 ml. 9-6 Temperature: 18.8 to 23.4 degrees Humidity: 62% to 74% 10-6 Temperature: 19.4 to 23.9 degrees Humidity: 60% to 74% 11-6 Temperature: 19.4 to 25.2 degrees Humidity: 43% to 71% Watering: 25 ml. 12-6 Temperature: 21.2 to 25.4 degrees Humidity: 44% to 60% 13-6 Temperature: 22.2 to 25.9 degrees Humidity: 44% to 71% Watering: 15 ml. 14-6 Watering: 40 ml. A week later and today is the last day of the germination phase. She is a bit of a stretcher, as she is growing taller then the other plants in the pre-grow cabin.

Another successful harvest have been made and I can surely tell I'm pretty amazed for how this strain showed off its potential! A downside is that yield will not be big, but overall I'm definitely satisfied. After 48 hours in the dark, I chopped her and here we are now, end of week 9, at the 2nd day of drying in a paper box, my estimation is other 5 full days before starting the curing period. I'll update next week with the harvest and I'll add some pics of the main buds fully dried. Hope you like the bloody pics I've updated today, I've really impressed of the resin, I cannot really wait to taste it... Yummy! For now it's all lads, stay tuned and stay high!

No nutrients for the next week. Also had some learnings from this grow: 1stly - must adapt a routine feeding schedule/ plan. With a lot more Nitrogen added in veg phase 2ndly - for flowering phase, need to add more of phosphorus and potassium in the feeding plan 3rdly - need to make the bed of soil big so that plant has more space for roots 4thly, - light, light and more light. 5thly - need to research more training methods and improve on them But overall I am happy and I keep learning about the growing process.

Still not given any food. It will be a few weeks until she needs food as I've just put her into a 4 ltr pot 👍

CBD Star bud seem to be thickening up despite obvious signs of deficiencies, likely due to a pH induced nutrient lock out. Phosphorus, nitrogen, calcium, manganese, molybdenum? It’s basically the periodic table of deficiencies. Main cola started to turn purple due to molybdenum deficiency? Found a spider mite on Cheese… sprayed the leaves down with a 1:10 alcohol:water solution which seems to have taken care of the mites.

She is still filling out her bud sites and the buds have grown considerably so in my case she seems more of a late-bloomer, she is covered in trichomes and smells like exotic fruit. Removed some more leaves, she had some more humid areas that could go moldy. Started only giving plain water since a couple of days. The previous time with the final shot of perma tea. She is clearly ending her run and my guess is that the soil still has high nute level, coming days will start flushing with more water I don't know if I can give her days of darkness since shell probably go first. **Update** 96.5 grams dry from 1 Autoflower! Amazing smells, still has some of the 🍈 funk. She needs to cure to let the Terps and Flavors come out. She is still very sticky and resinous. Will update once a week or two of cure is done, but with the 1 joint I smoked, full heavy hitter, body buzz and heavy head high. Looking forward to the finished product. This plant flourished with little work on my part. Good nutrients, and not being too hands on let this beast do her own thing. I would definitely recommend as a beginner strain/auto flower to go with, she is easy to see through to the end. Didn’t really need much attention until flower came on and she fed hard for phosphorus and potassium while she stacked. I’ve got some of her cousins already sprouted and am looking forward to trying some different techniques to see what she can do! Happy growing all 🌱😎

Taking a bit longer than expected for pistils development to happen but I'm hopeful it'll be any day now, I think between schwazzing a few days late and underfeeding them I caused a bit too much for them to launch like they could have, live and learn. Tried to see how long pls to could go without a feeding, turns out it's about 24 hours in the flower room. Gonna keep testing stuff but they seem headed back on track. Water pure coco daily. They are starting to thrive again, other than my fricken OMG and Zombie Kush (bad phenotpyes) but they are really just there for fun at this point. Week two saw some decent stretch, definitely need to figure out a better nutrient schedule going forward, recently bought some Veg/Bloom line up so I'm excited to see how powder nutrients go. So a lil update, I'm not editing any of the comments just adding addendums below, so for this one, I'm back to 2x daily watering for the flower room and daily for the veg room, 1.5g each feeding for all plants, as of 9/9/20 I've switched to Veg/Bloom lineup from Hydro Research and can't wait to see how it goes. The zombie kush and OMG are breaking my heart but I'm hopeful after defoliation this Friday and the new nutrient regimen they will be some happy girls. I very well may have just been severely underfeeding but that doesn't make sense since the big plants are doing so great, so I'm not really sure what the hell they want, also don't really care since we're focused on the two plants that have produced heirs. Week two had a lot going on, schwazz tomorrow on all of them and get rid of any smaller branches, should look quite a bit different on tomorrow's post.

Ok start of week 5, as stated in the video I finally got on top of the ph drop. After some research I found that dwc systems can have 2 problems that can create this problem. One is the air it pulls in is to rich in co2 and basically creates acidic resovour but since I have been changing the system weekly I didn’t feel this was my problem. The other reason could be too low ec for the plants. Basically every plant has a natural ec lvl and if the nutrients are below that of the plant it can create an inbalance that leads to ph drop. I upped my nutrients from 1200 to 1400 and since I done that my ph has stayed stable at 5.8. Also had signs of slight light burn so lifted the light. So on we go learning this system day by day. Will say I have seen some great explosive growth since it’s all been stabilised.

Updating for the Week of 9/5 Unfortunately still behind but glad that I'm making videos so I don't have to remember everything! Defoliated inner branches and fan leaves that needed to be moved out Top dressed with some Down to Earth mineral Vegetable Garden 4-4-4. Put down about 1 cup spread out over the roots and then covered with some compost. We've been getting a lot of rain so I really don't need to water, therefore I think the dry will work out well and it saves time.

After 14 days drying, 7 days hanging and another 7 days on cardboard boxes 📦 at a temp between 61 and 65 degrees F and a humidity between 52-55 % I trimmed all the buds and jar them with Boveda 62. After 2 days in jars ( 16 days from cutting the plant down) I weighed in everything. I got 434g of grade A buds and 685g of Grade B ( perfectly smokable ) buds plus a lot of trim that I didn’t weight. I’m very pleased with everything and I enjoyed every single step along the way. Probably next time I will lollipop/defoliate more aggressively so I can get more top bud and less grade b bud.
