Update

7/29/24 week 8. Flipping is around the corner. I have to defoliate before the flip. I added recharge nutrient this week to help the ladies have a quick recovery. I'm only feeding recharge with a 3 gallon res fill. I usually fill up by at least 6 gallons. What are yalls experiences using recharge?

28 days huh... I don't know what to think here right now. The plant looks completely healthy, no over or underwatering symptoms, no nutrient deficiency or excess symptoms, completely healthy in my opinion. The plant is growing as seen in timelapse, would not say it is stunted. It is growing a shit ton of side nodes but nothing is stretching and I don't know why. I did see some stretching at the end of the week, either the plant will stretch drastically over the next week or I will end up with a Basketball-sized XXXL Bud. To be sure I re-calibrated all probes and they were fine before calibrating so no error on that side. Mixed a new batch of nutrient solutions and did a full swap of the reservoir. Added support bars and a net. Values are average of the day. This plant was not to bad in terms of lst needs and defoliating needs as much as the other ones. This will be the last week they are in Veg and switching to flower cycle next week with a 12/12 photoperiod. I was going to try a 13/11 but I wanted to test out the automatic light functions on the Medic Grows Minisun-2, So this will be relieved next week. Been having issues with PH in the medium again and some nutrient uptake. I am thinking I will switch to another brand I have to use up, trip tonic from my last grow on the balcony. Its a bit more complex and not as easy as mix into water and feed but I think its going to help me solve a lot of the issues I am getting. Given this update is a few days late some of these pics are not from today. the clones in the photos above are from the beginning of the week when I potted them up. They have not done well at all and may not make it. can only hope for the next few weeks they pull through. Little defoliation

Fast Buds Run Light at 75% and will stay like this for the coming week. Scrog net will also be installed this week. 09/04/24 - 2L RO Water with Cal Mag Xtra per plant. 11/04/24 - 3L RO Water only per plant. 14/04/24 - 3L RO Water with Nutes per plant. Notes : 08/04/24 - Scrog net was installed, will continue to adjust branches this coming week. 11/04/24 - Was seeing leaves a little bit on the dark side so fed only plain water 6.5ph, next feeding will be with nutes again. Re-arranged scrog net a bit more to open up the canopy a little bit more. Overall plants looking happy and all of them have now gone into the pre-flowering stage. 14/04/24 - Plants are doing really well in the pre-flowering stage and are really streching now. One last strech befor they go into full flower.

Garage grow SoCal Another hot week in the garage averaging high of 88°. We just put in AC/dehumidifier and we brought down the temp to 72 degrees 48 relative humility with lights on for ripening. We’re starting to finish the ripening stage and pretty soon we will cut the tops. Purples are strong. Smell is unbelievable sweet and dank. Nugz are super dense. Trichomes are dripping. As we’re at the final few days we’re running straight Jacks RO until we finish, no flush. This weeks accomplishments: Ac for ripening We eradicated the Spider mites by doing manual scouting and removal every day. Long term issues None. We’re just about done. I will be focusing this diary on the smoothie strain but you’ll be seeing some other plants in the tent that are not the same strain. I only have room in this tent so bare with me. There are 2 Smoothie, 1 CNC, and 1 Stardawg (dog). The smoothie are the two bigger ones in the back of the tent. Now, the Smoothie from FastBuds is just killin it right now. Since I popped the beans they have done nothing but show signs of greatness. I don’t think this one is gonna slow down much either. I’m going to push these plants harder than my last harvest. I had a really really amazing harvest last time. I was even able to pull sap out of all 4 plants. 2 Zkittles and 2 LSD-25. This was all done by feeding at the right times and keeping a “moist” soil. Also I want add that I ran pretty much the entire line of Nectar for the Gods at a little less then the recommended ratios. This time I plan on going a tiny bit over the recommended ratios just to see what these plants will do. Trust me, if the plants have a bad response I will go back to the recommended ratios. The reason I want to do this is because I really think these auto strains can handle a lot more than a regular flowering cycle plant would. They can handle more stress, that’s for sure. When do you think I should add a compost tea into my regimen? Soon or wait till the plant is a little larger?

Well the end of week 8 was glorious looking forward to week 9 all by itself. Yeeehaaa.
