Two of the seedlings were showing some really marked chlorosis. A little odd, because all 4 buckets should be the same mix, but... I checked the EC of all the buckets and they were consistent. pH was a smidge high on those two, so I dropped it from about 5.8 to closer to 5.4/5.5. After a couple of days, I decided to just remix those two buckets. I didn't want to spend a lot of time trying to fiddle with a nutrient deficiency with autos. After a couple of days the meristem areas were coming in green again, so hopefully it's fixed! The other two plants looked fine. Edit: Immediately after writing this entry, I was like "Oooh, it's nute burn." so I dumped 1/2 of the reservoirs and replaced with filtered water to get the ppm down. pHed it to 5.5 again, and we'll see!

What a champ! She didn't even blink an eye at the massive defoliation I did... she's eating and drinking and going to give me a pretty good harvest I think. Just amazing! Going to bump up the EC today to 1.2 and keep it there for the rest of her run... Honestly, I'm so impressed with this little lady, I can hardly believe her... and to think there were so many times I was going to throw in the towel and start over... I'm glad she wasn't able to read my thoughts! 10/27 - She continues to humble me... her persistence makes me ashamed of my earlier pessimism... each bud site is stacking - there will be few, if any small single buds (not talking "popcorn" but rather decent sized but still single buds)... She's plowing through the water and the nutes .... I've got the lights up as high as they can go unless I end up having to rest them on top of the top crossbars of the tent (which I may have to do!). I may try to eliminate or at least mitigate that problem with some creative LST efforts... she won't mind... she hasn't really minded anything I've done.. Also going to do a little bit more defoliation today... 10/28 - EC and pH are both nice and stable... she's gone through about 1/2 gallon since yesterday so will top up the reservoir. Didn't get the defoliation done yesterday.. heading in to do it NOW! :-D 10/31 - Haven't been terribly attentive to this part of the diary - but there's been little to say! She's doing really well, drinking a lot and handling a LOT of defoliation like a champ... And tomorrow, she turns 8 weeks old... I'm thinking she's going to run for another 5 weeks or so... Buds are rather slow growing at this moment in time but again, I'm not worried about her at all ...

11/3 - Today is technically the first day of Week 5 and also the first day I could see a visible drop in her water level since her last check-in (~12 hours apart). As a result, her ppms shot up to around 800. I diluted the solution with straight tap (7.5pH, 170ppm) since her pH was registering around 5.3. This brought her up to 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would have liked to adjust her pH more, but the water level ended up at the bottom of the basket. I'll adjust further as necessary. The other day while attempting to LST her top branches, they ended up snapping off, so I just topped her down one node and broadened her other LST to make her as squat as possible. Once I am able to find a suitable individual ScrOG screen, I will put it on her. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. The first of which is a visible difference between her foliage density in a span of 36 hours. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 645ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. Grow diary 11 Stage 1 Days 1-10 By day 4 all was looking good, she had plenty of roots coming out the bottom of the cube. Day 6 I transplanted her to the 3 inch rockwool cubes that had been soaked for 15 mins in this stage nutrient solution and left to drain for 15 mins, then she went into the bigger propagator. Day 10 she had no roots coming out the bottom of the 3 inch cube yet. Over the last few days she has been getting more exposure to the fan, with the lid of the propagator the humidity is on the low side, but i want to get some air movement around her. She has also grown o.k over the last 10 days. She looks healthy enough and is where I would expect her to be in growth. DAY 35 Flowering: A good week for bud growth this week and plenty of light to reach all those tucked away bud sets too. The room looks so full now with the monster sized Strawberry Pie dominating the canopy and pushing the height limits. All of the buds on these two girls , including the secondaries, are a good size with so much vigerous pistil growth going on now that they look like their own plants. These girls need a lot of room to benefit from their natural size proportions and this was AFTER I used tip spreading to keep them lower !!!. Not sure the plant took me serious now !!. Lol I could not be more impressed with these at this point and I can see 2 potential auto personal bests forming.... The Six Shooter #1 is a nice sized lady too. Inhave had to do a little bending and rescuing on a couple of branches as they were too far out of light and also blocking other growth but she looks good on node spacing too so should have some nicely stacked colas at harvest time. Her sister #2 is half her size but has a lot of side growth to compensate thankfully. Being so low down compared to the other 5 plants has thankfully not been too much if an issue thanks to the FC3000 being so penetrative. Even the buds at the very back of the grow ate getting ample light to really bang the weight on from feeding and converting. Both of the six shooter are starting to colour up with orange hairs now and it does look like they could be the 1st to finish at this point. Mexican Airline are developing steadily. The #1 is rmteying toncatch upnwith bud production now but her long node lengths suggest she will be more clumps of flowers than stacks , her yield will no doubt be far lower than her sisters due to her slow start and progress but she still looks like she could pull through with some decent nugs. #2 has a lot shorter nodes and should look a little more spikes hopefully. They are showing one or two amber hairs now at just past the halfway point so we are doing ok. Lol All in all , I am loving this run of plants and the light has performed so well considering the canopy difference. Until next time. Be well Growmies.

Whew, what a hot, humid and wet week. Although we had a major storm this week, Zamnesia Mango Kush proved her strength to withstand all of the elements that have continued to be thrown her way. This week I took the time to go the Zamnesia Website and read about some of her characteristics. I wanted to read up on her because I had been giving her Miracle Grow nutrients and didn't feel like she was my best grow. As a result, I have made an executive decision to give her Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice Grow. I am hoping this will help Zamnesia produce great big buds. On another note, My Zamnesia Mango Kush is only 31 inches tall, whereas Zamnesia Seeds says it should boast a height of 39 inches for an outdoor grow. I am excited to see what the next couple of week will produce. Miss Zamnesia Mango Kush has definitely proven to be resilient because we have had some terrible tough weather to deal with during this grow and Mango Kush has stood the test of time.
