MicroHidroGrow Well, to not lose anyone, the system I manage is with two indoors in parallel. One in flowering and the other growing the mother. I grow the mother until I can take cuttings from her. Then they move to the other indoor, the mother and the cuttings, and that's where flowering begins. And right there, the new mother starts in the small indoor. The strain is from an Argentine seed bank that I don't know if it still exists. It's called "kali seeds" and the strain is superhaze. Theoretically, it has about 10 weeks of flowering. Day 01. I put the plant in to force myself to finish the prototype. In this case, I decided to use pallet wood and some other things I found on the street. I'm almost done with everything, but I still need to put together the closures. I'm not going to make doors since it's not centered, so I'm using a microfiber cloth that helps to block a lot of light and was cheaper than blackout. Plus, it's waterproof and will serve for a new safety mechanism for leaks that I want to implement. It's pretty simple, but it solves a lot for me. Today there's not much more to show. Once I finish it, I'll start showing how it turns out. I'm not going to get caught up with the tsp. I'll put what I used here. Now I put a liter of water with a little less than 1g of Feeding Grow from Greenhouse. At least for now, since I need to buy meters because mine are no longer reliable. Day 4. I'm finishing up setting up the indoor. I lined it with refractory material and installed the "doors," which are actually blackout-type fabrics, but much thinner. I still need to finish organizing the electricity so that each sector has its timer. There will be 3 different timers. On one side, there will be lights and ventilation for flowering (12hrs). On the other side, air pumps, water pump, and probably flowering fans (15 min/hr). And finally, light and ventilation for the mother module (18hrs). I changed the reservoir to a 5-liter one, as I plan to try to maintain the same solution for the next 10 days (I kept the ratio of 1g/L of feeding grow). The plant had an attack from a pest that went for its first leaves. Luckily, I put diatomaceous earth at the moment, and it seems to have stopped. But you can see the yellowing at the tips. I'm not worried since in hydroponics, those problems get resolved, and the plant recovers quickly. Now I'll have to keep monitoring, as I had forgotten to disinfect the indoor, which I did after this attack. I have faith that by the time it reaches a month and a half of growth, it will be ready to cut some cuttings. Day 07. For now, the growth is coming along quickly, as it usually does in hydroponics. In a few days, I'll be doing the apical cut. Anxiety is getting to me, but I still have faith. This week I need to buy a couple of additives and meters that I'm missing. But everything is already on track.

MicroHidroGrow Day 09. Second week of growth. The plant is still growing at a good pace. I'm going to add a growth bio-stimulant and some microorganisms soon. I’ll probably do the apical pruning this week too. Day 14. I did the apical cut on day 10. It's already recovered and growing. For now, I'm keeping the solution. Tomorrow I'll definitely change it and add a growth bio-stimulant. I still haven't gone to get the bacteria, but I have to go this week for sure. I'm going to start preparing the top for when the cuttings arrive. But once I cut, I have two weeks of rooting. So there's still some time left. But everything is on track.

MicroHidroGrow Day 18. I'm in the 3rd week of growth. I applied HST on the two tall branches to equalize the height with the other two. So far, everything is going smoothly. There was just a bit of stress with some slightly wrinkled leaves due to excess nutrients. So today I diluted the solution with a bit of water. In 3 or 4 weeks, I should be ready to cut the cuttings I'll need for the complete system. Initially, I'm going to use a module I already had set up that I made with a plastic drawer. That's for 4 cuttings and the mother plant. But it's too small for the space I have. So I'll use this one for now and then set up one for 9 or 7 plants. We'll see how comfortable it is with 5 plants for now, because I might prefer to do 7 comfortable plants rather than squeeze in 9 and then not be able to manage the space. The idea is to have the mother in the middle and the cuttings around. Day 21. I sprayed the plant with diatomaceous earth as a preventive measure. I'm still applying HST to make the lower branches take the lead, since they will be the cuttings I use. Anyway, I'm noticing in the growth that the genetics aren't well stabilized. The Argentine seed banks have been a disappointment in every planting I've done so far, so I wouldn't be surprised if this one is too. I'm considering the idea of switching the plant to flowering as it is in the big indoor setup and starting with a European genetics I have saved for the next round. Because taking unnecessary risks would cost me a lot of time. For now, I'm keeping the solution, as I usually make it last 10 to 15 days during growth. Mainly when the plant is under 4 weeks old. This week starting, I'll decide what to do with this genetics. By the way, I'll upload a video with the almost finished setup of the indoor. But when it's running, it will be better understood.

MicroHidroGrow Day 26. We're in the 4th week. For now, I'm maintaining the solution and the plant keeps growing, but it's almost time to cut the cuttings. Next week, I'm definitely cutting, and I need to prepare everything to move to the other module of the indoor setup. I decided to stop applying HST and used a technique with hangers that lower the branches and keep them perpendicular to the floor. This way, the lateral branches start to rise. This technique has given me very good results in the past. The growth has been accelerated and the branches are quite thick. Tomorrow I'm going to change the solution. I'm really happy with the results. This experiment will allow me to know how much I can get out of this space and see if it lets me set up a cycle to reach the next harvest with some leftovers to store different varieties. By the way, I already have a reference for how many weeks it takes to be able to cut cuttings, and thus know when to put the next seed. I put some random seeds I had, and I'm planning to send them to the terrace to flower directly in the winter. Another experience that, while it hasn't yielded great results, has added to the stock. Last week I didn't get to post much. But tomorrow I'll do an update on how the lower branches have moved. In the last video, you can see well the branches I intend to turn into cuttings. I'm sure I'll take several, so there will be some to share if we manage to get them to root. By the way, the white spots you see are diatomaceous earth that has remained since the application in the 2nd week. Day 28. The 4th week of growth ends with a very good pace. Today I changed the solution and kept the previous formulation (1g/L of feeding grow and 0.5g/L of green jungle growth bio-stimulant). The plant is strong and branched. I maintain that the cuttings will be taken a little earlier than expected. Calculating that it's 5 weeks of growth and 1 week of rooting cuttings, I'm going to take 6 weeks to prepare the next mother. So, since this variety has about 10/11 weeks of flowering, I'm going to start growing the new mother in the 4th week of flowering. The plant has short/medium internodal distance from what I observe, so that's a detail to keep in mind. I'm starting to feel anxious to see everything coming along, and I want to move to flowering already. It's going to be a new experience to grow a plant from seed in hydroponics, as I always just did cuttings and moved the mother to soil to flower elsewhere, because I couldn't remove it from the system I have now due to the roots. But I resolved that, and I'm going to see for the first time the power of hydroponics in a plant from seed. I made an apical cut on the two longest branches hoping to see more branching, as I have a space of 1.2m x 0.55m to fill and manage. I hope everything keeps going smoothly. See you in the 5th week starting tomorrow.

MicroHidroGrow Day 32. This week I cut the cuttings. Day 30 of growth. I took 8 and put them to root in rock wool, inside half a 6L bottle covered with another half. I’m maintaining the solution from the previous week. So far the plant looks very good. In a week, I hope to have roots and move them to the upstairs indoor with the mother. The setup of the space is going to be a challenge since the mother has very open branches. At first thought, I suppose I’ll have the sides occupied by the mother and guide the 4 cuttings to take up the center of the indoor. Anyway, I’ll definitely apply training techniques and/or cuts on the cuttings. Once upstairs, I plan to give them a week of growth and see, based on their size, if I’ll move them to flowering. I want to take advantage of the first grow to have a reference for space and size. Time is passing faster than I imagined, and seeing the changes so quickly has helped. I must admit I’m a bit obsessive, and that makes me more of a fan of hydroponics since the grow is cleaner and much faster to grow. Now I have to wait and see. I’ll upload a video with the finished setup, and that way, you can understand the idea. Sorry for those who don't speak Spanish, but I’ve made the video in Spanish. Anyway, you can see and understand the setup. I’m proud of what I was able to put together using pallet wood and others that I also found on the street. Most of the equipment I had from other indoors I’ve had. There will be updates on the progress soon. But surely by the time the cuttings are rooted, I’ll be in the 6th week of growth and reach the 7th adding what I do to grow the plants upstairs. I already anticipate that the next grow will be with the Black Jack from Sweet Seeds, although I only have one left, and I hope to be able to germinate it successfully. If not, I’ll have to go out and buy another variety, and in Argentina, there isn’t much variety. I wouldn’t want to fall back into BSF. Cheers!

MicroHidroGrow Day 36. We are in the 6th week. The cuttings got delayed because it has been very cold, and I haven't been able to root them. I decided to turn on the air extractor along with the air pump, so it only runs for 15 minutes every hour. This way, I'm managing to achieve temperatures above 24°C indoors, and I will be able to get the rooting done. The plant is already big enough to take up almost the entire indoor space. But the important thing is that I'm guiding it, and I'm already projecting how each branch will grow. The size will exceed what I expected, but I still believe that if I achieve what I have in mind, I'm going to get very good results. I'm not going to take too many risks, so if in 10 days from now, I haven't managed to root the cuttings, I'll just switch the mother to flowering alone. As you can see, the branches are quite thick, and each of the branching is finding its place. The roots are too big, although I know I will be able to put the plant in the upper system anyway, although I will have to use something to help me get them in. It's important not to use your hands, as many fungi can be transmitted that way. I will keep updating and see what happens. But we are already in the final days of growth, whether or not there are cuttings. I might even move the plant to the upper indoor space to give it more freedom to grow. This will help me take into account the next batch that will come. The idea is to do things quickly, and not on a large scale. But since I'm already in the dance, I have no choice but to dance. Day 40 The cuttings weren't rooting, so I decided to move them and put them under the light, where they get warmth and soft light. I hope they take now. And today was the big day, I moved the mother plant to the upper module. But I'm going to leave it growing for another week. That way, I can see if the cuttings manage to root in time. Also, I had a problem during the transplant. First, the plant grew bigger than expected, and so did the root. When I moved it, the root came into contact with practically everything nearby. Plus, it got tangled in the oxygenator, so there was a diffuser stone stuck in the root. Given the high risk of having contaminated it with some fungus, I put a solution of water with hydrogen peroxide, continuously recirculating, to wash the roots and also reduce the transplant stress. Tomorrow we'll see how the day starts. From this experience, I've learned that for the mother, it's better to make a cut at the first node, or leave the branches from the second and remove those from the first. That way, only two branches remain, to then leave the cuttings in the middle. That's what I plan to do with the next variety. In the meantime, I'm just worried that the root didn't get contaminated during the transfer. In 8 days, I will be switching to flowering if there are no cuttings. If they manage to root, we will need to give a few days of growth until they catch up to the mother in height. But everything is now in definition. Now I just have to wait and keep guiding the plant. I'm already eager to start the next one, but there's still quite a bit of time for that. I have 10 weeks of flowering, so I will only put the new mother in 5 weeks.

MicroHidroGrow Day 45. The cuttings have started to root. I added 2 to the system and tomorrow I'll add the other 2. After that, we'll have to wait a week or two for them to reach a height that matches the mother, and then it's off to flowering. The plant got too big while waiting for the cuttings. In fact, for next time, I'm going to have to rethink the setup to use. Because this is too big and it loses the real spirit of what indoor growing is. The original idea was 10 cuttings. The mother used to go into soil to flower elsewhere. But I thought I'd take advantage of it, and in the end, it turns out to be almost the same as putting the plant in without cuttings. So I'm going to carefully consider what setup to use next time and better estimate the timing. In the meantime, I just hope to be able to switch to flowering as soon as possible. Otherwise, this is going to get really complicated with the available space.

MicroHidroGrow Day 50 I already have the 4 cuttings growing alongside the mother. I did a very strong LST on the mother, bending and running many branches to give light to the cuttings. The size of the trunks is very large. But if the organization I have planned goes well, everything will make great use of the space. In a week, I hope the cuttings will reach the height of the mother and flowering will begin. Honestly, it took me much longer than expected. But I think it will be worth it. Today I added mycorrhizae from a supplier that makes them suitable for hydroponics. I just need to go pick up the efficient microorganisms. I already had to put 18 liters in the reservoir since the plant is eating a lot. Flowering is coming soon, and it will be the moment of truth. The only downside is that it's very cold where I have the plants, and I can't get temperatures above 24°C. Anyway, I hope this cold wave doesn't last too long. The growth phase is almost over. Day 53 Today I did a very strong defoliation and cut several shoots. I've already determined which cuttings to remove and which branches will stay. If they keep up this pace, by the end of this week, they'll switch to flowering. Only one cutting is delaying its growth. But I think it will be fine. I tied down the 6 selected branches and let the cuttings stretch for a few more days. There are about 14 cuttings I plan to take. And there will be 22 branches left. There are 2 that I don't know what to do with, so in total, I have 38 "heads." I will keep 1 or 2 of the cuttings to maintain the variety. I put them in soil so that the growth is slower. The rest I always end up giving away. Soon I'll be seeing how much they stretch during flowering.

MicroHidroGrow Day 59. The cuttings are catching up to the mother, except for one of them. Anyway, in 5 to 7 days I'm switching to flowering. It's going to get pretty difficult since I have to tie the plants down a lot, and it seems like it's going to be very strong and tough. But anyway, this experience taught me that I need to sort out the cutting of the cuttings earlier. In the meantime, for now, I'm not starting with a new mother, since it will be at least 10 weeks of flowering. And I won't be able to keep a mother for that long in the low module. Now it's just a matter of waiting. I changed the nutrient to feeding hybrids, added mycorrhizae again, and stopped giving feeding grow and the green jungle growth booster. I'm starting to think I could already add the bud blood, but I probably won't.

MicroHidroGrow Day 01 today was the first day with 12 hours of darkness. I had to do an apical cut on the cuttings since they grew too tall while we were waiting for the smaller one. I think it has arrived now, so in the coming days we should see how much it grows. I'm going to try to keep this more updated now.

MicroHidroGrow Day 16. So far, the plants are still stretching. Today I did a heavy defoliation. This stage makes me anxious because I want to start seeing the first hairs of the flowers. But it's moving pretty slowly. I guess I'm going to have to wait a little longer than 10 weeks for the harvest. But I'm not discouraged either.

MicroHidroGrow Day 22. The stretching is starting to become more noticeable. Some white pistils are just beginning to appear. It seems to be quite sativa, and it's going to take longer than the 10 weeks predicted. Anyway, that makes me change my nutrient routine a bit, and I’m going to see if I opt for some additions. I couldn't keep the diary updated earlier due to a move, but combining this recipe with big bud gave me very good results. Anyway, for the fattening, I was gifted a nutrient suitable for hydroponics that is made in Mexico, and I understand it gives good results. So let's try the combination and see the results. I'll use the overdrive later on.

MicroHidroGrow Day 30. The flowers have started to appear. I started using bud blood and began to use big bud and other advanced supplements I had at home. The space compared to what I planned got out of hand, so I'm going to have to modify the setup for the next batch. I'll have to build a slightly more comfortable system with PVC pipes. I estimate that the ideal will be 6 cuttings plus the mother in a corner. Just like I did with the Jamaican Dream, although this time the mother is in hydro. I hope to start seeing the first sugar leaves come out, as those are the ones that will save me before the harvest.

MicroHidroGrow Day 55. Almost done. I'm going to have to review the setup. But luckily, with a base stock, I can plan the future grow with more peace of mind. The seed for the next one just finished sprouting. It took over 2 weeks, but with the adverse weather, it worked out. Now I'm going to get some cuttings from a friend and prepare the next batch and see if I add the mother plant I'm working on. In any case, I'll save some cuttings to keep maintaining and prepare for the next one.
