Well its another update from down under.. and things are getting better with the Caramelo. She got badly burnt from my mistake of using too strong lime sulfur spray to treat spider mites and mold issues before they could take hold. And its kinda worked. lols...the mites are still there but reduced alot in number but I was almost ready to chop her after I saw how badly burnt all her new shoots were. But Im glad I decided to wait a bit as she has recovered faster than expected and while im sure she still has issue at the root level from the rain drenching her for near on a week- she basically stunted after that and never showed much stretch at all when switching to flower-she grew maybe 15cms in height total after that so Im assuming some kind of root rot has her and any harvest will be a bonus. In saying that Im still not going to be suprised if she suddenly dies or gets badly infected with bud rot out of the blue as Im nursing her hard just to get her to this stage and in my experience a nursed plant may produce a yield but it will be weaker than its meant to be and reduced by around 50% of the yield you should have got. if she was indoor id have ripped her out after the sighs she was stunted presented and started over with a new plant. But out doors I dont have that luxury so I will nurse her thru and hope for the best but expect less than average results. Zkittles though is loving life and just LOOK at her!! When you realize she was the same size as the Caramelo when the rain hit and now look at the difference- thats why i say when you see obvious signs of stunting-rip the plant if you can and start over, it may recover but if it was serious then the plant will never show its true potential and you may think those genetics are shit. Ive never grown the Caramelo before now so if i judge it on this result I will say the genetics are shit when the plant likely had root rot from 3 weeks before even switching to flower. And the BC buds hash plant is FINALLY flowering too now. For a 90% indica it sure is taking the longest to flower. I wonder if its the old school genetics at play here-This strain been around since the 70's while the ZkittleZ is a modern hybrid so maybe the newer genetics really are all they are cracked up to be. Thats why I love doing side by side grows out doors with diff genetics and see what they can really do. You should see my mates BC hashys- lmao, he said he wanted bigger plants than last year as he got "bonsai" plants from someone else. Now he has to tie down trees that are growing over his 6ft fence!! And they only just went into flower last week. But on that note- Will update more now as things progress towards harvest. The wedding cake has a sweet, earthy Almost vanilla like smell and the cereal milk has a very pungent cookies sweet smell with hints of fruityness. So far so good cant wait to see how these turn out. Been told they are 8-9 week flowering strains from other people who have grown the same Cuttings so not long left!

Well its a late update from down under.. and its been shit. No other words for it. After all that un seasonal tropical rain a month back my Caramelo was hating life with water logged roots and was wilting badly for more days than id like, she recovered just fine... or so I thought. Thats when I noticed the Spider mites and a small patch of mould rot on a pre flower bud, so I grabbed my trusty Lime Sulfur bottle and made up what I THOUGHT was my usual 1/2 strength mix to use.....But turns out due to a new smaller bottle and me using the wrong mix to start with (I normally use 1/2 the 30ml per lt mix for seedlings even on fully mature plants to avoid burning em, But I used the 50mls per ltr ratio at what I thought was 1/2 strength) AND my old bottle turns out to be 1.25ltrs and my new one was 750mls!! So long story finalized is I used 1.25 X the normal strength mix and burnt the shit out of ALL new shoots and pre flowers. Thus why im only posting a vid of the cat with the ZkittleZ who is loving life harder than any plant Ive had before -So will be focusing a bit more on her for a while now.

Bud sites are becoming more pronounced. Many are already showing trichome crystals week 2 into flowering! I'll have to continue to keep an eye & defoliate as needed to make sure all bud sites receive light.

2/14: Decreased distance between the lights and canopy. Let the maximum swell commence! 2/16: Fed today..increased sugars/carbs. This was probably the last feeding with Beastie Bloomz..switching to Cha Ching at next feed and cutting back on the One.

I started to train with a base I purchased from @supherpanda. I didn’t want to put any holes in my bag which is why I went with the base. I also did some fimming. We will see what the outcome is.

Hi Growers. So all 3 FastBuds Blue Dream Auto seeds popped in less than 3 days. I’ve left them uncovered, added a humidifier and turned a fan on low to just to give them a little wiggle. They were sprayed and lightly watered in a 4” circle around the stalks to have those roots go search for water. One of the seeds hulls is still stuck to the cotyledon leaves. I’ve been spraying it to keep the membrane moist and hopefully she’ll split it open by herself. In the past when I’ve tried to remove them they cause damage to the leaves so we’ll wait and see. Just gonna give them some time and mist for a week and start super low feeding according to the FastBuds auto feed schedule. I’m looking forward to seeing these babies grow!!! Happy Growing 🌱

2/7: Did a thorough feeding today, and also foliar fed with Microlife Maximum Blooms. Added humic acid. I spotted a couple of nanners on the main cola of the older/paler one and they had already popped... 😒 Might be some interesting hybrid beans in the garden, but hopefully the recent foliar feedings killed off any stray pollen before much damage was done to the crop. 2/12: Fed today..no time for anything else..

had an issue with ph right after transplant, not sure if water was off or soil had a surge. im thinking fish tank water ph was way low. issue corrected. Removed some leaves for structure and airflow. LST and FIM. See what it looks like next week.

I'm not a big fan of gelato strech, she's a tall girl, had to supercrop a few more tops.

All going well now, just lowered my setup by 35cm to gain more space for the ladies... also now my reservoir is below the cabin instead of inside, so much cooler water now (in fact I had to pace a heater to avoid temperature below 18˚C)
