๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธCultivation Journal โ€“ Week 4 of Vegetative Growth (End) Iโ€™m really not satisfied with the plant; it seems weak and lacks vitality. Its development is quite slow, and I suspect the nighttime temperatures might be dropping too low. However, even the mother plant of this strain doesnโ€™t show great growth, so Iโ€™m thinking the phenotype might not be very good. To avoid wasting more time, Iโ€™ve decided to switch it to flowering today, setting the light cycle to 12-12. I also replaced the nutrient solution, preparing 20 liters with the ingredients required for flowering. Knowing this strain stretches a lot, I applied LST (Low Stress Training) to bend the tops. Unfortunately, I broke one of the four apexes, so now there are only three left. Even though Iโ€™m not happy with this plant or the mother plant, Iโ€™ll finish this grow and move on to another strain afterward.

Magnificent plant! Sooo, sooo resinous, covered in trichomes and smells super-citrusy - kind of like lemon scented Geranium ๐Ÿ‹ Small but mighty hard buds. This is one of the most trichome producing flowers I have ever seen. I'm in love ๐Ÿ˜ Breeder did great job here!

26.12.24: These are my 2 best plants P1 and P2 Purple Punch, they are looking great! Not sure what happened to P3. They are in early flower/ pre-flower with the pistils clearly seen on P2. I am also hoping to tie some of the branches down to help light penetration on the lower canopies. I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! ๐Ÿ˜ there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. Thanks for checking out my diary ๐Ÿƒ โœŒ๏ธ

30.12.24: So I finally became brave enough last night to use LST on my grow for the first time. Watermelon ๐Ÿ‰ is doing much better than the other plants were at this stage, and still better than one that's 7 weeks old already! I'm very pleased with this strain and phenotype so far. As I've implemented the LST much earlier for her, I'm very excited to see what happens in the next couple of weeks ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Thanks for checking out my diary ๐Ÿ™‚๐ŸƒโœŒ๏ธ
