Here we are in week six of flower and not a lot has happen this week other than the usual watering and letting her do her thing. Only trouble this week was updating GoPro had to try a few times. Other than that we got some rain in my home town and collected about 60 gallons that I'm going to use to finish the rest of the grow. Also, got my new AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T4, Quiet Inline Duct Fan System with Temperature and Humidity Controller, 4-Inch. I was really hoping this two plants would finish before the year ended, however, it looks like they got others plans. See you guys next week.

Week 6 and we are reaching for the skies! LOL...it's a good thing but also bad...as she is starting to get light burn on the top main cola...my light is the highest it can be so I'm hoping that the Fox Farms Nutrient, Open Sesame, stops the stretch and focuses more on bud development. She will get fed on Friday! I absolutely love watching my Runtz grow, I want massive trees in my tent now...I used to go crazy with the LST during veg weeks 4-5 and introduced open sesame earlier because I never wanted tall plants before...my first grow had tons of light burn and my tent is tiny!!! Just a little 2 x 4......but now I am steering that way...I just think the tent looks more beautiful....tall lengthy trees as opposed to short stumpers which is what I have been growing from the start :P Went in with some more LST...at week 6 is usually when I try to go minimal on the manipulation but with how lanky she is...I think there's more room for some surprise colas to make an appearance! Also, I took the SCROG netting out...I want more experience with growing before I start messing with new growing techniques..if you made it this far into reading wow congrats! LOL and Happy Valentine's Day....it's a day about love...loving yourself, your family, your pets, and of course your PLANTS!

Week after week, through careful nutrition, TrolMaster monitoring, and endless observation, we watched them evolve. From the early stages of vegetative vigor, through the lush canopy of mid-flower, and even through the challenges of heat and bud rot, these girls showed true resilience. Each setback taught something — about balance, airflow, humility, and the living rhythm of nature. Both plants were ultimately harvested with respect and gratitude. ⸻ ✂️ Harvest & Trimming After about two weeks of slow drying at 60°F / 60% RH, the branches began to snap — a sure sign the moisture was just right. Each plant was trimmed by hand, carefully and patiently, letting every calyx, pistil, and trichome tell its own story. The buds were dense, sticky, and heavily frosted — a trimmer’s delight. Finger hash collected along the way was pure gold, rich in aroma and bursting with terpenes. Each snip of the scissors felt like sculpting something sacred. Both plants were dried whole, allowing for slower moisture migration and a smoother final cure. ⸻ 🌿 On Trichomes and Harvest Timing We chose to harvest when most trichomes were cloudy, with only a few still clear and very few amber. This moment — just before full amber maturity — is where potency meets flavor at its peak. Why cloudy trichomes? Because that’s when cannabinoids like THC and terpenes are at their maximum activity. Too early, and you lose potency; too late, and THC starts converting into CBN, giving a heavier, sleepier effect. Cloudy trichomes deliver a balanced high — euphoric yet grounding — capturing the essence of the strain in its full potential. ⸻ 🌸 Aroma, Taste & Effects The Lava Cake lives up to her name and lineage. Hey everyone! Another week down for the Mental Rainbows, and the two that have always shown that extra gear have absolutely exploded in terms of height and volume. What excites me most is that their stems have thickened up proportionally. They look invincible and ready to produce some seriously impressive colas. The other two, the ones that struggled from the very beginning, simply haven't kept pace. They're in good health overall, no complaints there, but they haven't grown like their sisters and inside the box they're clearly the underdogs. It is what it is. On the feeding side, EC has been nudged up by 0.1 as runoff was consistently reading below input values. On the environmental front, VPD is still something I'm actively managing as humidity keeps climbing beyond what the dehumidifier can handle alone. If it stays above 65% heading into the final weeks, a second unit will be joining the setup to protect bud quality and density at harvest. First pistils have started showing up, so bud formation is officially underway and Big Bud is now part of the stack to support it. Can't wait to update you all next week. Upper growth slowed for about a week or two and root developed, but then the top started growing, and branches started forming. Leaves started getting bigger.

Hello Growmies, The first week of flowering has wrapped up, and I'm pleased to report that she's stretched evenly through the ScrOG. I've been doing some light defoliation where leaves were overshadowing other shoots. She's showing a clear preference for a pH below 6. Anytime it creeps above that, the plant begins to experience nutrient lockout. I'm keeping a close eye on this and will adjust the pH as necessary. Eternity Grow Cup 2025 with Plagron and Zamnesia 🌱 Runtz - Zamnesia Seeds We’ve reached week 12 from seed and week 8 of flowering, and our beauty is still thriving, thanks to the incredible nutrients from Plagron. Last week, we harvested a small bud from a middle branch, and after trying it, we were blown away by the flavor and strength—it’s delicious and packs a punch! Now, as we enter the final stage, we’ve begun flushing with water, but not just any water. We’re using a special homemade feed made from the very leaves we trimmed off, blended into a rich solution to give back to the plant in its last days. Plagron has been a game-changer for us, boosting not only growth but resin production, ensuring the buds are dense, sticky, and full of flavor.

New update for week 12, concluding week 8 of flowering: Hi(gh) Folks! Thanks everyone for your input on my second grow question. I’m going for HighTV’s answer, the SOG with 9x4 main buds. Very nice to get everyone’s input on this, appreciate it! So another week done! They got their last nutrients Tuesday and on Thursday the 5 early ladies from Hempire got their first round of plain acidulated water. I flushed them a bit on Friday and Saturday to. Now they can dry out for a couple of days. I will flush them for the upcoming week and let them dry out before harvest next weekend. Im counting on them to swell up even further during this week. As for the rest of the 4 plants from Hempire, 4 from Royal Queen Seeds and 3 from Hy-Seeds, I will treat them as if this is another week 8, and they will get another dose of Flowering nutrients and PK. Then next week I will start to flush them also. I will have 2 full weeks to flush and let them dry out until my planned harvest on Saturday 5 January. I’m not even sure that will be early enough for the 4 RQS’s since they look like they have even more bud-growing to do, before they can start swelling! I will keep an eye on that. The 5 tall ladies, 2 from Hempire and 3 from Hy-Seeds show the nice thick Kushy buds i’m craving for, can’t wait to see the becoming nice and heavy! On the photos you see the slight diverence between the pheno’s, the left 2 plants grew the popcorn-buds on a stem, and the right ones have nice thick popcornbuds against the stem’s. The other to remaining Hempire plants also show these, apart from the early ladies offcourse. The early birds show a little stretching buds and nice purple colours.
