Harvest day for this girl!!! Only 50g dry but it could have been much worse had I not scraped 2" of the depleted soil she was in and replaced with fresh compost in week 3. This has actually been a turning point in my growing and learning. She is a fab high sativa strain. Very frosty.

as it is so important to let the plant develop its roots, i wait a few weeks to do the first topping so the plant has better conditions to recover. The topping helps to stimulate the growth of the plant itself. This method may "stress" the plant but actually stimulates it. But doing this we are delaying its growth, that is, it takes a little longer. But no problem! This OGgelato is a champ! Not the heaviest producer, but its been a real pleasure and was easy to grow. No matter what nutrients I throw at her, or aggressive pruning, she bounces right back. This week I found bud rot on one of my other plants in the greenhouse but this plant has so far been resistant and is healthy. I thinned the canopy and defoliated out quite a bit to create more air flow. I now have fans on 24/7 and sprayed with a mycorrizhal fungicide that suppresses botrytis. Also this week I have stopped pulling the tarp on and off each night (for total darkness) because it seemed to trap in too much humidity at night. The humidity outside has been 80-90% for over a week! And the rain was so heavy all last week. This week is slightly warmer with less rain so hoping we can make it. The trichomes are starting to get milky. I imagine I have 1-2 weeks left but am not sure. This has been a pleasurable experience for sure, but this is stressful right now! The smell is so strong you can smell it on my block. You can see *everything* from the alleyway adjacent to the greenhouse. I'm worried about mold and thiefs and can not wait for this to be dried and in jars!

Started the week with a flush and have been preparing for flower/ recovering from some stress. Trying out the flush to see how good of a response I get to flower nutrient uptake...open for advise. Ive been doing a lot of research and am just doing what seems rite to me as I continue to learn, this is 1st time ever training or applying a feed schedule to a plant I started Foliar Feeding daily this week with Bush Dr Flower Kiss by fox farm and have noticed the plant really liking it. I changed up my Cal mag to advanced nutrients Cal mag Xtra because it seems to have everything my plant was telling me I was missing recently, I like that it replaces the Kelp me Kelp you by fox farm (recommended in the FF nutrient schedule) and gives you slightly stronger doses of cal mag my plant seems to like now.

Alaskan Purple Auto is growing great under the Medic Grow Mini Sun-2. She got a solution change today that is geared towards blooming. She also had a selective defoliation done to make sure cola sites are getting good light. She has been stacking, and getting ready to start bulking soon. Everything is looking good. She did start to show some potassium deficiency is why I changed the solution. It was also due. 🤞🏻 I didn't juice her too much on the change. Buds are starting to fatten up, I guess harvest is gonna be in 2 weeks, maybe longer. Trichomes we're cloudy with almost no amber so I took the opportunity to harvest before they started to turn amber. The smell from them all is unique, all four are different from one another in both smell and appearance.

Day 22 - Rolling into week 4 looking mean and green! 💪 I need to make a decision on what kind of training I want to dish out to this lady. She's growing a bit faster than her tent mates. Day 23 - Always experimenting - today I begin my first mainline! I've already built the foundation by allowing the plant to grow to 6 nodes, as recommended by the tutorial I followed by the brilliant Miss Nebula Haze @growweedeasy. My next step is documented here in a video, as I take my lush, happy, healthy plant, and give her the kind of haircut that makes you want to storm out of the salon without leaving a tip. 😂 I even managed to get in my signature branch snap early in the game - being held together now with duct tape. 🤦‍♀️ In all seriousness though, I'm thrilled to be trying this out, despite the agony of cutting down my plant to nothing but a stump and antennae. I've seen some great growers create some serious masterpieces using this method, and damn it my curiosity is taking control! Here's to learning something new! Day 27 - Came home from vacation to find that my plant had hulked through the duct tape that held her snapped branch together... I guess she's doing well. ☺️ Over the course of the past few days her branches have gotten notably thicker! 💪 Day 28 - Now that each new main stem has grown out, I removed all the growth tips from below the 3rd node on each side. I left the fan leaves in tact to give plant access to extra energy as she pushes through this intense training. I softened the branches with my fingers, very slowly, to tie down my new main stems horizontally across the net basket. I took a sterilized x-acto knife to then top each of my two main stems at the 3rd node on each side, leaving me with a beautifully symmetrical base to my masterpiece.

there was a lot of rain and temp between 14C- 20C .. so she was inside this weekend, most of the time, on my windowsill to keep warm.. yesterday she could go in garden again, but in safehouse..becouse i did not want to make purple rain! 😎👊 But still she has grown very nicely..👍 she is now enjoying the sunrays, on my garden table, she has missed all weekend!🙌 She looks very cute, but dont forget, she is still a lil'girl.. (so dont be a pedo, 😆.. girls are cute, women are beautiful.. #justsaying 😜..) The plant grow so fast you could almost see it happening. It was resistant to drought and handled anything I threw it's way. I highly recommend this strain. The best grow techniques are main-lining or topping, from my experience.
