Day 28 - The plant is growing well. This week I did some LST and trim few leafs that cover younger branches. I did rise the light up so the plant can stretch more.

I can't wait until we have more! Week 10

The greatest diary continues.. Dogs on dogs on dogs

[Week 1 - Germination] The Fat Banana seed has germinated and looks very healthy. Very small leaves have appeared in the past two days!

Barneys Farm Red Diesel Revegged Cutting 4 weeks of Flowering completed 10th March 2020 Man this smell brings back all the good memories of the last time I grew this strain. 😍 I'ts pure Gas and still the best smelling Diesel variety I have tried so far. It's also tasty as all fuck and I was surprised and saddened to see that Barneys were discontinuing it as a Strain variety 😓 But I suppose if it wasn't a good seller then it had to make room for New stuff and thats also a good thing . Back to this grow and I'm very happy with this plants size considering it started out as a tiny clone from a good Mother and is now looking likely to yield me a few Jars of Top shelf Buds. 🙏 I do worry about what the weather will be doing in about 5-6 weeks time as she's relatively unprotected from heavy rains unless I construct some type of Cover for her. 😏 Checked Soil ph and temp and it was 6.4 and 23 c Also gave a good feed of a few goodies and watered it in well . The native bee's seem to like her too as there's always a few hanging around during the day. Thats it For this week Cheers for taking the time to check out my update 👍

Last lap ! This is the biggest plant a grew, def

End of the grow cycle finally! This one was a test run, I wanted to see the possibilities using liquid nutrients in an Autopot-like system. Firstly, because I got plenty of the nutrients left from the previous grow. Although it is possible to use this method, it’s way too much work. I had to change the water/feed in the tray all the time while I was facing with ph stability issues. The harvest is now in the drying chamber. I will keep you updated with the end results.

Day 40-47 (May 31st- June 7th) (Day 41) For the first time in this grow these plants are looking halfway decent. Smell is ramping up too. I finally feel optimistic about this grow. (Day 42) The two jacks and the chunky blueberry are showing early signs of N/Mg deficiencies. I know it’s late in flower but since I’m experimenting with this tent, I’m going to give them one final feeding of nature’s pride 2-5-5.5 (tbsp) along with a teaspoon of oyster shell flour and some rock dust. Everything else I’m going to give a teaspoon of rock dust and oyster shell. There is no way these amendments will fully break down in time to be used by the plant but they could at least use the pH buffering and trace amounts of minerals after their recent leach. Everything but the BAOGC is covered in pistils that don’t really match their bud size. I hope they fill into their pistils because an over abundance of hairs drops the bag appeal like crazy. Over the last few cycles, indoor and outdoor, I’ve definitely learned that different strains and phenotypes mature at different times. Sometimes really radically too. (Day 43) None of the plants are fading at all but they’re still looking good. Black garlic I know should be fading but remains dark green and toxed. I popped a developing seed out of the main bud too. I wonder if that blueberry herm branch pollinated it at all. It seems like plants don’t really like that Destiny dark matter soil by itself. I find it works better mixed with coco or promix 1:1. (Day 44) I’m starting to think I might be mixing up the TWOG and BAOGC. BAOGC took forever to fatten up last round and the 2 phenos I suspected already look done. I was thrown off by the similar terps. The beauty phenos are definitely TWOG (Day 45) God these Jack Herer’s smell good. Nothing but fruity funk. Almost like a vanilla or blueberry yogurt. I would say this stuff has the most overpowering smell in the tent now. I’ve noticed they’re starting to foxtail like crazy. Blueberry#1 too. I’m watering a final low strength feeding of seaweed extract on everything. (Day 47) Everything really fattened up this week. Even at the beginning of the week I was saying I didn’t think they would fill out. Jack Herer and BAOGC specifically made some big gains and nearly doubled their density and still have quite a way to go on them too! The smell has ramped up and finally, everything is looking happy and healthy.

Getting big

Well due the the massive front brought this girl down last sunday. Lots of lessons i learned this year, many thanx for all the help from everyone. Thinking by tuesday she should be ready to start trim. Did purchace myself a 16” ac infinity bud trimmer yesterday to help me. Peace everyone!

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Bit of a scare with the banana but we're all good I think 👌🏻 Been thoroughly checking each day and still no sign of any more. Shout to everyone who've advised me to just whip it off and keep an eye I was just gonna throw it haha She's a short bushy thing for sure. Really compact. Started stretching nicely and throwing out more pistils each day. Had another trim today she was filling up haha

The grow was going great till the air stone stopped. I got root rot in process and it hurt final size. Super stick, and strong smell or a earthy fruity scent. I had the polyploidy mutation in this plant. I started a clone and have a diary for it on here. I used a Spider Farmer SE5000 light, and New Level Hydro bucket. I also used hygrozyme. Day 9. All is running very nice. Happy with light performace a lot. Girls missed wind a bit, but i cant make it faster, because of neighbours and sound, so i took humidity dome away. TSL2000 runs 40 cm away and on 40% output. Girls get daily shower , try to keep some wet cloth to maintain humidity. Day 12. Thats the happy f@cker in video ;)))) Happy Growing !!!
