Kakui New grow, I planted Jamaican Dream again, this time only doing LST and defoliation, no apical (Main Lining).
I've learned from the mistakes and delays of the previous grow, hoping not to make them in this one.
For this grow, I'll be using nutrients from the Grotek line (mega pack), along with Great White mycorrhizae.
The seeds germinated on the third day after being planted in the substrate, just like the previous grow. I'll wait for them to grow to about 3 nodes before transplanting to final pots of 18 liters.
Germ2, they have stretched enough to remove the plastic, they were watered with osmosis water with CalMag at 0.6 EC and pH 6.5, Great White was sprinkled in the substrate. A humidifier was installed in the indoor and the LED power was lowered to 70-80%.
Germ3, they are kept at 80% humidity at 23 degrees, the substrate is being moistened.
Germ6, they are growing at the expected rate, the substrate was moistened, and the parameters are correct.
Germ8, first watering with Vitamax Pro and SoloTek Grow from Grotek, 0.8 EC, and a bit of Great White powder in the substrate. Growing well.

Kakui Veg3, watering day, they're growing well.
Veg5, watering with 0.9 EC and pH 6.2, great white in the substrate.
Kakui Veg17, watering 1.3 EC and pH 6.1. A very small defoliation and cutting of some nodes was done to start shaping the structure.
Veg18, a couple of hours after the LST, they are already showing the desired structure.
Veg21, LST adjustment.
Veg22, watering pH 6.1 and EC 1.5.

Kakui Veg32, great defoliation and Lollipop, watering with 2.0 EC and 6.2 pH. They are between 25~28 centimeters tall. At this same stage in the previous grow, they were only 20cm, which means that so far the growth has been more efficient.

Kakui I was away for a while without updating the diary because I caught COVID, but now I'm feeling a bit better and I'm back to updating.
Flower14, the plants are growing well, I replaced the 480w LED with 3 240w LEDs, for a total of 720w and better light distribution.
Kakui Flower32, I’m watering with a pH of 6.3 and an EC of 2.8, the plants have very large and dense buds compared to the previous grow, at first glance it seems like I’ll have a bigger harvest in less time, there are still about 3 to 4 weeks left, so there’s still plenty of time for them to keep fattening up.

Kakui Flower35, watering at 6.3 pH and EC 2.8, the buds are pretty big, still about 2 weeks left to keep fattening up, everything points to a bigger harvest than the last one and in less time.

Kakui Flower41, watering with EC 2.6 and pH 6.3, the buds are very thick and dense, definitely this grow should be much more productive than the previous one.
Flower44, watering with EC 2.5 and pH 6.2, just a couple of days away from finishing the process and harvesting.

Kakui F47, watering pH 6.3 and EC 1.5, big and dense buds, the trichomes are already showing milky tones, just a couple of days away from harvest. I lowered the temperature range so that it gets colder at night, and the plants can adapt to the supposed winter that's coming, thus generating more trichomes.
F50, the lower temperatures have increased the trichomes, the buds have increased their density, no changes in size are visible, but some branches are bending due to the added weight. In about 2 more days, the harvest will take place to start the drying process.
Very happy with this strain, since for being a fast-flowering one, it has given me great harvests and quite potent when smoking, I will continue cultivating it in the future.

Kakui By far, this has been my best grow so far. These have been the biggest, densest buds full of trichomes that I've cultivated. Compared to the previous grow where I used the same type of plant, this time was way better. The reasons for the improvement could be several, including more light, as in the previous grow I only had 480w, now it was 720w. I also used stakes and wooden sticks to create a sturdy structure for some plants, and those were the ones that had the biggest buds, so I’ll use that for all the plants in the next grow. Plus, the growing time was reduced from 4 months to about 3 and a half months. Now I just have to wait about 2 weeks for drying and see how much the total harvest was in dry grams. The previous one was 635 grams dry, and I believe this one will be at least around 700 grams dry, it might even surprise me and be much more.
Oh that is one BEAUTIFUL grow! I hope you're all recovered from Covid and have no lingering effects.... These ladies NEED your expert hands! Good luck with both them and your health....
