Getting to end of 3rd week getting ready for defoliation

11/27: harvest day. Well, i have chopped them all down. I trimmed all the bud and put it in seal bags in the freezer. No drying - fresh frozen. Sometime in the next few days i will turn it all into bubble hash. If i had gotten the buds that i wanted I would have dried and cured much of this. But as this is just a typical looking and smelling lemon strain, it all went in the freezer. If not for all of their expectations set by FastBuds, i would likely have loved at least one of the plants. The one labeled PL1 was a monster. It produced over 27oz of trimmed wet bud. The hat is more than the other 3 plants combined. With a total of 53 Oz of trimmed wet bud harvested and frozen. The one that i labeled PL4 was insanely frosty when compared to the other 3 phenos. I have clones of bother PL1 and PL4 that i may consider using for breeding projects where i want a strong lemon. The other two plants were mostly forgettable.

Week 8, the last feed! Defoliated to let more air flow and light penetrate down into the lowers of the plant. Bud's are smaller than i expected at this stage, but they'rr sticky, plant is covered in frost, the pics don't do it justice.

End of Week 6 Added CO2 with regulator and controller! Added the trellis net to spread out the canopy and get more even light to bud sites. The ladies have lost some momentum and they're drinking less because of the pest issue. Although they should be growing faster because of the CO2 supplementation I'm sure when the thrips are gone they will explode. I also performed some HST by removing fan leaves and softly pinching and bending some of the stems to open up the canopy whilst keeping the stress at a minimal. Pest Report: Still fighting the thrips... Every time I spray Bio-Insek and Xterminator (Agro-Organics) it deals with the problem for a few days until the eggs and larvae that the thrips left behind hatch and start munching on the plants again. The ladies are strong and healthy and get a slight wilt when I haven't sprayed IPM for a few days this tells me that its not a major issue but I need to get rid of them especially because I want to flip to flower soon. It seems that the problem is under control. Now I will apply it weekly to make sure those buggers are ELIMINATED.

I started the week by flushing the plants. It was time. The oldest two plants have two weeks max. The run off started at 1900ppm and went down to 400ppm. By that time I had pumped about 60 litres through the four of them. The tap water is already 300ppm, so this is a good level I think. The leaves are responding. I can see the nutrients being drawn out of them. They are withdrawing. I am also looking at trichomes daily now. The mature plants are 1/3 clear, 2/3 cloudy, with a few amber. The younger plants are 2/3 clear, 1/3 cloudy, with no amber. I couldn’t wait any longer. I cropped and chopped 3 buds from under the canopy and dried them slowly on a metal plate over boiling water. It took 1/2 hour, but it produced a nicely dried pile of smelly weed. If I lost any potency in the process we didn’t notice. We got really really stoned. If this sample is any indication, I think it will easily be my best grow yet in terms of potency. Now I’m curious about the weight.

In Tamara her 13 week I prepare her for the Harvest in the next week. Only water no nutrients and lower light. Her night is 2 hours longer. And she … she start with purple her flowers… what a present. I hope the Trichome Check next week will Call Harvest 😉

The RQS liquid kit, look doing the job, not overfert or deficiency sign for the moment. Trichromes look milky, end probably in one or 2 week, Next watering will be flush. Lamp @100% and start to be really close to the plant, but not burning sign for the moment. So this week just a little video of the three cuties. I try to cut off as few leaves as possible and try to do more with LST. It doesn't look very nice, but the fewer leaves you cut, the faster the plant grows....Yes, I know it itches in your fingers to cut every day, but just give your plants a rest. 🔸 Runtz 1 and 2 are doing really well and look just as I imagined. 🌸 WEEK 5 FLOWER – “Aiming for the Moon” Hello, beautiful people! It’s been a busy stretch, but I’m finally back with another exciting update from our Permanent Marker girls — and wow, what a sight they are right now. Both phenos are truly stunning in their own unique ways. • Pheno #1 is aiming for the moon — nearly 2 meters tall, stretching with grace, and starting to show her first flashes of color. The top buds are swelling, pistils glowing bright white, and the early hues are giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. • Pheno #2 stays more compact around 120 cm, with equally gorgeous bud formation — dense, balanced, and full of life. We did a light defoliation this week to open the canopy, helping airflow and light penetration reach deeper into the structure. The goal is simple: give the photons space to dance and the air room to breathe. The results are already visible — the girls look happier, more open, and vibrant. 🌿 Environment & Feeding Conditions are stable now that the AC is up and running (finally!). Temperatures have dropped to a comfortable range, and both phenos seem to love it.
