Week 11 – Day 79 (Flower Day 51) 🔄 General Update Unfortunately, I ran into a nutrient lockout earlier this week – some of you may have seen it in the comments. 📉 The drain pH just won’t go up anymore, even after multiple flushes with light nutrient solution. I’m now down to 50% of the feeding schedule and reduced light intensity to around 600 PPFD to keep stress levels low. ❄️ White Widow – Day 51 of Flower She’s clearly showing signs of the lockout now ⚠️ Still, the buds continue to swell visibly, which is honestly a nice surprise! It seems like she’ll make it to harvest without major damage. Flushing only from now on – harvest is planned for next week. ⚠️ Drain pH is stuck at 5.6 – completely off, but can’t be fixed anymore at this point.

I hope I can get another 2 to 3 weeks of growth out of them , at least out of the tops colas. "Big Bud" or genetics pulling through into fourth week of flower . Smelling fruits and nuts and fuel with a hint of lemon sugar cotton candy.😁

Great veg week. Its an increased nutrient week. Only issue was slightly high ph in soil, so I added a little more vinegar to my water. On previous grows, I would do my LST tie downs on approx day 31-33, but growth was really good, and over 10" on 7 of 9 plants, so tied down early on those 7, on day 28. Great color and stalk girth so far.

Our number #15 is the tallest of the grow, a lanky that seems to fill out well, we always hope it gives its best in this respect because if it finishes filling well it will be perfect. Marker is also doing well in week 6. It seems ready for flowering soon. I've started giving it slightly more nutrients.

This beast is thickening up. Has a lot of characteristics of both GDP and white widow parents. Doing really well with the dehumidifier on at night and aggressive defoliation. Maybe 2-3 weeks to harvest?

At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. Into week three of flowering: - Need to up CalMg this week cause all my last grows with this strain the plants were stressing and showing signs of Mg deficiency I think. - The buds are stacking up pretty tight. - The top of the plant is showing some red veins AGAIN, don't know if it is genetics? Or is it too much light? ANY SUGGESTIONS? - Usually what happens is that after week three top of plant will show red veins and some leaves will turn light green yellow. What type of deficiency is this? Thanks in advance for the help. Happy growing, BM 4TwenTee *****Update on LIGHT STRESS:***** Okay I think I got this figured out. Since my plant is showing the following symptoms: - Slow yellowing of top of cannopy - Fan leaves pointing up in a steep angle - Leaves are tacoing up a bit with sharp pointy serrated leaves pointing up - Veins are turning purple and some leaves are showing green veins and yellowing of outer part of the leaf REASONS FOR THE SYMPTOMS: - Since the light is too close to the top of the canopy, although my light is running at around 60% and it is at least a meter away from the light. I think because this was a mother and basically she is accustomed to top canopy PAR of around 180-220 and she was measuring around 600PAR so that is just too much for the plant to handle. So I've lowered the light output so the top canopy is around 420 PAR. - Also my humidity is pretty high at around 72% so I lowered it to around 65% - The reason why the leaves are tacoing up to the light is because the canopy cannot take the high PAR, the temp at the top of the canopy is only 76F so that is acceptable, but the plant is trying the sweat due to the high PAR, but because the humidity was also too high it was not sweating as much as it should. - The reason why a light stressed plant shows different deficiencies eg. magnesium and phosphate is due to the "extra sweating" that takes place, cannabis plants don't choose what they intake, if they need more water to sweat, extra nutrients will be absorbed and this will lockout some of the other nutrients in the solution. **End of week update: Tried multiple changes but still no luck on getting rid of red leaf stem. - Added a 1 hour sunrise and sundown light regiment - Decreased Humidity to 65% from low 70's - Top of canopy PAR decreased from 600 to 350. Leaves red stems still not going away and top of canopy still trying to get rid of moisture with fan leaves pointing up. If anyone can chime in that would be great thanks.

This week in my grow room has been full of developments. First, I added additional lights because I couldn't get the relative humidity (RH) under control. I ordered a dehumidifier, but it will take a few weeks to arrive, so I had to find a temporary solution. I also emptied the reservoir and refilled it with fresh water and nutrients. I secured the net to ensure it stays in place under tension. In two days, I plan to switch the light schedule to 12/12, hoping the plants will stretch a bit during the switch to avoid having overly large buds that aren't evenly spread. Seventeen hours later, I decided to keep the lights on a 16/8 schedule for a few more days. The plants are starting to show signs of something happening, so I want to see how they develop. I will keep you updated on the progress. Then, I received a message from my supplier that the dehumidifier would arrive today. Great news—time to spice things up! On June 2nd, the dehumidifier arrived, and I managed to get my Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) to 1.17! This is fantastic news, and I'm very curious how this will affect water usage. The dehumidifier seems pretty powerful, with water literally dripping out of the hose, so I'm no longer worried about high humidity levels. It's a shame it doesn't have a range setting, but I couldn't expect more for the price. I'm considering ordering the Dimlux Auxbox to set a working range and separate day/night settings. Thankfully, the dehumidifier has an auto-restart function after a power loss. On June 3rd, the night is over, and while my values are now more stable, I haven't noticed any significant differences in water absorption. What I do notice is that the pots seem much drier. The difference in leaf temperature compared to the room temperature has increased slightly, now about a 2˚C difference, indicating that evaporation has increased somewhat. Despite the dehumidifier cooling the air, the room temperature has risen. This is explainable since dry air heats up faster than humid air. The CO2 heater is also running significantly longer. So, although there are no immediately visible differences, there are indeed some changes. Today is the last short night of 8 hours, and tomorrow will be the first night of 12 hours. I am contemplating doing a 10-hour night first and will decide later tonight. After closely reviewing the video footage, I noticed some divergent colors on the leaves. My pH is currently 6.4, which I had adjusted to compensate for the low pH last week—a foolish decision in coco, I know. I plan to make videos of each individual plant for my records to investigate further. The light is too intense to inspect them up close, so the videos will help me get a better look.

Week 7 and time to flip these bitches into flower, given them a defol which last time I think I took much more off but I think I’ve taken enough off and il strip them again at day 21 of flower.... got light leak here and there in my old rickety shed lol so gonna get the caulk gun out seal anything I can see, set the timer to 12/12 and we’re off 👍🏼

Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

The overall growth was excellent indeed , she was a medium yield, decent bag appeal, would recommend using 5 gal pots at least. Also not ten or nine stars because i had a 80% germination rate with msnl, but overall 8/10

Eigentlich gibt es nicht viel zu berichten, die Bananen haben sich nicht weiter gebildet und die Buds werden schön fett und Saftig 😍 Heute hab ich versucht ein paar trichome vor die Linse zu bekommen, was ziemlich gut funktioniert wenn man die Lupe einfach vor die Handycam hält 👍🏻 26.07 Painkiller 3 wird langsam auch zu einer stattlichen Pflanze, sie bräuchte bestimmt noch 2 Wochen länger aber leider muss ich sie alle gleichzeitig ernten da das Zelt zum trocken benötigt wird… Echt schade

This was a beautiful week. Massive THC production my trichromes are covering the white widow plant in crystals. Its an icy plant with its sunscreen on. Looking absolutely gorgeous. I finished defoliation. Removed most all of the fan leaves so the plants can focus on bud production and amp up those clusters. The blueberry plant is starting to fruit up as well. It will end up going an extra week so its production is right on point. The white widow plant is just some crazy good genetics. Of my 7 new nursery plants the two white widows that I have are head and shoulders above the rest of the plants. I am excited to see what the 12/12 from seed does for them with our new super soil setup. The plants have received their full doses of flower food and flower finisher. They are going to ride out the week on just water because they started to burn with the influx of the flower finisher. It seems to absorb more potently than the regular flower food does. I will does the plants some of the flower finisher food about halfway through the next week so as not to burn the plants. After that we will flush the soil with just water for the remainder of the grow so as not to have any extra nutrients flooding the plant before harvest.
