🍋 Lemon Cherry Gelato — Week 7 from Seed Flower Week 3 | 12/12 from Seed Welcome back everyone — and welcome to anyone just joining the journey 👋 This is our Lemon Cherry Gelato update, currently Week 7 from seed, which we’re considering Flower Week 3 in our 12/12-from-seed room. There’s a lot to talk about this week, so let’s start by bringing everyone up to speed. ⸻ 🌱 Quick Recap — How We Got Here This run is part of a larger 8×8 mixed-genetics environment, where multiple cultivars share the same room, light strategy, and environment. The approach from day one has been: • low stress • observational • plant-led decisions • learning in real time No chasing perfection — just paying attention. The Lemon Cherry Gelato plants have been vigorous and very bushy since early on, with strong branching and dense foliage that required intervention as flower development began to accelerate. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — Why This Week, Why This Way This week we performed a fairly deep defoliation, similar to what was done on a few other girls in the room. Why? • The plants were extremely bushy • Light penetration was becoming limited • Airflow needed improvement • Bud sites were stacking fast We removed a significant amount of inner and overlapping foliage to: • allow photons to pass through the canopy • improve airflow • help the plant focus energy where it matters It may look aggressive in photos, but it was done intentionally and carefully. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Structure & Phenotypes You’ll notice two slightly different expressions in the photos: • First photos → Lemon Cherry Gelato • Second one → what we’re calling the “other” Cherry Gelato Both plants: • very bushy • beautifully structured • incredibly lush green One plant showed some funky leaf expressions, but nothing concerning — genetics being genetics. Both were defoliated deeply, but not excessively — just enough to give them room to breathe. They are not alone in the room, and in a shared environment, balance matters. ⸻ 🔥 Minor Observations • A few burned leaves from under-canopy lighting • Nothing serious • Easily managed • Already addressed You’ll spot them in some of the mini photos. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment & Feeding — Why We Changed Nothing This week, nothing was changed on purpose. Current parameters: • Day temperature: ~28 °C • Relative Humidity: ~65% • EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 • Plant height: ~40 cm to ~80 cm • Lighting: LED Many growers would say these temperatures are too high for flower — but context matters. Under LED lighting, leaf surface temperature runs ~2–4 °C cooler than ambient room temperature. Because of that, we focus on leaf VPD, not room VPD. The plant is what matters — not the number on the wall. We are not chasing numbers. We are paying attention to them. ⸻ 🌱 Plant Response The plants are telling us clearly that they’re happy: • deep, lush green foliage • no visible stress • strong internodal structure • uniform nutrient uptake across phenotypes When the plant is happy, stability beats adjustment. Day 51 welcome this past week I've had to deal with extreme temperatures that were somewhat Beyond My Control. I ended up having to put an air conditioner in my grow room because the temperatures outside were in the 40s. But even with the high temperatures my purple Bliss is doing beautifully and was giving me a lot of growth. I'm continuing to tie down the tops even though I am in transition to mitigate the height of the plant and to ensure that light hits every single top equally my hopes are that I end up with an even canopy of massive flowers.

Still feeding them with Greenpower 7ml/l and i give them around 1.7L every 3 days. Yesterday i added some Great White Mycorrhiza (this stuff is killer!!) to the feeding. i will give the runtz 1 more week and flush it. HerzOG will go to flush in 2 - 2 1/2 weeks. 😏 ps: hope you guys enjoy the video 😅

17/07 First 45gr of tops are off. Keepin an eye on the rest. Ma lenz came in tha mail today, awesome! Flipped to flower this week. Experimenting with the short veg from seed. Fingers crossed they bounce.

Just harvested last night so will come back on in next couple of week to review!! No estimates on yield as yet. But the smell is definitely pungent lemon and sweet smell. Can’t wait to try the end product!!

3/16: Rain let up for half the day, but more tonight...damnit... They are due for a watering tomorrow, but with the high RH, maybe not... 3/17: They weren't ready for water yet, so I slept for a few bonus hours! (rare) All three of these plants are progressing nicely. The shortie is a little behind her sisters in terms of ripeness, but her buds are developing well. It rained for most for the day....again...😣 3/18: I watered them with about 1/2 gallon each including terpinator, signal, sweet & sticky, cal-mag, armor si, endoboost, humic acid, and a little cha ching. It rained all night again..and most of the day today. I took some photos with the qb's turned off and a 135w 5500k CFL on.. 3/19: It rained all night and several times again today...ffs....I've started building an Ark in my free time 😁 3/20: Rained again on and off today..RH still too high... 3/21: Rained again tonight.. I had to pick up a couple of them while removing a couple of other plants, and they are still heavy. I might be able to wait until Monday to feed again, which might be enough time for me to get the RH back down a little bit. 3/22: Rained again last night several times...and again today for a couple hours...ridiculous. Woke up with RH at 65%!!! Been chatting with other FFT growers and they all seem to be losing a lot of produce to botrytis...I'm starting to freak out..😳

Tag 63 Blüte die 10. Woche beginnt und die Damen sind fast soweit aber für es sind immer noch zuviele Trichome klar und die ersten werden erst Bernsteinfarben. Würde ich WPFF also Waschen und Liverosin pressen wäre jetzt oder in paar Tagen Ernte. So wie es aussieht dauert es also noch ca 10 Tage. Meiner Erfahrung nach sind jetzt die entscheidenden Tage wo noch viele sekundäre Stoffe wie Terpene und Cannabinoide geildet werden. Der Duft ist Fantastisch bei jedem öffnen des Zeltes. Da der Sommer mit der Hitze eine Pause macht kann ich niedrigere Temp. halten und schone noch die ganzen flüchtigen Terpene. Also ich habe wirklich viel Glück mit dem Wetter gerade. Diese letzte Tage habe ich angefangen nur noch mit Wasser zu gießen angepasst mit CalMag auf (EC 0,5)(PH 6,0-6,2). Nur der mineralisch gedüngte Frozen Tropicana Cherry mische ich noch 2ml/L Canna Flush ins Gießwasser um Salze rauszuspülen. Den Drain halte ich gering. Es reicht mir wenn 5% drain habe (der EC ist da bei 1,4 und PH 6,1). Besser könnte ich es mir nicht wünschen. Canna Terra hat wieder einmal mehr als perfekt funktioniert. Die Ladies trinken auch noch viel auch das zeigt mir das Sie noch wollen und es noch zu früh wäre. Jeder grower kennt das ja am Ende trinken sie nur noch sehr langsam und sage dir ja das es soweit ist. Ich finde es sehr wichtig die Pflanzen zu beobachten und nicht irgendeinem Plan stur zu folgen. Da wir in paar Tagen in Urlaub fahren muss ich wohl die Ernte und das aufhängen der Pflanze meinem alten Growbro anvertrauen genauso die vorzucht des neuen grows. Ich hoffe das die Damen noch nicht trocken sind wenn ich wieder da bin. Aber da will ich hier keinen zulabern. Ihr könnt euch ja vorstellen wie das ist jetzt gerade nicht da zu sein. Zum Glück kann ich mich da auf meinen Kumpel verlassen er hat auch schon viele Jahre Erfahrung. Ich hoffe die Fotos gefallen euch.

As the oldest one looks with 25 days of more approx 2 and a half weeks in advance as we can see, all calm advancing at the moment, enduring the high heat temperatures, the ones that were missing were transplanted into larger improvised pots.

Continued vegetative growth, preparing for topping, increased watering a bit more frequently to almost daily (just as needed.) Nothing crazy just maintaining conditions.

🌾 Harvest Day — The Grand Finale of the Eternity Grow Cup 🌾 Days 72–73 | Trimmed on May 25 | Posted May 27 What a journey this has been — and what a finish. These five incredible Runtz phenos have now completed their cycle, and today, we celebrate the final stage of their flowering life: the Harvest. We sent the girls into darkness on Day 70, allowing them a full 48+ hours of rest and reset. The dark period was just a bit longer, truth be told, because time… it flows as it must. This extended dark time helps increase resin production, allowing the trichomes to mature just that final bit more. On Days 72 and 73, we harvested them with care and reverence. Each plant was hung upside down, whole, in a perfectly controlled 60% humidity environment for 13 full days. Before hanging, we gently removed only the fan leaves, leaving all trichome-rich sugar leaves in place — a natural armor for the delicate resin glands during drying. Why do we do this? Because those sugar leaves help protect the essential oils and terpenes, preserving potency, flavor, and aroma for the smoothest experience later on. 🌿 The Dry Room & The Trichome Guardians Throughout the drying, we used a moisture meter to monitor the moisture content in the stems. Once it dropped to around 12–13%, we knew it was time. This tool is a simple but game-changing ally in ensuring a perfect dry — not too fast, not too slow. We then trimmed everything by hand over a 6.5-hour focused session. Armed with trim bins and good energy, we collected an abundance of glistening trichome heads in the process — a golden bonus from these resin-packed beauties. The leaves themselves told a story: deep purples, near-black shades, autumn fades and metallic tones — just stunning. Each girl was trimmed in order: #5 → #4 → #3 → #2 → #1, revealing dense, chunky buds all the way from top to bottom. Not a single pop-corn bud among them — only rock-solid nugs, heavyweight champions in every sense. 📦 Cure Begins – Grove Bags & Glass Jars Once trimmed, the buds were tucked carefully into Grove Bags and glass jars, each stabilized at around 61% RH. The Grove Bags handle the microclimate beautifully, keeping humidity between 58–61%, perfect for preserving all that hard-earned quality. We’re now opening the jars daily, monitoring aroma and feel. This part of the process — the cure — is where the soul of the flower truly comes to life. ☀️ UV, Reds & The Perfect Run Part of what made this run so special was the precision in light spectrum. 40% whites, full reds, UV and IR, and the girls responded like royalty. The UV pushed trichome development to the max. The deep reds gave us thickness, color, and weight. All of it under ThinkGrow Model Ones powered through the Trolmaster ecosystem — everything syncing in harmony. This run was stable, lush, expressive — a grower’s dream. To my eyes, this was a perfect run. ⚖️ Final Yield: 1,302 Grams (1.3 kg) In a 4x4 tent — that’s just 1.2m x 1.2m for metric friends — we pulled in 1,302 grams of flower, not even counting the buds that were taken for filming, photos, or “quality control testing” along the way. 😉 Dense. Loud. Sticky. Resinous. 🌿 The Hidden Half: A Tribute to the Roots In every grow, there’s a part we don’t always see — a part that lives underground, quietly holding everything together. The roots. And this time, I wanted to honor them too. When we unpotted the plants after harvest, we were met with massive, dense root systems, completely filling the Autopot trays. These roots were vibrant, white and healthy, looking like noodles in a thick herbal soup — a true sign of vitality. The Autopots system, combined with the Aptus Holland Clean Program and Plagron Green Sensation, made sure they had the perfect environment to expand, absorb, and thrive. The PRO-MIX soil was the perfect foundation — light, fluffy, with excellent aeration. It all worked in harmony. After unpotting, I carefully washed every root system, removing all soil to prepare them for the next chapter of their story. Now, they’re hanging and drying — and will be left to cure for at least one month, possibly more, in a dry, dark, and well-ventilated space. But why keep the roots? Because cannabis roots hold ancient value — both medicinal and ritualistic. Though they don’t contain cannabinoids like THC or CBD, they are rich in alkaloids, triterpenoids, sterols, and other therapeutic compounds that can be anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antifungal, and calming. They are its memory, its foundation, its quiet miracle. By using them, we honor the entire lifecycle — nothing is wasted, and everything has a purpose. This part of the process is new for many growers, and I truly encourage anyone reading this to try saving and reusing the roots. Dry them, process them gently, and let them offer you one final gift. It’s not just dirt — it’s a living ecosystem. And to throw it away would be to ignore its potential. In my veggie garden, this recycled soil now nurtures cucumbers, tomatoes, courgettes, and so many other little miracles waiting to unfold. It’s a beautiful way of continuing the cycle, taking all the energy and intention that was once used to grow cannabis and transferring it into growing food. 🌞🍅🥒 🌾 The Benefits of Reusing Soil: • Sustainability — less waste, less environmental impact • Cost-effective — no need to constantly buy fresh medium • Soil memory — rich in organic material, microbial life, and structure • Nutrient potential — amended soil still holds value for many plants • A deeper connection — a way to honor the entire cycle of growth When we reuse our soil, we’re not just being resourceful — we’re believing in tomorrow. We’re trusting that what we’ve built can be rebuilt. That what has been used can become useful again. That from what seems like an ending, something new can always emerge.
