On to another week. She seems happy and the sip container is keeping her watered in her amended soil bed. We're getting to the fun time period for autoflowers so I expect to see a ton of growth in the coming couple weeks!

At this point, I gave away one CBD blue shark and one wedding cake seedling, leaving me with 2 each. Once the plants started to bounce back from being topped, I put them into 3 gallon bags. At this point I think they had finally gotten their bearings and were starting to grow steadily. I tried to make up for some of their initial stretch by removing some of the lower leaves and burying them deeper when I transplanted. I had my old 1000w HPS bulb in a UFO fixture that I had taken the reflectors off of to make it fit in the tent I built. I had the exhaust fan and carbon filter sitting on some cupboards outside the tent.

Super impressed with the vertical growth on the costa mesa haze plants. Fimed everything week ago, really helped in shooting out more nodes. Already showing buds on CMH.

Day 41 up-potting not real crazy over root health, seems like I did a little better first run though I really fucked that one up, thinking about trying Dyna-Zyme & RAW Microbes Grow maybe. Run offs read: LSD #1 pH 5.6 PPM 1120 LSD #2 pH 5.7 PPM 1110 LSD #3 pH 5.6 PPM 1190 LSD #4 pH 5.6 PPM 1050 Gelato #1 pH 5.6 PPM 1090 Gelato #2 pH 5.6 PPM 1080 Watered straight with 10ml of KLN per gal solution pH about 6.8-7 Hoping the pH will normalize over time & these will be back on track. Seemed to perk back a bit today.

Strain was easy to grow. Had some herms but since I only have 2 plants I was able to pinch the balls off. Buds have no seeds and are a strong smoke. Really hits the lungs.

Skywalker OG — Legends of the 12/12 Galaxy Week 7 From Seed | Week 2 Flower Structural Defoliation + Clip Release + Stretch Acceleration ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Snapshot (Current Reality) • 🌡️ Day Temp: ~28°C • 💧 RH: ~65% • ⚡ EC: ~2.9 • pH: ~6.5 • 📏 Height: 40–80 cm • 💡 LED (multi-layer canopy + under-canopy) On paper? Some growers panic at 28°C in flower. In practice? Understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (Why 28°C Is Not “Too Hot”) Under LED: • No infrared radiation blast like HPS • Leaf surface temp typically 2–4°C cooler than room So: • Room ≈ 28°C • Leaf ≈ 24–26°C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD sits beautifully in early–mid flower range. And the plants confirm it: • Deep green tone • No tacoing • No stress curl • No clawing • Strong praying posture • Internode stacking consistent The leaves are not just “nice.” They are metabolically comfortable. ⸻ 🌿 Defoliation — What Actually Happened I didn’t trim for aesthetics. I reset the architecture. From the timeline photos: Before: • Dense interior • Lower growth competing • Air pockets blocked • Light penetration limited After: • Clear lower third (true lollipop) • Secondary branches prioritized • Top energy redirected upward • Under-canopy airflow massively improved And the removed leaf pile? That tells the story of biomass management, not plant stress. Very important: The structure after defoliation still looks balanced — not skeletal. That means you removed intelligently, not emotionally. ⸻ 🔩 Clip Removal — The Branch Memory Effect Now let’s talk about something many growers don’t understand. When you use clips or branch spreaders: • You temporarily manipulate auxin distribution • You redirect apical dominance • You force lateral exposure Once removed? The plant reacts in 24–72 hours. From your timeline screenshots: • Branches begin to arc upward • Nodes reorient toward light • Vertical dominance partially reasserts • But structure remains widened This is perfect timing to remove clips: Week 2 flower stretch phase. Why? Because now: • The branch has lignified enough to hold structure • The stretch will “lock in” the new angles • You avoid late-flower snapping risk You can already see: The tops are reclaiming verticality while keeping spacing. That is textbook. ⸻ 🌱 The Burned Leaves (Under-Canopy Lighting) I saw the small localized tip burns. Important observations: • Not systemic • Not progressing • Mostly lower / under-canopy exposure • Slight edge crisping from proximity to under-light This is photonic intensity + proximity — not nutrient burn. Your EC at 2.9 is high compared to your other girls, yes. But here’s the key: They are eating it. Signs of overfeeding would show as: • Uniform tip burn across canopy • Dark clawing • Slowed growth • Salt buildup symptoms You have none of that. Instead: • Vigorous stretch • Praying posture • Uniform leaf tone So the EC is higher because: This phenotype is demanding more during stretch. That’s not excess. That’s appetite. ⸻ 🚀 The Stretch Now let’s talk genetics. Week 2 flower is just the beginning for these. Expect: • 1.5–2x final stretch potential • Continued vertical gain next 10–14 days • Later pistil stacking compared to indica-leaners And yes — i may need to raise the LEDs. At 60 cm now? They are not done. The fact they are praying constantly tells me: They want more light — not less. But we watch: If distance drops too much, you’ll see leaf flattening before tacoing. That’s your early warning. ⸻ Two Plants — Two Personalities You can clearly see: One Plant : • More structured • Tighter node stacking • Slightly thicker leaf The other Plant : • More vertical aggression • Strong apical reclaim after clip removal • Haze-like frame expansion This is why running multiple phenos is beautiful. We’re not just growing. We’re studying expression. ⸻ 📈 What To Expect Next Week Expect: • Continued stretch (especially haze leaner) • First real pistil clustering • Stem thickening • Faster water uptake • Slight EC hunger spike Do Not Expect Yet: • Bud swelling • Calyx stacking • Resin explosion • Final leaf posture We are still in transition. This is architectural week — not production week. ⸻ ❤️ And The Leaves… You’re right. They are beautiful. Wide, defined serrations. Strong petiole angles. No mottling. No interveinal chlorosis. No stress striping. They look metabolically confident. That’s the best compliment a plant can receive. ⸻ 🙏 Gratitude Section To everyone: • The OGs who’ve been here since seed • The new growers learning through mistakes and wins • The silent readers • The loud critics • The Grow Diaries community • The platform hosting the journey • The sponsors supporting education • And every single person watching this experiment unfold This is not just a grow. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. 4/15/25 Things are progressing nicely. Some plants dont seem to be doing too much but 3 of them or so that are really standing out. Im curious if some of these are going to be longer flowering time than anticipated with the very obvious sativa dominant plants.

37 grams and this bud is just covered in crystals, pictures don't do it justice. I smoked some early on but it wasn't the best dry/cure so I will update once I've cured for a couple weeks. Overall I'm super stoked how this grow went, looking forward to growing more fastbuds trees!!

Well I flushed her this week. Only water. As you can see she is getting fatter and she is still shooting pistils. So I am just waiting till she stops doing that then she will be ready to harvest.👻

Saludos cannabicos

The purple kush has been behind all the plants the whole time. When you look at the plant you will notice a lot of the leaves are burnt. 10 days ago or so I think I accidentally gave them to much nutrients or I didn’t shake the bottle I used. The purple kush is starting to bulk up some I’m thinking it will be a decent little plant when all is done.
