Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. Day 84 Starting to see some amber triches on the ripest spears of Red so the first round of chop should be a few days after Danksgiving weekend. Gotta get ready. Started flush on red, will likely stop hot nutes on white over next week. Blue exploded some great bud sites. Working on lollipopping yellow now that it bounced back

Well Gsc is very close now the colours are so nice 😍 lots of pink, purple and green 😍 aiming for chop very soon 🤞🏻 skywalker seems to be nearing to the end but I'm sure still putting some weight on so will give 1-2 weeks flush now. Purple kush is packing on some weight now leaves look pretty but also stressed 😬 she's growing and the buds are looking stunning (JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION) so that's a good thing. I would definitely be thinking of adding the bakery seedco Gsc into the seed bank for future grows

As week 8 started, buds are gaining size. Plant is drinking lots of water. About. 3/4 a gallon a day to day 1/2. Added a second light to setup now. Hoping to help the flowering buds with extra light. Relocated my fan to help circulate air flow around more of the taper colas. Should have a around 3 week a left til harvest. Can’t wait to see how this first grow turns out and what to learn from it overall at the end.

Day 57: Flowers forming, everything good so far :) Day 61-62: Light LST, plant seems to be chill. Noticed a couple of ants, I hope they don't bring aphids ._. Day 63: Buds growing, we'll see...

Tough week put in and took out a new 85w led grow light. It was too hot in the tent and the lights burned a couple spots. Looking for ward to more flowers. She’s starting to smell like fuel and skunk. More bloom nutes this week. Going to buy a couple additives to boost it. Thinking about my next grow. And how to expand.

The girls are fading good might chop either tonight or maybe a couple of more days got to pull out the microscope 🔬

30.10.2025 The last week has been a chilled grow. Before yesterday I turned up the light intensity to 450 and yesterday to nearly 500 mol. They are struggeling a bit but they hopefully will recover soon, bathing in sunlight and best conditions. Now the truth will appear and they will show their sexes. Actually I really hope that both will be female. What do you think? 01.11.2025 As predicted the big one is a male and as I changed my mind I seperated him from them and left him at my window in another room. Maybe he manages to go on so I can collect some pollum? What a pitty because he really is a very precious plant!

Bugs 🐜 hav been problem and will get worse before better

12/01 Fed the soil with 1 liter of a mixture of Nectar of the God's Zeus Juice, Herculean Harvest, and Hygeia's Hydration 12/02 Girls all look great and now little Trudy Judy is no longer little!!! She shot past Amy and is now the tallest in the tent, her flowers are a little wispy compared to the others. 12/03 Watered each lady with about a liter of ph 6.3 water with 1 tablespoon of unsulphered black strap molasses 12/04 Ladies are looking good, I think Judy's weird buds may be due to wind shock so I moved her one square over on the scrog will have to keep my eye on her to see if that shocks her 12/05 Watered with PH 6.4 water only I think we are done with the stretch. I don't think Amy recovered from being super cropped and that is what stunted her growth. Her leaves are beautiful and delicate but she isn't stretching any further I don't believe. Trudy Judy is just a freak her buds are whispy and she has some that are growing at weird angles but….whatever. From the above picture going clockwise from the upper left corner we have Rosa who was Super Cropped twice and is the tallest and strongest, next in the one oclock position we have Gina who was accidentally topped week 2.5 ish and she recovered excellently the two in the back are definitely the best looking pheno's. Next in the lower right corner is Amy the little lady who started off strong but now is just a pretty little thing buds are nice and plump she looks like she is going to be just fine…just short. Finally we have Trudy Judy…..freak 12/06 Did some light defoliation on the bottom skirt pulled some big fan leaves that aren't getting light and turning yellow, accidentally nicked a limb with buds on it from Judy but it was lower larf and weird and she's weird anyway so 12/07 I think Trudy is playing possum, she was a week behind everyone so I'm thinking these weird buds are a phase and she will start plumping up. The two ladies in the back are getting fat and starting to show some frost, Amy is getting fat but …..sigh I should raise her up to make her level. Fed everyone 1.3 Liters of Recharge.

Lost of changes these last few weeks in addition to changing the light position and duration I back off the feeding and giving both jst purified water. Did a flush today since their looking close to home plate. Had to do a heavy defoliation with some of the leaves on both plants. It looked like some mold developed but after cleaning the tent and letting the girls get bone dry to avoid it’s return everything is a go! It’s been a exciting and knowledgeable grow

2-18 Transplant 3 gallon pot. 1 tbs craftblend 1/2 tsp HP Connect and even though I said 1 cup in the video, it was really 1/4 cup poo. Loosely covered her up, NO water. She was watered the day before. Let her dry up and the rest absorb her in. 2-21 300 ml water. Recharge and small shot of cal/mag. Drops of balance. She should really stretch out now. 😁 .

Den Pflanzen ging es soweit gut. Hatte bemerkt das der wachstum langsam voranging. Ich konntrolierte den EC im Drain. Der war viel zu hoch für die jetzige Vegi Zeit. Das Substrat wurde dann durchgespült und auf den gewünschten PH&EC Wert gebracht. Es wurde noch Substrat leicht nachgefüllt und leicht gedüngt. Durch das Spülen, hingen die Blätter etwas runter. Die Pflanze hat sich mittlerweile erholt. Substrat ist eindeutig noch zu feucht um neu zu Düngen.

This strain has been easy to grow from the start and very quickly packed the weight on during flower, for a free seed I'm more than happy with the outcome, if you're gonna grow it give it a good 13 to 14 weeks It's quite an uplifting smoke a nice head stone
