Posting the phenos when I do them

It's really hard for a first time grower to grow without the input of others, particularly if you aren't a science type person. Grow diaries and the users who've commented have really helped me make decisions about how to handle the girls. What I've learnt is there's never a right or wrong way of doing something and a lot of your success is based on intuition! This my very first grow. I can't normally keep herbs alive and I had my fair share of disasters with this plant, from stem breakages (fixed with a tape and a ruler) and calculating nutes incorrectly. I LSTd and topped (accidentally initially) and left 2 alone. The ones left alone had the biggest yeild. I harvested at different stages, but within days. The trics were probably at 1% amber, 80% cloudy and the rest clear. A test smoke of a dry bud in a pipe which had been cured for a few days gave me a fun, giggly high that lasted a long time with rolling body effects that left me feeling reallllly good. I made butter out of the fresh wet trim of one plant (2oz of trim) and made 113g of knock out butter. Just a teaspoon had my flying for 24 hours. I was growing these 4 ladies, along with 4 non-auto skunk 1# which have been in veg mode for the whole time. They are beasts right now and I will start a diary for them to document the progress.

9/29/2022 - 49 days since my little girl sprouted from seeds🌱 The third week of flowering of my Orange Sherbet 🍨🍨🍨 Nutrients: Jungle Indabox - I serve the same as last week Advanced Nutrientiens - Bud Candy - carbohydrates for my plants 🍭🍭 Bud Stimulators 🌼🌼🌼: Jungle Indabox Environ X Advanced Nutrientiens - Big Bud remains unchanged I no longer serve Bud Ignitor ATAMI - ATA CALMAG - When growing under LED lights it is recommended to use Calmag and Atami is an excellent brand Plants tolerate nutrients well, sometimes a small spot appears on the leaves, but this is not a nutrient burn Training: LST - Just a little training, I tied some twigs to the edge of the flower pot with string so that they don't shine on each other 🌞🌞 Defoliation: I mainly remove large leaves so they don't shade the flowers and I also cut off the lower leaves. Day 3 of flower & these ladies are stretching great! We are having a bit of a calmag Deficiency right now but currently in the process of trying to fix it so hopefully they bounce back! The Gelato OG from seedsman is a monster to only be 42 days old not sure if I just got a good pheno or what happened but compared to the other gelato beside it from the same bag it looks like a completely different plant! Can’t wait to see how the buds turn out! My little potential mutant is chugging along, on the new growth now the middle 3rd leaflet is dwarfing and looks to be paling off/dying while it seems to focus only on some leaves! Edit: its definately mutating or something lol iv never seen this before! And the seed was like 3 Times the size of a normal seed 🤣

Hello everyone! This is Ashoka's 11 and final week of life.(tho next week may be the official harvest) this week we are prepping her for harvest. Her trichomes are about 10% amber right now on her 72nd day of life. So on Day 71 we flushed her with 3gals of cold water and let her sit under the lights till they went out today(72) at lights out we took her out of the tent, put ice in her container and surrounded her roots with ice as well.

The buds are developing really well 😁. The scent gets stronger every day when you open the tent . I watered it twice this week with 1.2 l each time (see table for nutrients). She’s in the small tent now with the more mature PT plant. Once I harvest the PT, this big girl will get the entire 2x3 tent. I think she will fill in nicely and has shown lots of vigor. Nice even tops for the most part with a few smaller branches straggling behind. The PT is almost ready to chop and then it’s this one’s time to shine. I haven’t been feeding her heavily, I may up her nutes soon. The other white widow clone in the larger tent was lollipopped as well as monster cropped like this one was so I’m excited to compare the two techniques side by side to see which buds I like better. I selectively crossed all female strains with my male plant who is in a separate room from the girls. Branches marked with a green tie are pollinated. The male was originally in the tent these girls are in so I’m hoping I removed him in time. If not I may have some random seeds in these buds. I did spray the tent down between plants but I’m unsure if water really renders pollen unviable. Regardless, seeds are a good thing... all these girls are in flower because it is my last grow. Here’s to hoping I get decent bud and some neat seeds for the future whenever I am able to grow again. 🌱👩‍🌾🏼

This girl was a fast finisher harvested on day 46 of flower, nearly 7 full weeks.

The strain came out amazing very purple an very dense didn't have a very strong smell but deff a nice one got 3 ounces after all said an done

EDIT: I've added some pics and video of my negative pressure setup to ensure no smells in my little 8x8 office! In fact, this room has the freshest smelling air in the house because it's constantly filtered XD This is what hospitals do when they quarantine people -- they put you in a negative flow room so any drafts you feel under the door, from the ceiling and windows, microscopic holes in the room, etc are going INTO the room, and exhaust is controlled through some decontamination method (I'm unfamiliar with that part of it). This week was a huge struggle with the clones. Self-inflicted. I was going to keep them in the buckets for a while, but when I watered them mid-diary-week pot A was not draining even though it has some decent drain holes and rocks on the bottom. I tried digging out the sides down to the bottom to try to open it up, I tried mashing on the sides and bottom of the pot to break stuff up... But it just would not stop being a pool of standing water :( So, I had to do an emergency transplant into the new perlite hempy bucket. Now other than a washed out soil/root plug about the size of my fist, I'm hydro in 100% perlite. (Manual Hydro though, I am the pump! :P) Been giving it MaxiGro since, and I think it actually really loves being in the perlite :O After having such success with the transplant for A, I decided to transplant B right after just because. But, I didn't cut one of the LST strings all the way :facepalm: When I went to lift it out I didn't get very far at all and the main stem snapped off, leaving only one fan leaf and some tiny growth! I figured since it has a healthy root system, it'd eventually recover / stabilize. So I did one of those "whistle while sweeping it under the rug" things, and just put it back the way it was. I've noticed a bit of growth today on official end of week clone servicing day, so I went ahead and transplanted B into a hydro bucket too! Gave it 2-7-7 cactus food and a splash of CaliMagic, the higher P and K of the cactus food should help it recover faster (or so I've read). We'll see how this goes moving forward. Even if it's a flop, it'll at least be a learning experience. I've moved plenty of plants from pot to pot, but never from grow medium to grow medium -- which is actually quite stressful and dangerous to the plant if you don't do it perfectly with all the precautions in place (like using gloves so you don't touch the roots!) I'm excited at the prospect of not having to screw around with soil any more. I can just rinse and sterilize (will use steam most likely) the perlite and it's good to go for the next grow! A shout out to someone I met on here that has been patiently answering all my questions regarding the hempy buckets, perlite, hydro nutrients, etc. I don't want to reference them by name because I don't want to risk causing them to receive a flood of questions from a bunch of random people.

So far it seems to be fine even if the high humidity worries me even if the temperatures are still high then they have stopped growing and will finally focus on the flowers and slowly we recover these small deficiencies
