This was a very stressful week as there were too many variables at play all at once; even my camera refused to cooperate for the first few days. The freshly transferred plants were starting to droop and I was unsure if it was transplant shock, nutrient burn, or because of the incomplete grow tent. My first batch of nutrients were mixed into a gallon bottle and was weighed by a friend using his scale; this set was enough to last weeks. For this new batch however, I didn't have my scale and used the table spoon as my measuring tool; needless to say when my TDS meter finally arrived, both runoff and the remainder of the mixed nutrients read 2800. Fortunately my light setup seemed to be inefficient still and the plants weren't drawing much nutrients and only ended up with a very light burn on the older growth. All pots were flushed back to recommend levels and the light lowered until the lux values read appropriate. This week ends my daily comments and I'll stick to this end of the week format going forward.

I scraped of the white powdery mildew, waited for the soil to dry and topped the pot back up with fresh soil... and its not returned....yet 🤔😅 I'm not seeing any pre flowers yet, I'm hoping in the next week or so. This strain is currently satisfying us greatly, in fact the mainlined one is the best for now without a doubt, its name is King Louis Automatic. Remember that we are growing a plant worked with the indicated techniques and another left to grow without pruning to preserve its speed; in the previous/next diary you will find the other plant of the same variety. This plant has started flowering after a Main Lining that was a success in a Masterful way thanks to a good grower and a fantastic plant with a wide internodal distance: topping at the second internode, creation of the Mainfold, the brunches have stretched naturally and parallel to the ground with just a little pressure, no sign of breakage, fraying of the hemp, nothing. Slight nutrient burn on the super silver haze and the banana. I have backed them up in feed from 10ml per gallon back to 8, it seems to have done the trick the last couple days. Both banana and super silver haze are trucking along quite well I think otherwise. I have officially decided to start my flushing on the black domina x Scott's og, trichomes are about half milky half clear, not sure if I should be doing a full flush or continue feeding through week 7 and start flush on week 8 I'm not overly sure lol see how it goes anyway. The Blue Dream is a good deal slower in growth, but still develops quite well. Otherwise, the plants are not pruned any further before they start flowering.

Growing some seeds I won from Diary of the Month here on Grow Diaries!!! I'm so grateful and excited for another learning experience doing what I love! Thank you, FastBuds! 🙏 Seed was germinated directly in Rapid Rooter placed in a seedling tray. I put her in darkness for 48 hours and then in a sunny window. Three days later, the seedling's little head poked up and the next day she showed me her first true leaves - calling this day 1. I kept the seedling tray in a sunny window and brought her outside for lunch on my sunny deck with me for the rest of the week. Given the heatwave we were having here, I got her settled into her net basket sooner rather than later so that she could have a more stable environment. This plant will is being grown indoors in an 2x4x8 Gorilla Grow Tent using an 8 gallon Current Culture Solo Bucket under California Lightworks 550 Solar System LED. For grow media I am using clay pellets and I use the entire Cultured Solutions line of nutrients. I will be showcasing this plant in a grow tutorial over on my YouTube channel and IGTV where I am going to show a detailed walk through of how I grew my original "Budzilla" plant. Unfortunately, I don't have a grow diary for her, but she is featured on my IG account. The technique I use I created after harvesting my first grow. I had used low stress training on an autoflower and achieved beautiful results. I took notes the entire grow and conducted a postmortem. I sincerely advise doing this for EVERY grow - especially when you are learning. It provides you opportunity to figure out what went right, what went wrong, what could have gone better, and what ideas you think you can toss into the mix to try to improve on the places that need revamping. I did this and I came up with the hypothesis of starting my plant off-center in the net basket, and then growing it low and in a spiral around the outside. In my head, I thought something like this could really push the limits of low stress training, especially when used on an autoflower where we have a limited time of vegetative growth. I didn't realize, at the time, JUST how effective the technique would be, but when the grower community on IG exploded over the sight of my plant, I started to get a feeling a did something right. As I was still only growing my second plant in my entire grow career, I was completely oblivious to the fact that I had pushed the normal boundaries of an autoflower.... I had nothing else to really compare it to. Nearly a year later, photos of my Budzilla are still being shared around social media in the grow community and I still get asked regularly about how I grew her. And with that, we start here on the journey to attempt the recreation of my former masterpiece. But I'm taking it one step further and giving you a detailed, step-by-step guide so that even the newest of growers can follow along and learn how to push an autoflower to its beautiful edge. Week 11 Update – Harvest Time Approaching! 🌱✂️ BioBizz#1 – BT51 She’s done! She hasn’t had any water for the past five days and will be harvested later this week. AN#4 – BT51 She still needs a little more time—probably another 1-2 weeks before she’s fully ready. AN#3 – BT47 Somehow, she’s managing despite the extremely close distance to the light. I haven’t held back on PPFD at all, but she’s handling it like a champ. Super curious to see what kind of yield she’ll bring in! 😅
