Everything has gone really well up till now , She is start too show the beginning of pre flower , I wasn't expecting that for a couple of weeks so not sure if this is normal ? But she is growing fast and strong , I picked of a few select large leaves that where coving the side branches , but very minimal , mabey one or two leaves of each plant , and also pulled down the branches too help with light getting down into the center of the girl ,

Preparing to yank out top shelf and rejig things. I can only gain 4” but it will be needed as this thing is running hard. Closer than 8-10” to the LED light, and she WILL get cooked! Next Gen grow box gains almost 8” in height with same dimensions, so problem solved. I may have to cut CO2 until stretch is over or just cut altogether. I got a close eye in her. Day 44: She's looking good, and stretching at a rate of 2"/day in her tin can. I did a light defoliation and cleaned up training wires. I'll leave her be from here on out; less some selective defoliation to keep sites open. I cut CO2 (which would have been helpful a bit earlier), and may turn back on at the end of week 8, time will tell. Day 46: She looks like she is 4+ days behind when compared to the other 4 autos I have grown. She will either catch up, take longer to mature, or I'm screwed because of the heavy defol. Flower development seems slow/odd. 10pm and she’s now 22” tall and too close to the light. Flower productivity accelerating for sure. Maybe she will just catch up, and finish late? Bummer I had this one in quarantine. Day 48: leave symptoms developed further into dark rust spots very suspect to a calcium deficiency. I flushed for a few hours, cut Gro out all together and bumped Micro and Bloom. Increased CalMag from .8ml to 1.5 ml/gallon. Now observing. Day 49: Another day or two will tell but it feels like the deficiency is slowing as the progression on day 47-48 was an hour by hour progression. Throughout the week, and almost everyday, I have taken a dozen or so leaves throughout the canopy and the undergrowth. One day I defoliated her pretty good, but not super heavy. Massive leaf production and has crowded the plant/bud sites out in a matter of a day or two. Day 52: Looks like calcium or possibly potassium deficiency back in check. Newer leaves look good and no progression on older leaves.

Regular feeds twice a day the most consistent enviroment ive ever run, and the rewards are there to see. She is stacking great loads of space for her colas and the nicest stawberry smell.. I have a bed of stawberries in the garden and its amazing just how fruity these flowers are.. No drama and nothing to report so a little boring. 3/8 (0745): CP weedlings look super happy. Can see the next node starting to develop between the fan leaves! HK and 710 germinating away. 3/8 (1600): Horticultural charcoal was delivered yesterday so I did a little top dress on the seedlings. Gave a light watering too. 3/9 (0730): Second node is coming in quick! Seeds still germinating but expecting to see green tonight or tomorrow AM. 3/9 (2230): CP growing strong, expect the second set of leaves by EOD tomorrow. HK and 710 broke soil over the course of the evening and will be upright by tomorrow morning! Learned from some key mistakes: didn’t water as much, planted the seed deeper so the shell would come off. Feeling good!! 3/10 (1200): HK and 710 seedlings are making their way up today! Had to help the 710 out of the inner seed coating, which was holding the cotyledons together. Both seedlings are open and getting sunlight, everyone's very happy. Both CPs are growing their second node quickly. 3/10 (2245): watered CPs. PH 6.4 going in and 7.1 coming out. Have been misting the HK/710 as needed. 3/12 (0900): watered/misted all. PH. 6.2 going in and 6.4 coming out. Much better. CPs are filling out their 3-bangers and have the start of growth for the fives. Ordered some smart plugs yesterday in the hopes of automating environment control a little.

Buds are getting swollen, smells somewhat like pine trees.

Day 79, 28th of November 2020: Hi there! Here we go let's say half way. Plants are pretty these Original Sensible Seeds genetics are fantastic! The 2 OG and the Runtz Gum is very strechy. Black Ghost is pretty shorter bushier plant. Runtz Gum and Do-Si-Dos OG approx the same height Do-Si-Dos OG is taller a bit. Wedding Gelato is really cool little, bushy anf nice buds forming not problem with her all she is quiet. Do-Si-Dos OG has some deficiency and leaf gets dry but nothing very serious..... Fertilization is still the same every second day with the rationand mixture above stated. The lamp is on 11.15 min and off 12.45 min. Last week was 15 min longer light cycle.... So every week 15 min shorter light cycle until the 5th week. So far -45 min. It switches on at 6 am and off at 17.15 pm.

very positive feedback on this strain, requires little attention, the production is incredible as well as the final quality. the buds get fat and very frosty. The taste is very pleasant and besides being a cross with blueberry, the flavor of the strain does not become nauseating, on the contrary, the taste is very sweet, berries and flowers.Dinafem is to be congratulated for this strain from another world. Day 9. All is running very nice. Happy with light performace a lot. Girls missed wind a bit, but i cant make it faster, because of neighbours and sound, so i took humidity dome away. TSL2000 runs 40 cm away and on 40% output. Girls get daily shower , try to keep some wet cloth to maintain humidity. Happy Growing !!!

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. This is due to light spectrum, temperature, and/or photoperiod changes. Yes, Freakshow will do exceedingly well indoors, and will thrive and mature just fine in a wide variety of natural environments as well, so it's definitely both and I think might even prove to be more resilient to those sorts of transitions. Q. What are the potency and terpenoid levels? A. Average 18-20% THCa, THC; negligible CBD, CBN with terps variable, averaging 2.5-3.5, primarily limonene and pinene, but this is variable, there was a lot of diversity in terp combinations and compositions in all the prior generations, it's just something that was left "as is" for now. The different parallel lines that we are developing can be directed in a few different pathways flavorwise. Q. Why are the seeds white? A. Why is the sky blue? No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. the plants are not too leafy but still need a bit defoliation around week 3 and 6 of flower, depending on how u grow this ofcourse next time i would bend them more in the net. anyway the buds are rockhard even at the bottom where there was no light.

Very happy with the Sour gorilla. Buds are rock hard and smell sweet and a little gassy. The flavour when smoking has more sour and gives you the lip smacks.

Day 52: Topping soon! Idk, might be too late to do a small topping, but I want to try. This girl is growing at a tremendous rate ;-; Day 53-54: Topped, we'll see how she reacts ;-;

No big changes lately. 2 weeks after last post and seem getting thicker and I see few pistils got darker colour. Buds not very voluminous. Yet they still grow and need few further weeks.

Day 63: Hi all , a productive week it has been this week. The #2 has been taken out for her 48hr dark period before trimming and drying. She jas so much frost onher dark purple and red buds now too. she will be trimmed later tonight so will post a few pics later. Gorilla girls #1 is so close to finishing now too. Her colours are starting really come through now she is maturing and her smell is so sweet and clearly pineapples too. Her yield should be ok bit being kept lower may have been a factor in her overall size. perfect for a low , cupboard grow. #3 is very close to #1 in terms of a finish, if only a few days behind . Shebis so much smaller but her finalnpushbjas bought her on par for the amount of decent sized buds that smell so sweet and are starting to brown off on the tops mainly. I won't rush her but she is close. #4 is still my sneaky favourite for appearance without doubt. She is so beautiful as a plant it will be a shame to cut her down. She is so covered in trichs now that she looks silver and red. At least another week I thinks to get the best from this lady. A brilliant example of genetics. Sweet cheese is also very close to her finish but at least a week jumping by the fresh looking pistils poking out all over her thick main. She stinks of fuel now too. I will be interested to see how much she yields compared to trained ladies. Well hopefully the next update will be to say they are all hanging to dry amd maybe 1 actually harvested.
