the weather in germany is still totally changeable. temperatures from 10 degrees at night to 30 degrees during the day. and lots of rain. she's still alive, that's the most important thing. 💪

A good week overall! Started out a bit rough, as I noticed some yellowing on the oldest leaves. Unclear exactly what the issue is/was. I'm using soil with organic fertilizers, so over-nutrient seems unlikely to me (very little readily available nutrients, all slow-release, only two waterings up to that point). But some folks on different forums think it may be nutrient burn. Alternatively, it could just be lack of light on these leaves (they are very shaded) and touching the soil. Regardless, while researching I noticed that my humidity was way down, hovering nearing 35%. The tent is in a dehumidified basement so this makes sense. Based on VPD charts this seemed non-ideal for the plant, so I added a small humidifier and a RH PID controller. Humidity stays around 55-60% now, which is a nice compromise between keeping humidity up in the tent and not fihgting the basement dehumidifier too much. I also drilled some holes in the container to help air out the soil faster... a DIY janky airpot :) Throughout the rest of the week, LST ties were adjusted and heavily obscured leaves were pruned off. I also started pruning off bud sites that were pointing downwards, in an effort to reduce clutter and wasted resources. All in all, she's looking pretty good. I'll probably flip in the next week or so. I would love to give it some more time to veg, but have a schedule I need to keep later this fall. This strain supposedly flowers in 6-7 weeks, so we'll see :)

Hey growers. This week I decided to water with a heavier ppm as the plants didn’t seem too happy. They were showing some yellowing on the lower leaf tips. Guess I was right bc they exploded up to about 12” +-. Then I decided to top and LST the main stem. Today I just adjusted the ties, removed 1-2 leaves from each plant depending if there was any in the mud or not. Yesterday I watered with 525 ppm, but unfortunately the water was a bit on the cold side and they’re having trouble soaking it up. I have since created a rez in my grow room just to hold RO water at approx 70 degrees. So that problem should be rectified. I think I’m right on the cusp of preflower as I’ve seen one or 2 pistils. Regardless they’re doing their thing and I’m trying to do as little as possible to keep them vegging as long as possible and end up beastly!!! Happy Growing 🌱

Day 35 Shes disappointed me a little with her stretch power, hopefully shes waiting to use her secret weapon a little later into flower. Also cleaned her up down the bottom as those leaves were completely in the shade. Shoot of her top of pot roots looks decent.

💚 ORION LIQUID NUTRIENTS 💜 This is a clear example of me absolutely underestimating the nutrient need when using only liquid nutrients. The plant, as a result, has really not grown as this in comparison with the 💚ORION F1 ORGANIC DRY AMENDMENTS* 💚 Which has been topped and grown 3 times the size of this one! I topped this plant on the 20.6.25. Week 11, & the End of 4 weeks of flowering (30 Days of 12/12) Welcome back to our regular scheduled programming.... Like I mentioned we are officially 30 days into our 12/12 lighting cycle. Now taking into consideration that this is one of the first runs of this particular strain the flower period is partially undetermined, I will be guessing based on Lineage of the parents, & following her closely towards the end to ensure my desired trichome ripeness. Katsu's HotCake's run's Approximately 8-9 Weeks & The Grape Ape run's slightly quicker at 7-8 Weeks You can certainly tell the difference between all 5 plants, I'm very glad I took cuts of everything ! as plants 2 & 3 are certainly the keepers of the bunch.. plant 2 showing some very cool fall colours already (emerson effect hitting strong asf) She is already starting to purple up & smells Very Sweet. My guess is this pheno leans more to the Grape Ape side. As far as plant 3 is concerned I can smell heavy Kush aromas emulating off her already, & based on her flowering structure I believe this pheno leans more Katsu Bubba. but we'll have to wait and see. A Minor amount of leaf plucking this week should be noted.. It will probably be the last time I mess with them, its time to start swelling up. It is my opinion that most of the stretch has been completed & i'm now looking at the final colas minus the couple weeks of filling out of course. As this is the end of four weeks of flower(12/12) Their food will be increased during the next feeding, thus far i've been impressed with the ease of this strain.. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest but I will say this I was weary of over-feeding but all of them seem to enjoy heavy feedings. Big bud strain is the one with smalest buds, but thats my fault, not an easy life for her, many problems with ph result in slow growth.. New growth is now more green, but i think its to late for the recovery so i dont expect to much from her 💔 The others have a few brow spots and yellow leaves but overall they look good 🙏 Watering 3L + nutes every 2 days. Day 45 Buds are getting more fat now 😍 But they have a bit nute burn, a little more on #2, i will reduce the nutes.. Big Bud is still very fragile, with signs of heat stress.. 🙁 Smell is very sweet in the tent 😋

nutrient change 7/18 had to remove scrog net was too difficult trying to move around their to change it out. Another week of explosive growth almost 2 feet tall already and starting to fill up the whole area already. Switched the light to bloom almost out room to move my light up.

Bud wet weight : 168,1g of trimmed medium to big sized buds 25,4g of tiny tiny buds/larfs = 193.5 grams of trimmed wet buds. Details on genetics and smoke report above. This, as my first grow, is way more than I ever expected it to be. I haven´t had that much fun and enthusiasm in a very very long time. I can´t even explain the feeling it is to harvest your own cannabis, but I know most of you know what I´m talking about haha. It was really nice to practice LST, even tho it was SO HARD, ´cause I didn´t had barely any space to work since I used a hard pot and did not fill nearly half the size of it and the walls of the pot were really high. It was even difficult to water without dropping water on the lower buds. I haven´t learnt much about defoliation tho, I feel I need to study a little more about the phases you should or should not do it. Also, I discovered thrips are a pain in the ass. I had 2 tough weeks dealing with thrips, but in the end it was alright. I don´t have any humidity control device, which I intend to buy for the next grows. Growdiaries was really helpful for me, it kept me motivated everyday (not that I wouldn´t have had it anyways), the Grow Questions are REALLY useful and all the community is awesome. Thanks to all people that helped me here on GD during this first grow! To conclude it: I am really happy and satisfied with how the grow turned out. They look incredible, it almost feels like I can´t believe it still. Peace. UPDATES: 07/10 : The buds are now dry and already in curing jars, one of them with a Boveda 58% humidity pack. The total grams of the dry buds are: 41.4g (medium to big sized buds) 4.1g (tiny buds) = 45.5 grams! I´m really happy with the results, I thought it would be around 30g so yeah, that´s a really good surprise! In 2 weeks I´ll be back to update the smoke report. Thanks so much for reading! Peace. 09/10 : I managed to fit everything in the same container with some space between them, so now every bud is with the Boveda pack. 14/10: It´s been a week and the smell improved, it still smells a little like hay/plant ( even tho it´s not too dry neither too wet ). 21/10: Now it´s been two weeks and even tho the smell isn´t anymore hay, it´s a lot herbal. I really think the aroma can get better, but the taste is already good enough for me. The smoke report has been done and in case I have something to add, I´ll report here. Le sfighe sempre a fine ciclo, riprendendo l'over fert ieri ho trovato 2 tubicini dell'irrigazione tappati, quindi non circolando l'acqua 2 piante sono seccate un po, adesso ho sistemato e l'acqua continua a circolare ma mi sa che sono ancora in blocco... attendo qualche altro giorno per vedere se ci sarà una ripartenza, altrimenti raccoglierò questo fine settimana o il prossimo.
