This week made a few oopsies . I gave un-ph’d water to one of the plants “moving to fast” . Started defoliation during this week to attempt to redirect plant energy into establishing a full canopy since flowering has initiated. Whilst defoliating I broke a branch that had to be taped to save it. Humidity went out of whack when I stored 4 prepped 5 gal pots for transplant in the tent sooo I’ve got to buy a dehumidifier bc at one point all my plants fell out in a fit . STILL haven’t filled these pots out, & I’m kinda sure/unsure it’s time to re-amend the soil for flowering. I’m conflicting on waiting until beginning/middle of week 7 so I can flush week 11 & 12 . I think that covers it pretty well Week 5 in the 📚 📕 📖.

Well CDG#4 had gotten so bushy it was messing up the netting and it was getting very hard to tuck due to all the growth. So I had planned on doing the 1st major defoliation a week after I flip but decided to do it early or risk something happening to my girl. So I did it Thursday night after Thanksgiving dinner. Damn did she protest the next few days. It's Sunday night and she has bounced back 200%. Just like they like to do. So flipping her to flower tonight. Nov 27th. Just replaced her water with the flower nutes. Also go my new cogs and parts in so I finished the light upgrade. It's pvc & alum. Angle so it's super ghetto. But it works and works awesome. 376 watts on high. Measured at the outlet. 8 citizen1048 cogs 3500 full spectrum. These have huge as heat fins. And at $18 each fin it's by far the most expensive part of the build. I've got 8 of them.

there is a significant increase in growth after bending the upper cola, as compared with the sativa, the WB grows and blooms much faster, very grateful to your advice, everything is clearly illuminated, on the next allotment I think to add some ice and shed everything with cold water, the flavor is very strong, for three days I made leaf clippings on the lower part of the plant, fertilized 2-3 times a week, I try to add less than the specified norm, I don’t feel like leaves, I feel as you can see it’s not very bad, I feel this variety will be closer to the harvest than the neighboring sativa, it pleases, and I feel the harvest will not be bad) Well, we are waiting for 7 weeks, wish me luck)

The genetics of this planet of the grapes is amazing her structure her build and ability to pack heavy buds is a must have. Very easy to grow she requires medium feeding and takes well with multiple defoliation techniques

Day 75 since seed and and day 5 since flipping to flower. New light came in last Wednesday so I did another round of light defoliation and LST before flipping. The new Spider Farmer G4500 light is AWESOME! LOVE IT! This plants has basically filled half of my 2x4 tent, essentially, filling up a 2x2 tent! I must say I've impressed myself by being able to keep her healthy this long. I hope she rewards me very well I'm the end! Let me know what yall think or what I can improve on.

The Apple Betty girls have performed very well this week! The LST began, and there was some great growth in side branching. I also started this week off with introducing them to some nutrients ❤️ Start of week 4, the girls had responded well to transplanting, so I decided to start with some LST. My main method is to use soft wire wraps (dollar store purchase!) I poke one hole in the side of the pot near the top, and then go directly opposite that hole and poke through to make another. The first hole is for a wire wrap to secure the base of the seedling from pulling right out or over too far. The other hole is for the direction you want to bend your plant to. I start by slowly working the stem between my fingers at the point where I want it to bend. Twisting and pinching slowly so not to snap. *wait a day or two after your last water, or it will be easier to snap* once it’s ready to flop, I use the wire tie to hold down the top of the plant as close as I can to the nearest shoots. I’ll usually leave the plant like this for a couple of days, adjusting the ties, and then take them off to let them recover . Watered with a small dose of the full line of Advanced Nutrients I will be using for this grow. The girls got about 500 ml at the beginning of the week, but 2 days in I could tell they wanted more. By the end of the week they are taking nearly 1/2 gallon (which will give me 10% runoff) At the end of the week I increased the intensity of the BP2500 to 190 watts at the wall and the girls did show a few wrinkles as they adjusted, but have quickly recovered. I haven’t topped these girls, and I’m not sure if I am going to… thoughts? Happy Gardening 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

MY WEED SMELLS LIKE WEED. Filling the room, creeping through the apt, what a glorious time. No major smell worries where I am so I'm just enjoying the atmosphere. 😍 On to Backbuilding/Bud Tipping. (Shoot me any advice on this down below!) I experimented back mid-week with 3 tipped buds that had similar control buds side-by-side. After 4 days there is a noticeable difference in density and bud structure in the 3 tipped buds compared to the very fluffy and softer buds next to them. No overall size difference but the tipped buds are rock hard and filling in gaps down the cola compared to the untipped buds. A light squeeze on both a tipped bud and untipped will tell you the difference right there. Happy with the results after seeing them for myself and lucky enough to find this technique at the end of week 4, I tipped majority of the main colas on Danny and some larger buds on Arnold today. Which means I also get what OG growers call a "First Taste" once my tips dry out and cure for a few days. 😛 Other than tipping, I've just had to keep up with Arnold's feedings since lower leaves are still fading if I skip mineral nute feedings. Looks like they will be getting only PH Perfect and/or Molasses feedings until the final flush since they can't get enough food in the ProMix medium. I've still had constant defoliation during to avoid leaf overlap and light blockage. Since I'm now entering week 5 of flower I'll have to get it where I want in the next couple days and go hands off for the last month or so. Thanks for checking out my grow! Keeping air moving well so far so hopefully I can avoid mold/mildew in last few weeks. Twins are looking good. Arnold still super hungry so I've upped the nutes a tad and skipped plain water feeding until the flush. Just fed them PH Perfect/Molasses cocktail. Big Arnold on the right is definitely rootbound by how the water is draining so I'm looking at a lower yield from the right plant. I get run off from small Danny during a regular feed but takes a lot more to get any from Arnold and I don't want to overwater in this random heat/humidity wave. The Backbuilding/BudTipping is working like a charm. The tipped buds are filling down and way more dense than the untipped. Popped the SoundLink in the tent today to give the twins some music while I go about my business. Day 85. Girls are happy , but small ;))) development for such time is like two weeks minimum behind. Loads of leaves shadowing buds, will do new defoliation session next week. Checked light spread and intensity with mobile and simple lux meter app. Results are weak, but better than cheap red/blue generation. Still get like 25k max feet away. I will grow those strains in main tent , really want to see why are they so slow in development... But smell after touch ... Now Kush is my fav ;))) Girls on water-feed-water-feed schedule. Bio Grow is out. Next week Cal Mag out. Day 88. Lucky day for screw ups ?!?!?!?? ;))) Made first time defoliation when in last round you take all shadowing leaves away, hopefully it won't stress them much .. Usually i was leaving top two fan leaves, now everything shading something and has stem to cut - is out !!! :))) Happy Growing !

This week we gave some more guanokalong nutrients, more specific for flowering the buds are starting to form and getting bigger slowly day by day! We see lot pf bud sites everywhere! Also applied a small amount of foliar bio insecticide just in case before the plant is too advanced in flowering 29 august: nothing 30 august: water 31 august: nothing 1 September: nothing 2 September: water and guanokalong nutrients ( powder, black pellets, palm tree ashes) 3 September: nothing 4 September: nothing

it grows so fast. The lower leaves are shaded and away from the light. So I cut them as the plant gets taller I really don't have a good setup to be able to clean my roots. I tried this week anyway. I watered each pot with 2L (not enough I think :/) of water at 450PPM PH: 7 then after I gave 1L of water at 900PM PH: 5.5. There was a big puddle in the room afterwards. But it wasn't that hard to clean up after all. This is definitely an express strain. These girls are growing rapidly and seem very good for new growers based on their resilience. They are Very forgiving plants but hard to grow with other strains due to differing growth rates. I topped these once and have been doing some lst to try to let the kabul express catch up but it seems my efforts are of no use. 🤷‍♂️🏽🌿
