So it begins.. been wanting to grow this strain all year and honestly can’t wait to see how it goes.. I have high expectations and will be doing everything I can to achieve good quality buds
Everything going as normal, no longer needs skeletal support as the stem has gotten pretty thick, expecting it to shoot up a lot of growth in the coming weeks
Everything going well with my main plant, I topped her and hopefully she will recover well although 2nd is droopy and yellowing hopefully I will be able to find the cause and fix it
Hi one of my plants are in 100% coco and has been droopy and yellowing for over a week and a half and I was just wondering if this could be due to overwatering or something else? I’ve given her azos and great white last week and still no signs of recovery
Are you waiting until pots are light before watering? If not, then overwatering may be causing some of these issues. Also, check your runoff ph to make sure your rootzone ph is in the right zone, if not you will need to adjust your feed ph in order to bring root zone to where it should be. If indeed your humidity is still 65% i'd lower that to around 55%. 65 is great for seedlings, but not so much for veg. Hope this helps. Happy growing.
Everything going well so far, I defoliated 2 of the big fan leaves will consider doing LST next week although I don’t see the point as I am going to Scrog her 2 weeks before flower anyway, will top her in about a weeks time although she’s just blowing up in growth
Getting really big now although Showing brown marks on edges of leaves I’m guessing it’s light burn so I moved the light away by a little bit, will be transplanting to bigger pots in 2 weeks time
Hi all my other plants are perfectly fine except for this one it has brown edges on the leaves and has been growing the slowest out of all my plants and I was just wondering how I could fix this? I checked the run off PPM yesterday and it was 1100 so I flushed it and now its 700
You have more then one deficiency going on. Put the culprit behind these problems triggering them is root problems. Tell sign is all your leaves are wrinkled droop over. I would add hydroguard (eats root rot) and make sure that your watering right and ph is in check these symptoms will clear up
I transplanted her into her final destination 12.5L airpots, she’s turning more and more into a monster each week, although the other plant is still recovering from deficiencies, I bought a new nutrient called hydroguard which is said to eat away dead roots and help deficiencies so hopefully it will thrive
I lollipopped the lower canopy and started the scrog, hopefully this will open up even more shoots, very happy with growth, currently feeding her 3 litres per day of nutrients
Scrog was a major success, tops all over the place, now switched to 12/12 although I am concerned that she is going to stretch too much but I guess only time will tell, very happy with how the grows going so far
She’s still blowing up in growth although lower bud sites aren’t really getting much light, I’m considering defoliating although I would much rather wait until after the stretch is done, I can smell a small nice pre fruity smell coming along, overall very happy with how it’s going, I’m currently feeding her twice a day to 30% runoff and she seems to really like that, will be adding a 2nd scrog net some time next week, lights are still on 50% in order to keep a DLI of around 27
She’s stretching like crazy, every day she grows a few inches, I’ve now switched my light to 75% power, believe it or not I spent 2 hours defoliating, I have a bag full of leaves and she still looks really bushy, also lollipopped most of the growth under the 1st scrog although I will let her recover this week and by day 21 I will be removing all large fan leaves, I can see the baby buds forming although I don’t notice any trichomes as of now, will take more pictures as she develops.
I’ve now included bud candy and big bud into the feeding schedule, only giving her 700PPM at the moment as she seems to enjoy it so will not be fixing anything that isn’t broken.
Still feeding twice a day, I give her A+B and hydroguard the first feeding and the micros and bloom in the second feeding
Stretching has officially stopped as I haven’t seen any vertical growth the past few days, so all growth must be going into buds therefore I did some super cropping to even out the canopy.
I have some yellow marks on the leaves which I’m guessing it’s a nitrogen deficiency due to giving the girls only 700PPM throughout flower, I’m happy with the growth although I think the trichomes are less sticky compared to my last grow, I can only blame myself as I should have given her 1100PPM from Day 1 of flower.
Overall though there are bud sites everywhere, so many that I decided to buy a new light as I don’t think these buds will fulfil their full potential with mars hydro, with this new light my tent light spread is completely even so I have high hopes for this grow.
Some other phenos are purple at this stage so I will most definitely be buying more runtz muffin seeds until I find the purple pheno that I can clone.
Still currently feeding the girls 2 litres in the morning and 2 litres before the lights turn off. Considering adding molasses as a third feeding depending on how the growth goes.
Getting very close to the end now, will probably start the flush in week 9, starting to finally show a little bit of colours, I’ve lowered my temps to 23 degrees and humidity to 50, buds really starting to bulk up now and honestly can’t wait to smoke them, smell is very strong
Getting very close to the end now, lowering my night temps has definatley made the buds more dense, will be feeding her nutrients this week and start the flush from next week, unfortunately I’ve just realised the water pump was the case for my reservoir to be heating up, so I’ve probably messed up it’s nutrient intake, so my next runtz muffin run will most probably be a lot better
Honestly the best buds I have ever smoked and it happened to be grown myself, blows my first grow out of the water, these are the densest nugs I’ve ever seen absolute hard as a rock, I honestly can’t believe I’ve grown this myself, these are the sort of buds you would find in those Cali packs and tastes just like US cali runtz with more of a kick. Twice a day feedings really paid off, couldn’t be more happier with this strain.
I was planning on doing a pheno hunt with this strain, but I yielded a way lot more than I expected so I’ll be taking a well deserved break until I need to grow more. Would like to thank user Esoteric_growing for giving me advice and saving the potential of my grow during the transition to flower, my 2nd grow but thanks to the internet you can learn years of trial and error in days. Will most certainly be doing a pheno hunt of this strain in the near future.
Lovely looking seedling! I've been wanting to watch this strain grow for a quite a while. I will be following along to check out the progress.

@Jayvo, I can just see you will need to do quite a bit of defoliation to open up bud sites and I think that doing it in two sessions lowers the stress on the plant. Don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong to leave it till the end of week 3 it’s just what I would do pal👍
@Jayvo, no worries pal. When a canopy is that busy I usually defoliate at the end of veg and again at about day 20.
Some strains tend to like it more than others though, my runtz muffin seems very sensitive to any stresses and my next run I am handling them with a lot more care. Looking good though pal and I look forward to the next update

@Jayvo, the hydro is going well apart from I have two plants quite larger than the other two. Also went a bit hard on the defoliation but sure they will bounce back. They have also stretched quite a bit more than I anticipated and might have to throw a net over them to control them lol
Looking good, how many days do you think they will be totally finished from the start of 12/12? Mine were all done by 60 days apart from one pheno that could have gone around 66 days.
What’s your opinion on the Zeus LED?
@Jayvo, I noticed that with the sf4000 too and started looking at others, I was set on the geek beast pro led but will definitely have a look at the Zeus👍 My 600w hps is so bad at even light distribution lol
@Esoteric_growing, So far my loupe is showing around 10% amber and the rest are cloudy, although I prefer 30% amber as I prefer the couch lock effect, the Zeus LED is the best purchase I’ve ever made, yeah it’s expensive but it’s a great investment, I was going to get the SF-4000 but it went from £450 to £650 in just under a year, it’s basically just 4 SF-1000s which I already have and I just don’t think it’s worth the price, the zeus gives my 4x4 absolute even coverage to every corner, the second I bought it I noticed the difference in a matter of 2 weeks, I honestly can’t recommend this light anymore but don’t just take my word for it you can see other people’l have the same opinion also.

Also that yellowing on the leaf looks like too much nutrients, 2.2 is very high in my opinion. I am feeding mine 1.3-1.4EC with the shogun and using the full shogun line up apart from the silicon and dragon force and I replaced the shogun boost with bud xl from house and garden.
Also in my humble opinion that’s a lot of different products you use, I reckon you could streamline that down to a maximum of 5-6 just for simplicity and of course cost.
But plants do look great though so please don’t think this as a criticism👍
@Jayvo, I am a bit ahead of you in weeks so I would drop it down to about 1.5 making sure the A and B make up about 70% of your total EC.
At your stage I only add a pk13-14 from around day 28-40 depending on strain. For the runtz I would go from 28-35 if it was ok 13-14 or if it’s the shogun pk 9-18 I would use it as per the instructions on the bottle.
I only add bloom boosters after I peak the PK levels with either of the above mentioned.
Only bloom boosters I use are bud xl from house and garden or shogun boost or canna boost. I normally use them from day 35 until I am about to flush.
In hydro I have used more aggressive bloom stimulants such as shooting powder from house and garden but it’s very difficult to flush in soil and coco I find so tend not to use it.
I think it’s very easy to over complicate growing and you can get fantastic results with minimal amount of bottles but great environment and just concentrating on keeping the plant nice and healthy.
Saying that I do grow sometimes in less than ideal environments and just have to make do lol
@Esoteric_growing, cheers man it’s my second grow so always still learning, I’m only using AN because I bought a load of bottles before I researched further into growing and was just another sold newbie, I’ll slowly be switching to the full shogun lineup once my AN bottles are empty, I’m gonna drop down to 1.3 EC and hope it changes things thanks.. would you recommend molasses at this stage for a coco grow?

Looking good pal, be aware these stretch a lot more than I thought they would. Bare that in mind on when to initiate flower.

Hydro gaurd is great. I use that along with slf100 .advanced nutrients is full of nitrates.you should check out nectar of the gods..I used advanced nutrients for a year or so and I kept getting thrips.i do use bud candy to feed my microbes though.
