26.1.25:
I have had a mistake ๐ i spilt some Fish Mix as I was experimenting with a syphon from some aquarium tubing I have. Unfortunately, I forgot to take the syphon out! Ugh ๐ฃ
However, it is fish emulsion and very thick consistency. Therefore, I was able to scrape it up with 2 of my business cards up off the counter. So added this extra into the next 2 ltr solution I mixed.
All plants were watered with at least 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.3.
Containing the following nutrients;-
โก 3ml Seachem Seaweed
โก 4ml Biobizz Fish Mix
โก 4ml Biobizz Bio-Grow
โก 3ml Biobizz Bloom
โก 2ml Xpert Nutrients Bloom Booster
โก 2ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag
โก .25g Ecothrive Biosys.
โก 2.5g of Bicarbonate of Soda as PH UP.
Unfortunately I have broken my PH pen too. Accidentally submerged it under water, then the readings went crazy.
I'm leaving it to dry by standing it up but I'm most likely going to need a new one, which is extremely annoying ๐
I'm going start implementing the Scrog net probably some point next week if I let the plants that are in flower to just grow up now, as I do believe that I stunted Watermelon ๐ by using too strenuous LST.
Hopefully the plants still are able to grow upwards at this stage during flower for all the Purple Punch P1, P2 and P3.
We will soon see!
28.1.25:
My PH pen has packed up ๐ฃ
I've got to wait to get another.
It's super annoying ๐ so I'm just judging by memory how to regulate it.
Unfortunately, that's my only choice! I'm also out of the dechlorinator ๐ things are not going very well this week so far ๐
I guess we will have to make do, until I can get replenished.
29.1.25:
I removed all the plants, hoovered, and disinfected the tent.
There were several accidents when watering, causing some debris and splashes.
I decided to just go ahead and get a few other things done. It's crazy how quickly things can become neglected! ๐ฃ
So I defoliated moderately on all plants except Gorilla Cookies seedling.
I have absolutely dropped the ball on my lighting situation!
My light was much further away than I thought!
I turned it up to 100% and dropped it down to just under 2 feet away.
After I reset the tent, I set up my scrog net. I removed 80% of all LST pegs. I am planning on letting the scrog net take over the training from here.
I really want to minimise the risk of mould, so I decided to start using my dehumidifier. It has raised up to 73% RH this week, so it's necessary.
Hopefully, I will be able to get my dechlorinator and PH pen soon! That's kind of essential to me.
It's been a little bit of a stressful day in the garden, to be honest ๐
30.1.25:
So I am expecting the arrival of my new PH pen today, as well as my new bottle of Ecothrive neutralise.
It is supposed to measure the TDS and EC in addition to the standard TEMP and PH, which I had previously. Obviously, time will tell if it's any good or not.
I realise, much too late now, that my lighting is very insufficient for this many plants. I need double the watts at least, and coverage is very poor.
I remembered I had an old LED floor lamp, which was in a corner being unused.
I decided to take the stand off, and Zip tied the pole onto the tent pole at the back left corner.
I have no idea what the wattage is, and it's quite pathetic ๐
but I mean, I might as well use it, being as I definitely cannot afford more lights! ๐ฃ
Next grow, I will probably only grow 2 plants, max 4, and just use larger 7-10 Gallon pots.
Being as I ran out of dechlorinator, I only watered some plants properly because I only had enough to make 6 litres. When my pen arrives, I will get everything properly watered.
31.1.25:
The leaves of several plants are showing signs of iron deficiency. This is likely due to my PH pen packing up earlier. I now have a new pen.
Due to this, I decided to use my Seachem Prime, which I use for my aquariums. As I wanted to get them watered properly, and my Ecothrive Neutralise hasn't arrived yet.
I watered each plant with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.0. I added .25g Ecothrive Biosys to the water.
May give them a breather on the nutes and just use the Cal-Mag and Biosys.
Being as I've just topped dressed with rich fertilisers, I'm sure that will be OK for the next several waterings.

Week three and the plants are doing better, still some signs of nutrient burn but the new growth is coming though lovely. Temperature has dropped this week outside and even with an extra heater I can only achieve 23c. Iโve re topped a few plants to try and maintain an even height and let the smaller ones catch up a bit. Apart from that all I have done is take some burnt leafs off and watered with de chlorinated water at 6.5 ph, the โall mixโ pragron soil is very hot compared to the light mix. Iโll probably stick to using light mix once all the all mix has gone

The buds have developed incredibly nicely this week.
The smell is getting more and more extreme :-) .
The whole plant itself looks perfect ๐.
The growth has slowly stopped as the full energy goes into the production of the buds.
This week it was watered 3 times with 1.2 l each (nutrients see table above)
They were individually inspected and checked for their health.
Osmosis water for the coming week was refilled in a 100 l tank ๐.

So this is the start of the fourth week with me. I find this very engulfing. I like spending an hour with them a day and move the little ones out of the bigger fan leaves shadow by tucking the larger ones away giving the little ones a chance to get more light and flourish. Iโm noticing more the strain my one girl went through compared to the others, her leaves being smaller than the other girls. Iโve tried to give them the best environment I can and realize I still play a huge role in their life. This is my first grow and I love it. I hope they grow up well and flourish. They were fed last week and had a bit of nutrient burn so this week I gave them just water. Iโm not sure how much longer I should veg but I hear in the scrog game the longer you veg the better. Hoping for the best for everyone on GrowDiaries and their grows!

The stretching phase has been progressing nicely - Itโs a bit hard to see due to the low stress training, but growth is steady. The middle plant is a bit ahead in terms of development, though it should even out with the others over time.
Iโve been dealing with a heatwave this past week, with temps in the grow environment peaking at 34ยฐC. To combat this, I increased airflow with an additional fan and opened the tent flaps. Temperature is now back down to around 28ยฐC, but the downside is that humidity dropped to 50โ60%, which isnโt ideal for this early stage. Still, we push on!

Disaster!
I havenโt been able to see the plants for almost 3 weeks after catching Covid. This one looks like it hasnโt faired too well but we donโt give up. I had someone watering the plants for me but no nutrients. Iโm guessing thatโs why sheโs crisped up so much. We will see, Iโm back now and sheโll be getting some nutes on the regular. Fingers crossed we can get some nice bud.

Training and defoliation, plus i decided to transplant two bench plants that were chillin in 500ml cups incase smth goes wrong with the rest but nothing went wrong ofc.
So i transplanted them into 3 galons and supercropped so at least i get somewhat even tops.
Plan is to veg them 7-10 days more and we go into flowering :)

A week with lots of activity from my side, from the Gorilla's side, not so much. She stays behind and I can't find any other reason than genetics/seed quality. She is in exactly the same conditions as the other girls. I'm letting her do her thing. She will give some weed, well see how much. Maybe she is a late-bloomer. She does look lush and healthy so we do not understand but are learning. I put in the scrog net since her roommates need it and lowered the lights and started giving more flowering feed.
The light is still awesome, the amount it puts out. This SP- 3000 rocks and, wallet permitting, we will go for a second one. @MarsHydroLED might be so happy with the amount of coverage we give them, they'll send us another one ๐

We are gonna see what happens coming weeks with this strain. So far I am a bit disappointed and didn't expect this from this strain. We will never know if it was the age of the seeds or something else.
What I do know is, it was the last time I use a third party seedbank, it is apparently too hard to keep fresh stock with too many strains. Until breeders put a production date o the packaging. Isn't it time someone said that?
Cause lets keep it real, we are talking seeds that in any other case would have a cost of production of fractions of cents per seed. We pay what? 3 to 5 to maybe even 20 dollars a seed for an exceptional strain?
Is it then too much too ask to put a friggin expiry date on the package? Or store them cooled?
The breeder that does that and arranges a deal with third-parties that overstock can be sent back, packaging recycled, in exchange for fresh stock. Like any other fresh trade.
For an industry making what, a billion worldwide, it is remarkable how many are still in the stoner with a garage / 80's trailer park, backwater funfair warranty, kinda customer service.
Me: i grow organic weed for 30 years, these seeds were old
Seed dealer: Yes but you failed to do a raindance on the rising moon, no refund.
Me: but its for cannabis?
Weed industry: Yes why we charged you double!
Me: wow no germination after paying 20 bucks for seeds?
Industry: They are all stoners, they won't notice....

Can they get their shit together? For god's sake, I've seen crack dealers with better PR and customer care.

The girls are finally outside in 20 gallon fabric pots. This season I have a greenhouse for them and I hope it goes good. Still have to build the first cages around them and start stretching them. ๐๐ finally, summer is here ๐๐

Shes having her last flush today on her day 75.
Its a late journal im totally new here and at growing too since i started this new passion on late december 2019 so 6 months ago or already 2 harvest ago lol.
Just to let everyone know that this is my first time ever growing automatics too and wont be the last cause ill go again in auto mode next run. 1st run was fem seeds from crop king too the blue cookie.
No lst or defoliation on this run cause im too new to this and i tried in my first run and i made so many mistakes lol. Not this time oh no :D
I gave myself a chance to learn about my plants and how to feed well this time.

Starting my first grow in the new tent with my first Night Owl seeds. Grabbed these from seedslocker a few months ago and they've been sitting in my seed vault in the fridge since. Popped them in a glass of water at 8pm on 10/18. Broke out the AC Infinity propagation system and added a bit of RO water to some coco pucks. About 24 hours later they sunk in the glass and had opened up a bit with root peaking out, so into the pucks they went on the evening of 10/19. No real movement on 10/20, turned the heat pad off because they were a little warm. Morning of 10/21 the first Compound V was starting to pop through the soil, 2nd one followed a couple hours after and before noon all 3 were making their way out. Opened vents on the dome to let them breathe a bit more. 10/22 continuing to grow really strongly, looking good. 10/23 some roots out the bottom, time to go into the tent. Transplanted and seem happy, dialing in the temp and humidity and airflow, some odd higher temp days still around this time of year with some heavy fluctuations but it will normalize out.
The tent has been stood up and cooking a bit w/ the lights blazing and a dehumidifier running to dry out our soil a bit. Had issues with fungus gnats last grow and I'm trying to prevent that this time. Ordered some beneficial nematodes as a line of defense and sprayed soil with a good soak of neem oil as a precaution after drying out. Sticky traps show no gnats so far. Soil is Coast Of Maine Stonington Blend Aeration Formula, a 70 / 30 Coco / Perlite blend that I've used before. I have Coast of Maine dry nutrients and Fox Farm liquid nutrients, will likely try to stick to the dry nutrients unless fungus gnats emerge again. Soil is in 5 gallon fabric pots. I added 2/3 cup of Stonington Blend Plant Food and 1/3 cup of Wiscasset Blend Earthworm Castings to each pot along with some Mycorrhizal Fungi spores and worked it in.
I have been using the AC Infinity self watering bases but as I'm running 6 total plants this grow I've ordered the new Vivosun self watering bases to compare them.

This is my third Bahama Bustdown I've grown. This one is nothing like them. Lol. But! These spears are super dense super frosty and super dank! But heavy on the Chem smell. Very different Bustdown

The tentโs getting noticeably more fragrant - those complex notes of citrus, pine, and cardamom are now joined by a sharper diesel layer when the buds are disturbed. Buds are visibly denser this week, especially on the main colas. Stacking is steady, and trichomes are beginning to cloud ever so slightly, though most remain clear. No amber yet.
Lower leaf yellowing has continued - older fans fading out slowly - but now Iโm starting to see yellowing creep up into the mid and upper canopy. Nothing aggressive, but itโs definitely progressed since last week. Fan leaves are still perky, and sugar leaves remain healthy, so I donโt suspect toxicity or major imbalance - just a steady drain of mobile nutrients as the plant puts all energy into flowers.
Fed with full nutrients mid-week (2L: 3 mL Micro / 1.5 mL Grow / 3.75 mL Bloom, pH 6.4), and removed a couple of fully yellowed fans from underneath. Soil has stayed evenly moist with good bag weight - I've been careful not to overdo watering volume to avoid damp pockets. RH is steady around 50โ55%, with temps hovering ~25ยฐC. VPD is within range.
No signs of foxtailing, stress, or pest pressure. Canopy is even under the trellis, light at ~36 cm above tops. Still tracking macros regularly - trichomes developing well.
Flush date is locked in for Week 11, based on travel plans - not trichome maturity. For now, the feed rhythm continues, and Iโll ride the line as long as I can to bulk up the flowers before transition.
