Week 5 topping and clean up and used top for a clone

Ladies are still doing great, the only problem is that the leaves are burning a little too early. This might be due to the previous pH problem that resulted in a nutrient lock-out... All the buds are developing very well, and looking super icy, smelling amazing and looking dense. Both pheno's are really smelling like sweet sour artificial cherries, really excited to see how these will turn out.

D22. Defoliated, gave plain RO water and dimmed the light. Next is auto irrigation. D23. Finally received all of the Athena nutrients and fed for the first time. D25. Removed the small runt plant with the twisted stem. The plant started growing pollen sacks. D26. Raised light as much as I could without using zip ties. PPFD now 650-790. EC tonight 2.4.

Week 4 of flower Mann I think she’s looking pretty good!!! She’s really starting to swell up. I was running my ppms at 800 the last week but I upped it to 950 this week. She’s responding great and no leafs have burnt. And Mann is she popping trichomes like crazy already and she smells nice light but you smell her. I’m loving DWC more and more. She is drinking a lot so I am constantly watching water level. Week 5 lets get it!!!!

Lessons learned from week 1 of my first grow so far: the best watering solution I found so far is a mix of distilled water from the store and filtered tap water. with a final ph of 6 and ppm of 20-40. a little ph buffer goes a bloody long way. Use with caution. performing tasks like mixing solution and potting a germinated seed are best performed without a phone (camera) in one hand. the seed germinated within 24 hours using paper towels. I planted after 36 hours. After 24 hours of potting, the stem was already shooting up, and I turned on the lights, set to an 18 hour schedule. I wasn't quite ready for this, so it took me some time to research and get the desired humidity and temperature. At this point I added more nutrient in even quantities of FloraGro, FloraMicro, and FloraBloom, according to instructions. Perhaps a little early though, although after just one 18 hour light cycle this plant is shooting up like a rocket and showing leaves. I bought a fan for the inside of the tent and propped it up on a box, and a humidifier to bring the humidity from 40-50% to around 70%. Since it's a winter grow, I have to periodically increase the temperature to keep it at 25 °C. The intake fan, humidifier, and inside fan are significantly lowering the temperature. I'm also experimenting with finding the right humidifier settings since the humidity seems to increase a lot when the lights go out, and the machine is still new.

Night 87 since seed touched soil. In total darkness, after work i came to check huge rain damage - found bud rot. #1 goes down. Day 94. Last two girls are down, this summer adventure is over ! If early spring, in theory you can have two auto harvests easy, even in UK ... Happy Growing !!!

Finalmente ci siamo quasi... Le strawberry banana sono state divise con due contenitori da 20L...la n° 1 (la più piccola) è in flush.. This Auto Sour Diesel seed from Homegrown Cannabis Co. are fast growing and very strong resistance even if the plants suffered from heavy nutrient burns , still produced good amount of buds. Day 64 - I've been patiently waiting for the time to come, and it's finally here! Changed the lights over to 12/12 to send the tent into flower. Current light settings R99 W99 B50 as suggested by California Lightworks. I did a full reservoir change - switching over to bloom nutes. I also added some Si28 and P31 Microbes to the reservoir to test out this new product that I was fortunate enough to receive samples of. I've seen the results of others with crazy booming root growth.... Let's see what happens! Day 65 - I swear, it's like she's been waiting for me to flip the light cycle. I kicked one plant out of the tent so now there's even more room for improved air circulation and light distribution. This plant is a serious beast! Day 67/ Day 3 of Flower - Last massive round of defoliation before I sit back and let her do her thang. ✌️

The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing fast, stretching long and I'm constantly tying down branches to maintain an even canopy. There's also a stronger scent of lemon already in the tent. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 3L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----prior 4 weeks updates ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. Lost a branch end with 3 nodes accidentally whilst tucking away so now I'm super careful. The Sativa dominant strain is stretching nicely and bends easily. Minor defoliation of lower branches and fan leaves continues daily. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle. One more week of vegetative growth before switching to flowering although I may need to switch earlier due to the vigorous growth and considering the stretch yet to come. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ................................. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My grow setup includes; - Secret Jardin DS120W tent (120cm x 60cm x 180cm) placed inside the bedroom. Passive intake of air is from a closed off section of the room where the central heating boiler sits - the intake is warm air (20 degC.) and fairly dry (40% RH) during the winter months. - Mars Hydro SP250 LED light - extraction fan - AC Infinity Cloudline T6 - ventilation fans - aquarium heater - small oil heater - small dehumidifier - 20L Airpots and 3.5L general pots for seedling stage - Canna Coco substrate and nutrients - pH and EC/TDS meters - Thermo/Hygro meter

3x3 TENT HARVEST UPDATE - all four girls started from clone were harvested after trichome check of mostly cloudy with 15-20% amber (after only 42 days from switch). Harvested on 12/3 and jarred after 8 and 10 day dry times. Roughly four ounces of some really sticky and stinky buds. So, while girls were not big producers, the quality is primo! Glad I took cuttings of the G-41, Frosty Gelato, and Black Cherry Gas. These are the first additions to new mother tent. 2x2 Tent (8 clones and 1 Afgooey Auto) - During the week clones began showing signs of revegging. Should be ready to transplant by weeks end. Afgooey is just now starting to pre flower, which is completely opposite of her two sisters, which only vegged 3 weeks before going into flower. Gave her a good defoliation, since she is squatty, bushy and generally growing more like a true indica. Transferred clones and Auto to the 3x3 tent at weeks end. 2x4 Tent (French Macaron WK5F) - Dealing with huge Ph swing in an organic soil grow. Ph reading below 5. Began ph'ing at 7.0 - 7.5 to slowly adjust her back to normal. Transferred the two Afgooey Autos into 3x3 tent at weeks end. 3x3 Tent (3 Afgooey Autos WK3F & 8 clone varieties) - Transferred all three Afgooey Autos under Mars-Hydro FC-E3000 set at roughly 75% or roughly 500-600 PPFDs. Transplanted 8 clones from dixie cups to 1 gallon pots with PPFDs roughly 300-400. Ph'd and watered autos and clones.

Yesterday I discovered that, in order to change my timer, I didn't put the clock back onto it. Now they had 3 hours more light on the third day of flowering. Exactly the kind of oopsies this grow really doesn't need. But it happened and all back on a normal schedule, but I hope the OHS en GG4 aren't affected by it too much... One accidental re-vegging is more than enough for a year. Also, these sensitive strains can hermie on me for lesser reasons so from now on I'll be checking for male signs daily. The XTraKush is performing as advertised, with enormous stretch, these plants can go 10 ft up according to the breeder. So I'm tying them down and managing this to fill out the space. With all the stuff going on, this 'underdog' strain might even prove most resilient, when all is said and done. They seem to respond really well to the SP-3000 light and If you are in the market for a new light, consider this option from Mars Hydro. Cheese has always been my all time favourite Strain, really surprised how I haven't grown none yet since I started growing. So I went with my usual germination method, Cup of water for 24hrs then move onto the wet paper towel for another 24hrs in my tent with the heater turned on to keep temps around 26 degrees. Initially I am planning on running her underneath my Mars Hydro TSW 2000 in my 3x3 but depending on how much space is available in Flower I might switch them to one of my 4x4 tents. Really excited to see what I can do with the Cheese, wish me luck guy's & Happy Growing 👍🏾🌱💚

Time for the stretch! Lots of flowering growth happening now. I can see where the bud spots will be so I’m going to have to stop moving the branching around in the Scrog, also the branches are getting thick and less pliable.
