Day 72: The Finale 🌿🌟 It’s finally time. My very first grow is coming to an end—at least the cultivation phase. The plant is now ready for harvest, and I can’t believe how incredible this journey has been. I never expected to enjoy the whole process so much—from nurturing the plants to watching them grow and evolve. I’m absolutely hooked and can’t wait to dive into the next steps: harvesting, drying, curing, and of course, starting a new grow soon with fresh ideas and experiments! While it may not be the largest yield, the quality of the buds speaks for itself. The time, love, and care I’ve put into this grow is visible, and I’m pretty proud of the results. I’ll admit, I was a bit impatient at times (which I think every first-timer can relate to 😅), but the experience was priceless. Here are a few interesting highlights from my trimming and harvest process: 1️⃣ Dark Phase Before Harvest Two days before harvest, I put the plant in complete darkness to encourage resin production. I'm not sure if it really made a difference, but it was worth trying! 2️⃣ Wet Trim vs. Dry Trim I decided to go for a wet trim because the buds were really dense, and I wanted to avoid any risk of mold. I’ve read that wet trimming can speed up drying and may slightly impact the quality, but this is part of the learning experience. Next time, I’ll try a dry trim for comparison! 3️⃣ Yield Update Wet, the total came in at 97grams from my plant. Trimming took around three hours, and it was actually a lot of fun, despite the time commitment. 4️⃣ Curing Plan The buds are now hanging in the tent for about 8 days. Once dried, they’ll go into jars with Boveda Packs (62% humidity) for another 3 weeks of curing. I'll update the smoke report once they’re fully cured, but I’ve already had a sample of the same strain from a friend, and I can say it’s pretty amazing. Final Thoughts on My Grow 🌱✨ As mentioned earlier, this grow has been an absolutely incredible experience, and it has definitely set me on a path to jump right into my next grow. There were ups and downs along the way, such as over-pruning, which I believe stressed the plants a bit. Additionally, I think they could have benefited from an extra week to mature. We also faced many temperature fluctuations this summer, which impacted the plants due to external weather conditions. I'm really pleased with the quality of the buds. The quantity is okay—I can’t fully gauge it yet—but I’m sure there’s more potential to unlock. I've gained valuable experience in what worked well and what didn’t. Overall, the countless lessons learned during this grow far outweigh the few mistakes made. I'm incredibly proud of my first results! Wow, they are growing! Began LST on day 26 and have been working them daily. We did run into our first speed bump. Noticed that some newer growth near the tops of the plants had white/yellow tips on leaves. Using a CMH, I was concerned my light was too close. I moved the light up quite a bit but continued seeing new growth with this problem. Realized it was likely minor nute burn from FFOF... wow it really is as HOT as I have heard... something to consider on future grows. I have left the light up higher though, as I read multiple accounts of people using CMHs near top of tent with no negative effects. To this point, I have seen no stretching or anything that would cause me to lower the light. I did do a light cal/mag feeding once this week but do not believe it has anything to do with the burn. Reading other grow diaries for this strain, and using RO water, I wanted to begin feeding at a low ppm. Maybe not the best idea considering, but we live and we learn. Hello growers and tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 There has been much change this week!! First there was a big defoliation done, I cleaned the bottom of the plant. All the growth that wouldn't amount to anything because the light doesn't penetrate that low. Also took off the biggest fan leaves to give more room for light. Then finally switched to 12/12.. After just 36 hours after the defoliation there was a major change. New growth everywhere, colas started stretching upwards fast. It's like she already knows it's flowering time. Great reaction to the defoliation and 12/12 switch. I'm still watering every other day, After the defoliation I watered with only Enzymes 2ml/L to clean the roots a bit then started with the nutrientes again. I dropped the amount of grow nutrients from 3ml/L to 1ml/L and started adding bloom nutrientes 2ml/L for now. I'll slowly be upping the bloom nutrientes and after week 2 I'll no longer add grow nutrients. That's it for this week. Stay tuned to see how she flowers. Stay safe!

2 weeks to flower in main tent. Red Hot May have had a little nute burn. Lighting is at 628 on Par meter. 78deg avg. Malt was accidentally super cropped. Healing from splitting her branch. Oozecake aka Judy is my prize now. She fought through some mold 1st week. Transplanted her with only 1 node. Then her 2nd transplant to 1 gallon she was stunted for a week.

Welcome to Week 8 of flower...... The plants have developed a more sour lemon scent. Which is pretty lovely to the nose. Both plants have really nice dense thick buds. Plant 1 is starting to show signs of fall colours. She has always had are lime green colour to her upper leaves. Now a beautiful red colour is appearing on the edges of leaves. Plant 2 the main colas have become so heavy that they are all leaning over. I've started introducing a bit of drought stress. Holding back between waterings. I'm hoping by doing this it will help to kick the girls into overdrive and start using stored sugars. It's seems to be working on plant 1 as the leaves are starting to yellow.

Water only this week. The dank is beginning to come out. The buds are sticky and getting louder by the day. I can't really say anything that the video doesn't. This is the point where the work we do at the beginning of the grow pays off in a bit of relaxation time for a few weeks before harvest. This is only week 5 of flower, so the girls have some time left. I'm starting to get excited now!

The little is growing really really good,so much that i had to defoliate on day 30,earlier than i anticipated. Hope she will like🤞🤞 On day 33 she's Still really growing well,getting more thirsty day by day. Will do another defoliation on week 6,hoping to be last before harvest

From the beginning to the end this genetics was absolutely strong , she wins against very big thrips attacks, 100% well finished , true African sativa power my friends here ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Drying

Good start to the week, of course it's only been the first day. Got the humidity up with a new humidifier and all has been great for a couple days. "Plant Success Revolution: Great White" Is in, so that'll be used once I repot as an inoculant as well as a root dusting. Depending on the growth of the plants over the next couple days to a week, I'll be repotting this week or next week sometime. Updates as they come; of course. - This prior week's timelapse will be up tomorrow. -2/23/2021 Gave a foliar spray of kelp extract right before lights out, the morning of 2/24 I noticed gray/white staining on the leaves where the droplets were. Will keep an eye on it. -2/24/2021 Carl 2 looks to be experiencing a deficiency, perhaps a nitrogen deficiency. Slight yellow mottling of the lower leaves. As with the spots, will keep my eye on it. -2/25/2021 Carl 2 is certainly experiencing what I believe is a nitrogen deficiency. Will be feeding properly next watering. -2/25/2021 Additionally, Carl 2 has definitely been helped by the kelp. It's almost the size of the plant that had been larger before and hadn't been sprayed with the kelp foliar. -2/26/2021 All plants were root drenched with some Great White Mycorrhizae - Should be fun too see how this plays out. The feed concentration in the "nutrients" section is NOT accurate. I put a light dusting into the sprayer. -2/28/2021 - Significant growth from all plants, seems the kelp and the GWM are doing their jobs.

3/27/25 massive amounts of roots shooting out the bottom from doing bottom watering. 3/30/25 these ladies are starting to find their roots and getting a little vigor finally. they allhave a healthy growth of lower nodes. She may not need any topping or if she does then it will be a nice even canopy very easily. Theyre still under a simple 32 watt light and doing fairly 4/1/25 alot of growth has happened this week as you can see from the begining of the week pictures to the end of the week pictures
