Afghan Hash Plant, week 6 of flower. Another frosty strain, but not quite as frosty as the Mango Merengue but still beautiful. The Afghan Hash has a sweet citrus smell with an earthy smell. Not much to do other then water since they got their last bit of slow release nutrients acouple days ago which lasts 3 weeks.

What’s up this is the very start of week five these plants are huge really filling out the screen good. The grow XL really kicked into high gear. Got tons of tops and nodes poking up. Keep folding everything down under the screen and it’s really getting good results. Nutrients are doing great everything has a really nice color. The DWC plant water got a little high on the PPM for a day towards the end of last week so I started to see a little bit of tipp nute burn butt got the water changed out and everything is looking great again. I topped that plant really good and it’s got a really nice round shape trying to get it to fill the whole end of the tent screen. I’m pretty excited about this plant. This will probably be the last week of veg well I know it will everything’s in pre flower pretty heavy. And they have a really strong smell for being where they’re at in their life cycle which is cool! I’ll update again in a few days thanks for stopping by and as always 🍻

Week 6 Flower Up until flush, she was only given PK, sugars and sweeteners, and the microbes (listed above). Everything else has been stopped to ensure a proper flush. She started her flush on Day 40 as I want to get a nice fade on her after a long flush. My girls are in coco and perlite, in fabric pots sat on benches so they dry out within 2 days. Because of this I can flush a lot of water through them without overwatering. Infact, the amount of water I put through them doesn't make a difference to how quickly they dry. Good air movement around the pots also helps them dry, and stops any stagnant air within the lower half of the tent and within the plants, preventing any moulds. When flushing, I first feed just enough water to create a run off into the tray so I can read the ppm and pH value. Doing this lets you know how your plant has been performing; whether she's been way off in pH and locked out by having a high/low pH and high ppm, or if she's been doing just fine with a pH range within tolerance and around the same ppm value or less than you've been feeding. This girl was in perfect health, with a good pH and ppm. After that, I flush up to 30ltr and then take a second reading from the last bit of run off. The ppm is the main thing I look at this time, to see how low I've taken it from the flush. Personally, I find the girls fade much sooner, and more overall by doing a bigger flush as it takes almost all of the nutrients out of the coco within a few days. That leaves the plant with nothing but her own stored nutrients to feed on for the next 2+ weeks. A better flush means a better, cleaner smoke. She's stacked up and swelling by the day with huge buds. Not the frostiest strain I've ran, but still covered in trichomes and extremely strong scented. She smells of mixed berries and grapes 🍇 I can't wait to try! Thanks for following and happy growing! 🐺

Good bit of growth this week, plenty of bud sites forming and she is drinking alot of juice. I think she is doing really height wise, I only vegged for 4 weeks to keep her height appropriate and I don't want her to stretch too much towards the light so she's growing accordingly. I accidentally split the topped stem during transport when I forgot she was attached to the grow bag but she seems fine and getting on with it. As soon as all the budsites have formed I'm going to defoliate and get some light on them lower budsites and make her focus on growing some nice colas. Next time I will leave the LST on until about now cos she's straightened up a lot and it's a bit more crowded lower down than I would have liked. Overall Development Week 4 marks the transition into mid-flower. Stretch has mostly stopped, and the plants are now directing energy into bud formation. The canopy remains uneven, with some taller, thinner phenotypes and others more compact and structured. Bud sites are clearly established across all main branches. Flower stacking is progressing steadily, and early cluster formation is visible on the tops. Plant Health & Observations • Significant yellowing on older fan leaves, especially mid-to-lower canopy. • Some plants appear pale green overall, indicating high nutrient demand during bulk transition. • One or two phenotypes remain darker green and structurally stronger. • Lower interior growth is lighter and less vigorous. • Selective removal of old yellow leaves was continued to improve airflow and light penetration. Despite visible leaf fade, bud development continues actively. Bud Development • Flower clusters are expanding and beginning to connect along the stems. • Pistil production is strong and consistent. • Buds are not yet dense but are clearly transitioning into the bulk phase. • Resin production is beginning to increase. This week represents the start of the main swelling period. Environmental Adjustments • Temperature reduced slightly (~1°C) to stabilize the flowering environment. • Airflow maintained across canopy level. • Canopy density moderately thinned to prevent moisture buildup. • Light coverage remains strong across the upper layer. Current Focus (Entering Week 5) • Support nutrient demand during bulk phase. • Prevent excessive early leaf loss. • Maintain stable humidity to protect developing flowers. • Monitor weaker phenotypes closely for further decline or nutrient imbalance. Overall, the crop is entering the critical mid-flower stage. The next two weeks will determine final bud density and structure.

Well this week has gone a bit pear shaped. I think it is a combination of light stress and the new soil I'm using. Also the soil had fungus gnats. I won't use it again but it was an experiment and I've learnt that soil isn't my substrate of choice! Back to my super coco mix! 😁 I'm going to see if I can pull it through. I've got plants through worse! Wish me luck. I watered twice this week with 1ltr of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6-6.5, containing 1ml of Ecothrive Trace and 1/4 TSP Ecothrive Biosys. I will say that the soil is very difficult for me to judge the moisture level to water accordingly.
