A big hello to all the cannabis growing gardeners...and all the other visitors that came across my grow journal. This week was very relaxing, i add only PH+ (again ;), Calmag and PowerZyme. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now cannabis smell is overpowering in my grow room I can finally write something about Spider Farmers 6-Inch Inline Fan with Smart Controller and Carbon Filter :) As my grow room gets really stinky at times i always invest in a top shelf carbon filter almost twice the size of the one provided by Spider Farmer, to my shock Spider Farmer carbon filter absorbs the smells wonderfully well. No smell leaks and that just when the fan is running at 5 out of 10 levels of output. The smart controller is something completely new to me, and had a lot of fun experimenting with it during the veg and early flower, when the smell began i needed it to run full time at level 4 or 5 to rid the fragnance. All in all the whole combo is a great deal. If you are not as keen on technology the set without the controller is awesome on it's own. But to have some extra options open, the controller at the device throws at you a ton of settings you can use to optemiase you grow enviornment. Hello Growers and Tokers! 👋 👩‍🌾 🧑‍🌾.🔥💨 Sorry for the delay on the updates. ** THIS TEXT SERVES FOR WEEKS 14-18** I had ALOT of problems with this lady these past 4 weeks. Really bad weather, rain, wind, blazing heat, cloudy, temps going from 17-35C every other day for 2 WEEKS straight.. very sketchy! World's going to shit y'all! Also had a Spider mites battle for 3 weeks and finally got rid of them. And on top of that, all of the pictures I had weekly were deleted off my pc.. Only have a few for each week, luckly found those on my phone. I've been watering 2L every other day for the past 4 weeks. Some days less.. about 1.6L beacuase there just wasn't enough sun for her to drink up. On week 16 there were some crazy-ass MFing winds. I'm talking gone with the wind style. As I had the spider mite problem, I didn't want to bring her in the house and risk those little fuckers finding their way to my grow room. (As I have that section perfectly isolated and pest free, wanted to keep it that way.) The result of not bringing her inside? The bottom branches that weren't tied down properly because I didn't think they would be damaged as the balcony has a little wind breaker on the bottom half. But to my surpise.. all three branches snapped and broke, So i decided to go ahead and take them off. I know it isn't much info for the past weeks, but It's what I've been battling with. The buds are airy as a result of all the stress, don't look to appleaing to be honest. My other two GSC came out GREAT, awesome lovely dense buds but those were different conditions. I'm just finishing her to harvest because she made it through a big battle and deserves to be harvested as a champion she is. Keeping in mind this was just a balcony experiment to see what I can and can't do with this balcony.. I'm not too worried about the final outcome. Luckily she pulled through so i'll make some hash with what I harvest. I'll also be joining the FastBuds Halloweed contest with this lady before harvesting and I've got the perfect idea... 😏 Pistils are brown and curled. Trichs are all cloudy and almost half past dew.. I've been watering for past 10 days with only water. So I'll be harvesting soon. I'll take some better pictures this week after the halloweed dress up and before harvesting. Flowering day 74 since time switch to 12/12 h. Hey guys :-) Finally the time has come . The lady was harvested and hung upside down in the dry tent 😍. Before that, she stood in the drying tent in complete darkness for 2 days and the large leaves were removed. The small leaves stay attached during the drying process so that they protect the buds and allow them to dry more slowly and evenly :-) . In the dry tent, the temperature is 18-19.5 degrees and the humidity is 54-58% 👍. In this environment they are now allowed to hang for 10-14 days before they are fine-tuned and trimmed clean by hand. then after trimming they come to ferment for 6-12 weeks in dark jars with bobeda packs 62% to keep the perfect humidity. After a few weeks, the Boveda packs 58% are used so that they can slowly dry out :-) . Of course there is one last update after trimming. Until then, I wish you a lot of fun with the update. I've given triacontanol a whirl I don't have a control to compare to and I've gone from coco to dwc but there is a shitload of tops emerging , its paste I've used at a rate of 1g to 20l of feed I've only hit her with it twice once in veg and just in wk 1 of flower it does make the feed frothy but not to a problematic point from what little info I've found less is more with it I've backed right off with part a and upped part b of the hydrocrop and next feed is pk am aiming for 1gpw if I manage that il be 😊

Some issues started to appear on the top leaves. I think this might be the CalMag problem everybody complains about sooner or later. Changed the water on the last day of this week and doubled the amount of CalMag supplement. Also I had to tie some of the lower branches up so they don't lean against the tent. Will definitely have to come up with something to keep the plants from falling over for the next run.

Day 14 - This girl was topped above the second node! She's showing some variegation, but is growing very strong! She's growing in Schultz premium potting mix, and is getting watered with de-chlorinated tap water at a dosage of 1 red solo cup every day from days 1-7, then 2 solo cups from days 7-14.

As you can see from the third picture on day 29 she is looking a little ugly and unkept. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing or something I need to take action on. Advice would be great. So day 30 rolling around. Decided I had to try LST again. She felt more receptive to being bent over today as well. I mainly had to attempt it for space reasons. With the current covid panic all the markets where I buy my buckets from are closed and I can't procure a new one to increase my height for probably a couple of weeks at this rate so LST was my only option. She seems to have taken well to it and I will upload a finished picture of her shortly. Day 32, watered and fed her. 500ml of water plus .3ml each of fox farm trio. Hoping to see her perk up a bit. Concerned about the large brown spot on one of her leaves which made me think she was having a deficiency? Probably a bit early to worry about buds fattening up also but I am worried they are looking a bit airy at the moment on the non main cola sites. I'm not sure if my LST was effective at tricking her into trying to have more than one top cola? Day 33. No noticeable gains today, at least to my eyes. I can spot a little nute burn perhaps but hopefully nothing too serious. Looks like a cola that isn't the original top is starting to fill out just as much, if not more, than the original top though. Hoping they all catch up at a similar pace to each other and reduce the pop corn nug potential! Day 35. She has shown a few more bud sites since last post. I am worried that she is going to produce a fair bit of larf/popcorn bud and wanted to know how to get rid of that? I am not confident to remove any growth without knowing for sure it has a beneficial impact on the overall health of the plant and the final results. Any advise is appreciated. She also seemed a bit thirsty to me. The leaves were feeling a bit thin and dry so I gave her 1L of water with .7ml each of fox farm trio. Hopefully she responds well. I will check her in an hour or so to see if the leaves are starting to point back up - fingers crossed.
